I have finally posted the first chapter my new multi-chap fic, We Were Younger! It's a Life is Strange inspired fic where Noel gets the chance to change the life he had before his death, through the power of rewind powers! It's mostly Noel centric with plenty of Nischa, but most importantly, it will be interactive! There will be a few choices for people to make along the way that will determine the course of the story, so I hope people like it!

Sorry for being such a slow writer, it's because I [remembers that self-deprecating jokes are harmful to my mental health and make everyone else uncomfortable] was attacked by dark spirits and washed up on the shore of a mysterious island with no recollection of who I was

lovely writer people, how long does it take for you to write x amount of words?

like for example, i call a productive writing session 3-4k words over 2-3hrs, which includes time taken to research as you write and such (the synonym rabbithole is real)

but i feel like that's not very much?? idk how people write a lot in short periods, sometimes i can do 2k in 30mins to 1hr if it's just plain writing with no fancy description or flowery nonsense that i usually do, but writing fully always takes me several hours

i wish i would work on fics at a reasonable hour, ive been putting off writing for a few days now and just rearranged a whole chapter and split it into two so now my chapter 2 is finished before my chapter 1

and now it's 2am

Do other writers ever get this like, hyper-specific dialogue exchange drop into their brains and you know exactly where these character are standing and what they’re doing and how they’re saying these words but that’s all you get. You don’t have much other context and this specific moment that exists only at this time in your headspace??
