        IT HAD BEEN A rather exhausting day for britt. her early morning classes seemed to drag on for longer than they should and her body was still a bit sore from the two hour long work out she had. in her opinion, nothing sounded better than having an overpriced meal all on her own. so there she was, patiently waiting in line to get a table. however, she didn’t expect what she heard from the staff a few feet from her. the to girls were snickering and pointing towards a table where a man stood on his own, the words ‘date’ and ‘stood up’ slipping from in between their lips. 

        AN IDEA POPPED UP on her head and the female debated if she should do it or not. she figured it was worth a try. taking a deep breath, britt stepped out from the line and hurriedly made her way to the male, taking a seat in front of him. “ i’m so so sorry i’m late ! i got caught up with work and forgot to text you. “ she placed a hand on top of his and shot him a wink, as if to tell him to play along.
