Iris turned, a little surprised at the sound of another voice. But then she relaxed, her smile returning. "You are Cupid, am I right? I have heard of you-it is so lovely to meet you!"

She brushed her fingers against the smooth grass below her feet, and flowers burst right from the ground and bloomed, their petals stretching towards the sunlight. Of course, she was showing off just a little now-she couldn't help it. Today was her day, wasn't it?

The girl nodded, brushing the hair from her eyes. "Oh, yes, today is the very first day of spring! And I have been dreadfully busy, but I have my animals to help me-plus, I don't mind the work!" She giggled, touching the ground for a moment, and with some pink dust more plants grew right from her fingertips. Smiling with delight, she brushed the dirt off her hand and looked at him with shining green eyes. "But why have you come? Not that I mind, of course! I do love company-I rarely have any. I'm just...curious, I guess you can say."

OPEN RP-First Day of Spring

Iris had woken up early. She had known what day it was-she always knew. It was the happiest day of her long life, and the day she looked forward to the most the entire year. Winter was finally over, and spring was finally here.

Iris had dressed in her finest for this day-not that it changed much of her wardrobe, but she did add a little extra so she could look her nicest on the biggest event of her year.

She had run out of her tree home in the Spring Realm, her dog Cosmo chasing her close behind, and she sent out swirls of her pink magic all around the paradise. The sun was shining it’s brightest, and as her pink magic went all around the Realm the animals rose up and called out in roars and squeaks and croaks. To her, it was the most beautiful sound in the world.

“It’s spring everyone! Let’s go out and spread the joy!” She said, letting out a laugh, and the animals followed her out of the Realm and into the outside forest. Of course, the extinct animals stayed in the Realm all year long, but the rest of the animals joined her to spread the season of spring all around the world. Each of the animals carried some of her magic with them, and then they would travel near and far to help spread the season. Iris would help, of course, but having the animals made her job easier.

As the animals went off, the Guardian flew into the air and started to travel, shooting blasts of magic as she went by. Warm winds carried her  quickly past the forest and into towns and cities. As her magic landed in the area, the plants grew green and fresh and the flowers bloomed. Her laughter echoed throughout the world, and the children held the joy in their hearts.

She stopped to rest in a field-everything she touched sprung to life, and flowers grew just as she walked. There were petals in her long auburn hair, and her eyes sparkled with delight. Iris couldn’t be happier than she was now, and the blooming environment showed just that.

She glared at him, but her hands moved on their own. Pink sand magic swirled from her fingertips and was absorbed by the flowers, so they were lively for a while. But then she moved her hands away, and the flowers immediately started to wilt and turn black. Iris sighed and made the dead flowers disappear with a puff of her magic, and then she stood and brushed the grass off of her dress. His smile sent a shiver down her back, but she remained stony-faced with piercing, glaring green eyes. "My flowers died because of you. This better not happen on the first day of spring, you know." Iris stood tall, placing her dainty hands on her small hips. "I intend to make this spring most magnificent, and I will strike if you ruin it." She studied him carefully. "You might not know who I am, but I certainly know who you are. Pitch Black, the Nightmare King. I don't know whether to be honored or not."

Iris sat in a large tree in the middle of some woods, humming to herself with her eyes closed. It was how she mediated and calmed down-and she needed to calm down, with all the anxiety she had because spring was just around the corner. As she sat there, green vines wrapped around the tree, and the tree even began to have blossoms blooming on the branches.

She was interrupted because she heard someone walking nearby. Eagerly, she stood on one of the branches, and she saw a human walking along. Iris would have dropped down to see if he could see her, but then the branch she stood on started to bend under her weight. She would have almost fallen if she hadn't grabbed ahold of the branch, and coincidentally the branch leaned right in front of the new human. Iris giggled, brushing the hair out of her eyes, and she sheepishly said, "Hello!"

Iris turned in surprise, eyebrows raised. But then she smiled again, her green eyes gleaming. "Oh, you can see me!" She says, laughing happily and clasping her hands together. "Well, I have to be this way-it is my nature. I'm Iris, by the way, Guardian of joy and springtime! And who might you be?"

“It is a lovely day, isn’t it? You know, spring is just a few weeks away! Oh, and I can’t wait!” Iris giggles, running a hand through her long hair and smiling her usual bright smile.

Iris had been in a park, the ground around her sprouting flowers at her feet, and she had been slowly walking around. Spring was just around the corner, and soon she would be busy. But for now, she enjoyed the solitary moments of winter, though she couldn't help but make flowers bloom with her happiness, and flowers even sprouted on the frosted branches of trees as she passed by.

But then she stood in place, feeling a strange presence near her. Then her flowers started to die, and she gasped and quickly knelt to try and revive them. Then she looked up, and squinted her green eyes at the dark figure. "Pitch Black. I knew it was you."

So I am definitely going to be on here more often. WOOT!

But I did something for the blog! It's small, but it's pretty awesome.

So I noticed that a lot of RP blogs had signatured for their characters when they answered questions, like they signed the answer or something, which I thought was pretty awesome and it made the asks look official.

Finally, I found out how to do the signature thing, so this is how Iris will sign her questions and stuff from now on!

It's simple, but it's nice and I really like it.

So yeah. Iris will be signing stuff now.

Iris noticed that he looked at her flowers, and she giggled happily. "Oh, aren't they just beautiful? Of course, the addition of frost only makes them more wonderful, right?"

When he held out his hand, she immediately took it and shook it politely. Her warm hand contrasted with his cold one, and she felt the cold distinctly yet somehow she did not mind. "I'm Iris, Guardian of spring and joy! I didn't really think you'd hear of me-I'm not very popular. But oh, I have heard so many good things about you! And...well, winter is my favorite season besides spring, so naturally I would know about you. It is truly a pleasure to finally meet you, Jack!"

Iris frowns, lowering herself to the ground, noticing the air becoming cooler. As she lands, flowers sprout at her feet, but she notices a layer of frost on the petals. Her green eyes widen, and she turns to the boy behind her, grinning. “Jack Frost! Oh, it is so lovely to finally meet you!”

I'M BACK?

SO I know you guys have probably not missed me, and you have probably not been freaking out, like "WHERE THE FUCK DID IRIS GO WHEN SPRING IS LIKE NEXT MONTH!"

To tell you guys the simple truth, the mun for Iris is going through a state of depression. Don't worry, I am getting better, and everyone in my family and all of my friends are trying to get me through it, but I have just had a really rough week.

This account and my other RP accounts (yes, I do have other ones that I basically never update anymore) have also been severely distracting me from my schoolwork, so I have not been on it at all this week because I am trying to focus and I won't be on here as often as I would like. But, such is life.

Since today is Friday, and I am going to get as much homework as I can done for today, I will start replying again for the weekend. I will try and finish my homework earlier from now on so I can update this blog, but there will be no promises as of now.

I am really sorry that I have not been here in a while, and I am actually surprised that 70 of you still follow me. To my followers, I personally thank you for putting up with all of my emotional shit.

Iris had heard Pitch coming up behind her, but she paid him no attention. Slowly, memories trickled back-the man was her father, she remembered now. He had been cruel and unloving to her-her mother had said that he wanted a son instead of a daughter, and once her mother gave birth to her she could not bear any more children. When Iris fell in love with someone low on the class scale, it must have been the last straw for her father.

But...murder? Her own father murdered someone, and on top of that it was someone she loved?

Finally, she turns to him, a sad smile on her face. Her darkened eyes begin to show signs of life again. "It's alright. I am...a little glad, actually. I know what killed the person I loved the most, finally. I knew it was never an accident. That's why I died, you know-I couldn't bear with the sadness that his death went so unresolved and I had to be married to someone I didn't love." She thinks for a moment, and then her smile becomes brighter. "But I forgive my father." She whispers, giggling a little. "I forgive him! And that is the greatest thing about joy-joy takes away all of the negative thoughts you have for someone, and it makes you think clearly. It helps you forgive, even if you think you cannot forgive someone." Iris looks around, her green eyes seeming a little brighter now. "I do not understand how you can live in such...sadness, I guess. Knowing everyone's fears, their sadness, their terror. Always in the shadows." She looks at him again, frowning. "Have you ever seen a beautiful spring day? You know, when the sun it shining at it's absolute brightest and the flowers are fully bloomed? It wouldn't seem like something you would like to see, but it would be a change from all of...this."

Pitch held up his hands in defensive  “I’m not doing anything. You’re creating these thoughts yourself. I merely make you aware of them.” Smirking, he brought his hands back down. “I know nothing about your past and your memories. That’s Toothiana. If you need to consult your history, I’d talk to her.”
