I think a lot of people (including me) make the mistake of thinking that Book! Athos has more braincells than the other three.

When the fact is that he absolutely does not, he’s just quiet and sad. He has the same 1/4th of a braincell as his other friends.

Remember, this is the man who legitimately believes that D’Artagnan is the greatest mind of their time.
