im so srs rn being adjacent to swifties while having like. taste is so hard. ttpd is ass. its so bad. i genuinely think shes a talented songwriter but this album was so bad im still thinking about it. i had to listen to haunted taylors version to feel better the first time i tried to listen to it and still gave up because the shitty music was just THAT BAD. one of the songs i havent listened to yet has a half-baked sisyphus comparison where she says “I pushed each boulder up the hill / Your words are still just ringing in my head, ringing in my head,”

thats from the kim k diss track apparently idk i havent listened to it yet thinking about it makes me angry. i know you all know whats wrong with this picture but i feel like everything she knows about sisyphus is the meme and i want to shake her by the throat and explain the myth to her and explain to swifties on instagram why the album sucks but i cant because i dont want to talk to taylor swift ever and if i say mean things about her on instagram my sister who is a die-hard swiftie might see and i dont want to spoil her fun. but like this album sucks its so bad. if any swifties search her name on tumblr and are confused wrt to sisyphus heres a crash course source im autistic

sisyphus cheats death a few times which is interesting but not the point of my cristicism bc what shes referencing is his punishment. so when he finally dies for real hades punishes him for his hooliganery by making him push this big boulder up a hill. the deal is thus: when the boulder reaches the top? he can go be alive again. however the situation is elaborately rigged or cursed or whatever and the point is he never gets the boulder to the top of the hill. ever. so if taylor is pushing "each boulder up the hill" that means a) there are multiple boulders and b) shes making progress when the fact that theres only one boulder and sisyphus can never make any progress is like the whole point. like. it just goes woosh over her head apparently idk and its not THAT important but it PISSES ME OFF. if ur gonna call this a poetry album GET YOUR LITERARY REFERENCES RIGHT she could be SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS ARGHHHH

Every season has a distinct feel, I tried a new style to tell their stories through distinct shapes (and rl is like that for funsies)

I feel like no one's mentioned this yet but Joel seems to be really good at turning himself into not the but of the joke

Like at the start of the neck kisses bit, everyone was just making fun of Joel's slip up and him insisting "I don't kiss people's necks"

But by the end of the stream everyone was groaning when he made the joke and now he's signing books with "neck kisses"

Now with the Etho's obsessed bit, somehow all the hermits are actually making fun of Etho over Joel for being obsessed, even though Joe started this two years ago by wearing Etho's face on his chest
