The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.
"Baby = success. More baby = more success. I have one baby and I found four other baby. I have five baby. I am being so fucking successful right now."

What do we think of this?

+ the strong theory that Gaster and Papyrus are/were the same person
+ the one that the man behind the tree is someone that got almost coded out/was one of the characters originally from Deltarune before Gaster started messing with the world...
i def do feel the connections between papyrus and the egg man. i don't see papyrus as gaster/never have and don't particularly like it. i don't know what to make of the connections going on since the forgotten man talks somewhat differently and seems tied to Kris very strongly but it's Interesting
#yeah no i think gaster is connected to papyrus/sans but not One Of Them#like the theory about him being their father or another skele bro#maybe theyre the family eggs.....#theres definitely Something Here idk if the man behind the tree is papyrus or just like. Cinematic Parallels

I'd seen lots of people describe Night in the Woods as being heavily rooted in the experience of growing up in a dying small town in the American Rust Belt, but somehow nobody told my West Virginian ass that it's so Appalachian that I probably live closer to where Mae's house would be than to the nearest IKEA.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what sorts of cartoons we get when the folks whose formative media experience was spending hours a day parked in front of an iPad watching endless YouTube content farm pregnant Spider-Man machinima vids become the next generation of creators.
#we're probably gonna get at least a COUPLE of incredible pieces of art outta it#and also a number of just kind of slightly bizzare cartoons but a new type of bizarre than the last few rounds#out with ren and stimpy derivatives in with. whatever the fucks gonna happen here.
