have you read a trace of two pasts? and I don't mean snippets in twitter screenshots, have you read the complete book? Because honestly, trying to do an analysis on these two is pointless if you don't know their canonical backstories.
I'm working my way through it right now actually!! I admit I'm going a little slow so I'm only about 1/2 way through Tifa's part right now but hopefully I'll be able to sit down with it a little longer soon :)
#its made my comphet tifa headcanon have a little more weight to it though which is peak#also i might be remembering wrong because its been a minute since i read it but i swear tifa's scar placement in it vs rebirth didnt match#book said diagonal (which is what it looked like the og game too I think) while with rebirth its horizontal#i'm assuming it got written before that detail was finalized in rebirth#anyways yeah my opinions will prob change once i'm done with it but im not yet so

Okay I've chatted a few times about making a ffvii PowerPoint and a dew people seemed interested in seeing it but I have a disorder that makes me never want to commit to a task ever and unfortunately its low on my priority list.
So! I was wondering! Would anyone be interested in a probably ugly (for now) google slides presentation that I will update as I have time? It might be out of order and unorganized and never even get finished but at least I'll be able to write down my thoughts somewhere you guys can look at it.
I would make a post or something everytime it gets a decent sized update and I've thought about making a separate blog dedicated to it if folks only wanted to see it and any other analysis. The update posts would probably have at least a summarized version of what the update was talking about.
Anyways definitely let me know both about the slides and separate blog stuff :)

Remake!Aerith is such a beautiful character because square really went "hey remember that optimistic whimsical flower girl? Give her knowledge of the horrors and the false belief that she can fix them only for her to slowly realize that she can't. Then have her sing a song about how she wishes she didn't have her knowledge of the horrors. Yeah, add lyrics about her mixed feelings on fate because its what caused her to meet her friends who she loves more than anyone in the world but is also the thing that will rip her away from them. AND THEN have her attempt to try and prevent as much pain as possible by telling the protagonist that whatever happens won't be his fault only for it to horribly backfire and make his denial of her death so bad he convinces himself that he saved her and that she is alive. Oh, and as an extra treat make her and the other main love interest for the protagonist all but kiss on the mouth."
