It’s important that you promote the entire city where your listings located instead of just posting / promoting the actual listing itself! At the end of the day you want to be viewed as a real estate expert & that’s not going to be an easy feat if you’re only posting about one listing at a time. Promote the entire city, or at the bare minimum start with a neighborhood & work your way around the city until you’ve covered EVERY area. That’s not the problem, the problem is how do they build a social media following? Especially when there’s so many other businesses trying to do the exact same thing!

I’ve helped a lot of business owners grow their social media followings, and below I’ve shared 4 of the most effective ways for business owners to grow their online following.
1. Authenticity Is Essential, Be Human
A large number of business owners think your brands social media following has to picture-perfect.
What do I mean when I say picture-perfect?
I mean, a large number of business owners believe that their businesses social media profiles have to display a corporate image. The problem that often comes with business owners trying to display a corporate image on their social media is lack of personality.
Times have changed.. people have changed.. they want to see you. People want to see how you interact with you brand.
They want to see what makes your business special and it’s your job to show them exactly what they want!
One of the most common mistakes I see business owners make is failing to be authentic. Just because it’s your businesses social media page doesn’t mean you can’t be human, it’s important that you interact with your followers.
I recommend moving away from the thought that this is your businesses social media profile. Act as if it’s your personal social media profile and speak to your followers as if they’re your friends. Focus on building relationships, and sharing valuable information.
Move away from the technical side of social media marketing.
So many business owners make the mistake of thinking of their followers as numbers. Instead think of your followers as exactly what they are, people.
Treat every follower as a real person and you’ll have no trouble building your following. People know the difference of a business trying to sale them something, compared to a business trying to connect with them.
Instead of starting your online relationship off by trying to make a sale, try offering valuable information that your followers need. By offering valuable information to your followers, they’ll look at your business favorably and remember this when it comes time to make a purchase.
2. Pain Points - Pain Points - Pain Points
Social media for businesses is very different than social media for consumers!
Whenever attempting to grow an online following go back to the basics.
People follow others on social media because their friends, they admire them, or they have something that they want.
So, think about why people follow businesses on social media. People either follow business for one of two reasons:
1) To stay in the loop, to know when certain items are being released and to know what’s going on with the business in general.
2) For information that they find valuable and/or entertaining.
Figuring out your target audiences pain points is essential to the overall success of your businesses social media efforts. Knowing what your audience wants and expects from your business is essential to building a valuable online following.

A great way to initiate any marketing campaign is by looking at successful brands social media profiles within your industry. Pay close attention to their content to see what works best and what receives the most engagement.
