LG’s In-Vehicle Infotainment System to Debut in Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric

LG’s next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment system will make its debut in the new Renault Mégane E-TECH Electric in 2022. The stunning new vehicle equipped with LG’s advanced IVI system was unveiled at the world’s largest mobility conference held recently in Munich, Germany – IAA MOBILITY 2021. The software that powers the IVI system is developed by LG in partnership with Renault and is based on Google Android Automotive. It is the first software developed by LG utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), a set of principles and processes to help large organizations adopt agile methodologies to develop and deliver high-quality products and services faster.

LG’s Android-based IVI system is the first system based on Android 10 to receive certification from Google Automotive Services (GAS). Honda to Begin Battery Sharing Service for Electric Tricycle Taxis in India in the First Half of 2022

Honda Motor today announced plans to begin a battery sharing service for electric tricycle taxis (so-called “rickshaws”) in India, in the first half of 2022, using the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (“MPP e:”), Honda’s all-new portable and swappable batteries. Honda’s battery sharing service will enable rickshaw drivers to stop by at the nearest battery swapping stations being set up in the city and swap a MPP e: with a low remaining charge for a fully-charged MPP e:.

There are more than 8 million units of auto rickshaws in India, and they have been an essential means of daily transportation for people. In consideration of this new business, Honda began demonstration testing in India in February 2021, with 30 units of electric rickshaw taxis driven for a total of more than 200,000 km in operation. Through this testing, Honda identified issues to be addressed and verified business viability.

Electrified mobility products currently available in the market are facing three issues: short range, long charging time and high cost of batteries. In order to contribute to India’s effort to accelerate electrification and expand the use of renewable energy, Honda will work to eliminate these three issues through the use of swappable batteries and by sharing such batteries. To this end, Honda will start a battery sharing service for electric rickshaws, using MPP e: in the first half of 2022.

EIZO announces seven CuratOR Surgical Panel models with 4K UHD resolution

Today, EIZO announced seven new CuratOR Surgical Panel standard models with 4K UHD resolution, new LUT switching, and touchscreen options, as well as an optional intuitive video management function. The EIZO Surgical Panel enables the intraoperative workflow in the operating room (OR) to be carried out from a central location. The new Surgical Panel series offers 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and a proven design. This is EIZO’s response to the ever-growing number of high-resolution imaging systems.

Every EIZO 4K Surgical Panel is equipped with an easy-access LUT switch as standard. One of five predefined look-up tables can be selected with the simple press of a button. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group to deliver Japan’s First Systems for Automated Valet Parking and Automated Transportation of Finished Vehicles

Two Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group companies have reached an agreement with Stanley Robotics, a French venture-backed company, on joint development of Japan’s first business in advanced autonomous handling robots enabling automated valet parking service and automated transportation of finished vehicles. Stanley Robotics is a startup offering the world’s first automated valet parking systems employing autonomous handling robots, with systems already in operation at airports in France and the UK.

Use of autonomous handling robots offers a number of significant benefits: greater convenience for users of large car parks, relief from manpower shortages in the transportation of finished vehicles at car manufacturing sites, 24/7 operation, reduced carbon emissions, etc. By combining Stanley Robotics’ autonomous handling robots with MHI Group’s accumulated expertise in mechanical parking garages, traffic flow management systems, and unmanned system surveillance/management systems, services will be provided matching diverse customer needs.

Ahead of full-scale adoption of highly automated driving systems, provision of automated valet parking services by autonomous handling robots enables efficient use of limited garage space at shopping malls, commercial complexes, amusement parks, etc. Drivers stand to benefit from significantly enhanced convenience, freed from the stress of searching for a parking space or parking far from their destination. Nikon Announces New FPD Lithography System FX-6AS

Nikon today announced the release of the new FPD lithography system FX-6AS that supports small and medium-size panels. Nikon FX-6AS is an optimal FPD lithography system for manufacturing high definition organic light emitting diode (OLED) panels and LCD panels for the latest and high-definition mobile devices, such as smartphones. For the exposure of circuit patterns, the FX-6AS has achieved a high resolution of 1.2 μm (L/S) for binary masks and 1.1μm (L/S) for phase shift masks. The FX-6AS features the multi-lens system consisting of multiple projection lenses, realizing wide exposure field and excellent efficiency.

With the newly developed projection lens, the FX-6AS enables the highest level of resolution, high alignment accuracy, and high throughput. The FX-6AS employs an i-line light source that has been used in the existing models. This enables the high-volume production of high-definition panels without changing the existing manufacturing processes. With the introduction of the new projection lens, the improved stage, and the enhanced illumination power, the FX-6AS achieves high throughput. It provides a high throughput of 85 plates per hour when using a binary mask.

Razer Zephyr Atemschutzmaske für den Gamer

Vor einiger Zeit stellte Razer mit der Zephyr eine Atemschutzmaske vor, welche passend zum restlichen Razer-Portfolio mit LEDs ausgestattet war und auch mit einem coolen Look daherkam.

Project Hazel bekannt, kommt Zephyr nun auch endlich auf den Markt. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Atemmaske die mit N95-Filter ausgestattet werden kann und über einen coolen Gaming-Look verfügt, denn es sind natürlich LEDs verbaut – wer hätte bei Razer auch etwas anderes erwartet. Die Maske wiegt 206 Gramm und dank eingebauter Lüfter soll das Atmen leichter fallen, da die frisch gefilterte Luft frei zirkulieren kann. Die Lüfter können in ihrer Geschwindigkeit angepasst werden (4200 & 6200 U/Min. Eine Besonderheit ist das transparente Design mit Antibeschlag-Beschichtung, so kann man das Gesicht des Gegenüber noch gut erkennen, dank Innenbeleuchtung sogar bei Nacht.

Die Maske kann über USB-C aufgeladen werden, eine Akkuladung soll hier bis zu 8 Stunden durchhalten, bei 4200 U/Min, bei 6.200 U/Min soll nach 3,5 Stunden Schluss sein. Über eine App kann die Beleuchtung der Maske eingestellt werden.

Razer Zephyr kaufen

Razer Zephyr wird in Deutschland zu einem Preis von 109,99€ auf den Markt kommen und im Lieferumfang sind neben der Maske auch drei Filtereinsätze. Weitere Filtereinsätze für einen Monat der Nutzung kann man auf der Webseite kaufen, diese liegen bei 34,99€.

Die Maske scheint beliebt zu sein, denn sie ist bereits ausverkauft. Laut Razer-Webseite wird sie aber bald wieder verfügbar sein, also stay tuned.

Razer und Luxusuhrenhersteller Panerai gehen nachhaltige Partnerschaft ein

Auf der diesjährigen RazerCon, der firmeneigenen Onlinekonferenz, wurde eine interessante Partnerschaft zwischen Razer und der Luxusuhrenmarke Panerai angekündigt.

Grün ist die Farbe von Razer und unter dem Hashtag #GoGreenWithRazer setzt sich das Unternehmen für eine nachhaltige Zukunft ein. Razer wird bis Ende 2021 die Richtlinien für Umwelt, Soziales und Verwaltung der Börse in Hongkong erfüllen, will aber noch einen Schritt weiter gehen und zusammen mit seiner großen Community komplett grün werden und nachhaltigere Produkte und nachhaltige Investitionen tätigen. So will das Unternehmen bis 2025 zusammen mit seinen Distributoren und Händlern die Entsorgung und das Recycling ihrer Produkte ermöglichen. Aktuell kann man schon seine Razer Produkte zum Recyling zu den RazerStores bringen. Bis 2022 will man den CO2-Fußabdruck seiner Produkte veröffentlichen. Und auf der RazerCon wurden nun auch weitere Partnerschaften bekanntgegeben, unter anderem auch mit Panerai.

Im April diesen Jahres stellte Panerai eine Konzeptuhr vor, die fast komplett aus recyceltem Material besteht, 98,6% um genau zu sein. Die Submersible eLAB-ID ist auf 30 Stück limitiert und wird 2022 für 60.000 US-Dollar auf den Markt kommen. Eine weitere Besonderheit hierbei ist die Tatsache dass Panerai seine Zulieferer bekanntgegeben hat, so dass auch andere Uhrenhersteller an die besonderen recycelten Materialien kommen können. Panerai ist dafür bekannt exotische Materialien für ihre Uhren einzusetzen, so z.B. CarboTech, ein Kunststoff basierend auf Karbonfaser, der bisher noch nie in der Uhrmacherei eingesetzt wurde.

Auf jeden Fall eine sehr interessante Partnerschaft, denn dass ein Gamingunternehmen mit einer Luxusuhrenmarke zusammenarbeitet, das gab es bisher noch nicht. Aber Panerai ist ja auch dafür bekannt coole Partnerschaften einzugehen, so verkündeten sie vor Kurzem erst ihre Partnerschaft mit Brabus und stellten eine limitierte Uhr vor.

Kaum eine Uhrenmarke hat sich dem Meer so verschrieben wie Panerai, bekannt geworden sind sie durch ihre Militär-Taucheruhren, in den letzten Jahren aber auch durch ihre Regattauhren. Und deshalb setzt sich das Unternehmen mit Nachhaltigkeitsprojekten auch für das Meer ein. Eine Besonderheit bei den Uhren von Panerai ist auch ihre neongrüne Leuchtmasse auf dem Ziffernblatt, die perfekt zum Grün von Razer passt. Es wird eine Razer x Panerai Uhr geben, ein kleiner Teaser wurde auch schon gezeigt und er macht Lust auf mehr!

Viel kann man leider in dem Teaser nicht erkennen, der Kronenschutz wird über den Razer-Schriftzug verfügen und das Material wird wahrscheinlich ähnlich sein wie bei der Anfang des Jahres vorgestellten Konzeptuhr aus recyceltem Material. Als Paneristi (Besitzer / Fanboys der Marke Panerai) kann ich es aber kaum abwarten sie einmal live zu sehen.

Die italienische Luxusuhrenmarke Panerai ist vor allem für ihre Taucheruhren im einzigartigen Design bekannt, die auch vom italienischen Militärtauchern eingesetzt wurden. Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger und viele andere Stars schwören auf die Marke und tragen sie nicht nur privat, sondern auch in ihren Filmen. Auch ich bin ein Fan der Marke und der ikonischen Panerai Luminor, weshalb ich schon sehr gespannt bin auf die Partnerschaft. Im März 2022 wird es die nächste Ankündigung zur Partnerschaft geben.
