euxjoonwoo:
Joon Woo spluttered in confusion. “There’s a drakon roaming the grounds and you think we’re going to just take strolls every night? Not to mention the barrier. It was down for a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if some monsters got a whiff of demigod during that time and decided to scout the place.” Joon Woo said all this like it was matter-of-fact, but he’d only fueled the anxiety he felt and from how Isang had been behaving all night, he probably felt the same about this entire situation. Still…
“Hey,” he smiled, trying to put on an air of confidence, we’re gonna be fine, Isang. Even if something did come at us—and I’m not saying it will—with my powers—I mean if you ignore the whole ‘unskilled’ aspect—and your brains, I think we’d get by just fine. You’re a great leader! You help out way more than you know. Like now–your presence is more than enough help–to me at least.”
Running away with his thoughts and feelings, Joon Woo realized he’d been saying quite a lot—and it was embarrassing. He could feel his cheeks redden and the air turn even more humid. The fog increased with it. Wow these powers were a pain. “Sorry,” he mumbled.
The child of Hypnos stared at his companion, tiny wheels and cogs of his mind grinding painfully in order to process Joon Woo’s words into a more accurate picture of their grim reality. The school officials had ordered student volunteers to notify them immediately if they happened to stumble upon anything that shouldn’t be there; dangerous or not. Isang had been terrified to volunteer, of course, but he’d looked at the situation from a completely logical and rational standpoint. Just go to the place, tell an ‘adult’ if you see the bad thing.
What sort of dream was he actually living in?
A chill gripped him at the base of his spine and spread throughout his body until he could no longer feel his fingertips or nose. Cold sweat beaded his forehead and his already moonkissed complexion sank to an unnatural hue. Joon Woo’s sudden about-face in attitude did nothing to reassure Isang, especially not when he’d now been officially labeled as the ‘leader’ of their duo.
As this freshly instilled dread began to subside, Isang sighed heavily, annoyance inching itself into his eyebrow, which rendered a couple sharp twitches. It seemed Joon Woo had managed to dampen his own outlook too, or at least, the atmosphere, because it was growing increasingly foggy in their vicinity. His apology, although appreciated, was not enough to compensate for their worsening conditions.
“You know, a big advantage to monster hunting would be being able to see the monsters, Joon Woo,” Isang grumbled softly as he gathered what little courage he possessed and began to creep forward again.

Isang was distracted, to say the least. Consciousness burrowed in thought, yet his eyes darted around chaotically. He kept his tall companion in his peripherals at all times since it would be just his luck to end up separated from Joon Woo and then...eaten. His ears pricked when he spoke up, gaze sliding to his flawless profile. Isang’s frown deepened at the mention of the dearly departed. He hadn’t known the girl himself and he too couldn’t help thinking it could’ve been any of them. He continued to hold his tongue, expression stoic as ever as Joon Woo continued to make an attempt at conversation. He did appreciate it, even if he couldn’t find the time to verbalize it.
Isang’s brows rose when Joon Woo suddenly turned to him and they continued their elevation with every word, as did the wideness of his eyes. “Who said anything about fighting?!” he blurted out, looking around frantically for a moment in case he’d drawn the attention of anything he should not have. A sigh huffed from between his lips and he crammed his hands into his pants pockets dejectedly. “I don’t like fighting. This is patrolling. They asked us to patrol, which is the opposite of fighting,” he insisted with an edge to his tone. He was trying and failing to cover up the fact that he didn’t have a good reason for volunteering. In fact, he was not a good candidate in the slightest.
Pausing, he sent an apologetic look Joon Woo’s way. “I just felt like I should help...I’m the RA in our dorm so...obviously, I’m the one who should volunteer,” he reasoned weakly.
@isangeu
It was only a half our into their watch and nothing alarming had happened, but Joon Woo couldn’t help the anxiety that swirled inside him. The humidity was starting to form a thin mist, but he couldn’t help it. He knew he had no right to complain—he’d volunteered to help patrol Eonia’s borders after all, but that didn’t mean he was particularly excited at the prospect of running into a drakon or whatever else had been attracted to the university while the barrier had been down. At least he had good, if not quiet, company beside him to wait out the long shift.
“Hey, Isang? Did you know the girl who…,” Joon Woo couldn’t bring himself to say it. The news had been hard to process when he’d first heard. He hadn’t known Paige, but it still saddened him that the whole reason they were doing patrols was because of a young girl’s death. “Um, well, I just can’t help thinking that could’ve been any of us. And now here we are, playing guards in the middle of the night hoping a drakon doesn’t pop out of the bushes.”
Joon Woo paused, a thought suddenly occurring to him. He looked over at Isang curiously. “Wait, why are you patrolling, anyway? I thought you didn’t like fighting?”

sleepwalk
@eubyeol
Isang groaned as he forced his eyes open. It was as if he could immediately feel, in the depths of his bones, how far between dusk and dawn he’d awoken. Despite the difficulty in opening eyes that always looked and felt a bit tired, he felt completely and uncharacteristically awake. He spared a glance to the nearest clock, unconsciously rolling his eyes when he verified the time. “Two o’clock...perfect,” he rasped as he eased himself up from his impossibly comfortable bed and swung his legs over the side.
Walking around campus in the darkest part of night is certainly not encouraged, but Isang was certain he wouldn’t be getting back to sleep any time soon. If he wanted to even think about sleeping again, he needed a bit of fresh night air and to stretch his perpetually sore legs. Halfway through his campus lap, he found himself gazing upwards. Not to the sky, for clarity or other reasons, but to the dorm rooms of his fellow classmates. He couldn’t help being curious about sleep. Not so much who was sleeping, but who wasn’t...and why.
Passing the next courtyard, Isang was all to unsurprised to see one window in particular alight. He sighed, steps faltering and then halting altogether. ‘Leave him be...if his face lands in the mac-n-cheese tomorrow in the cafeteria it’s his own fault,’ he warned himself. But that didn’t stop his feet from taking him to the door of the Athenian dorm. After visiting on many nights past curfew...for the same reason he was now, he knew exactly how to sneak in and made his way to the room of one of the handful of people he considered his friend.
His knuckles rapping against the door nearly sounded like canonfire in the silent hallway but he held his ground, waiting patiently to hear movement inside. When he was pretty sure he’d heard footsteps shuffling hesitantly to the door, he tapped again, this time quieter. “Byeolie...” he grumbled. They both knew why he was here.

Please excuse my lame Metallica reference. I’m already regretting typing it but I can’t seem to erase it either...Anyway! Thanks for the warm welcome! I’m Moony and this is my guy Isang who is generally just having a hard time at all times. (Mostly self-induced TBH) He comes off as very cold and withdrawn but I promise he’s a little s o f t i e underneath the squinting and scowling.
He has basic stats, a bio, and I’m currently working on plots but please HMU here or on discord if you have one you think would work for him or want to brainstorm something up!
Here’s a brief rundown on Isang:
BIG Marshal from Animal Crossing vibes, sulky
Child of Hypnos but somehow always looks like he hasn’t slept in a good 6 years
Resting Bitch Face 99% of the time due to being awake,low on patience for loud people and anger because he’s short and scrawny and surrounded by kids who look like the actual Gods/Goddesses they descended from
Gummy Smile 1% of the time. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
Please try to tolerate him and bring some joy to his life so we can raise his Gummy Smile percentage T_T
Has Mommy Issues and Daddy Issues
His major is Cognitive Psychology...he’s going to be an actual Hypnotist
His main ability is Memory Retrieval which, I think people would generally be intimidated by? Especially if they have a lot of secrets or a troubled past. But of course Isang will not just automatically know all of your muse’s dirty little secrets unless you ask me to (and I will definitely say yes lmao)
He had to learn a very difficult lesson about using his ability responsibly. He had only the best, purest intentions but he meddled too much in his Mom’s mind when he took a close look at how unhappy she’d been over the years and the struggles she’d gone through and it basically broke her mentally.
Cannot, will not ever forgive himself
His mother was actually a pretty famous opera singer (not that a lot of people listen to opera lol) but Isang would rather DIE than anyone know that he did an entire album with her when he was a child (before his voice changed). Think full-on Pie Jesu vibes.
DISCLAIMER - If your muse wants to discover this information I cannot be held accountable for what Isang will do if confronted with this fact. He promised to only use his abilities for good but, this is an exception.
#euintro#[i'm actually dying over the little boy in this performance omg#[100% isang with the frown and the little tuxedo
