jason had six months at camp half blood because the greeks needed time to prepare for the quest and jason, with all the years a sense of duty has been drilled into him, would stay there. of course, he would try to go with the gods' plan as best he could. percy had a week at camp jupiter because all it would've taken was someone telling him he had a new york accent before he'd be gone and outta there.
