I am so excited to share the fic I wrote for @sthbigbang! The idea struck me on a random afternoon and now I've ended up with long fic focusing around Silver, Shadow and Omega as they navigate a ruined future. The fic is around 65k in length with 6 chapters, features a QPR relationship between the three of them and will be updating on Mondays! Go check it out!

Now to thank my awesome beta reader @deimostes, who also was the main inspiration for this fic! Your shadomegilver art unlocked something in my brain and out popped this fic.

Sonictober Day 28 - Protect

so uhh tbh i'm not a big fan of the whole Silver being super awestruck by Whisper thing overall

but i can at least appreciate the irony of him calling anyone else a 'guardian angel', because in the grand scheme of things the title is arguably more suited to him given the almost disproportionate amount of directly protecting people from danger he does

saving characters falling to their deaths at various points, blocking an energy beam that could have otherwise wiped out a town, shielding a whole bunch of characters from Eggperial City exploding, saving Sonic from being overwhelmed by zombots just as he's about to turn etc. etc. etc.

it's to the point i almost wonder if it's an outright guideline for his character to prioritize protecting and supporting other characters over direct offense, but i guess it could also just be the fact that compared to other characters his abilities just uniquely lend themselves very well to being used like that so idk
