Sad and happy-ish thoughts

Probably no one will read this, but I logged in for the first time in what seems like forever, getting ready to spill some depressing thoughts.

I was getting ready to write my goodbye note.

And then I saw my title, a word Aragorn said to a fearful boy before the battle that would inevitably take his life in much the same way I want to take my own: There is always hope.

That phrase, though short, gave me a candle’s worth of hope, if only to stave off my ending it all for just another day.

Just one more day, one more step, one more breath… Why is it so hard? Somebody, please.

I want someone to write a book where Mermaids are the women thrown off ships when the sailors got afraid because having a woman on the boat is bad luck. And as they sink to the bottom, legs tied together, they change slowly until they can breathe, until they can use their tied up legs to swim. And they drown sailors in revenge, luring them in by singing in their husky voices still stinging from the salt water they breathed.

This is why I’m terrified to admit that I’ve been a victim of sexual assault.

I can’t wait to be married and to come home after a long day and to simply curl up next to my favorite person in the whole world and fall asleep and I can’t wait to look at their cute little face everyday and to kiss their nose when they wake up and to sit across from them in the morning and talk about our dreams over a cup of coffee. that sounds like a grand ol’ time
