As the beat started to play, Malva’s finger started to tap along with it, softly against his knee. Head bobbing to the music. Taking in the lyrics as they came. He could feel the emotion throughout the whole song. Not even saying a word until the song ended. “That, wow. One of her past relationships?” the only question as of now falling from his lips. Normally the fae was hyper not really one to be serious but at times, the war fae spilled through. “babe, your voice is filled with so much emotion and with the instrumentals and beat-- this’ll be a best seller. I can guarantee it.”

“Yeah, she’s got a pretty hefty songwriting background. She’s written songs for country artists in the states that have charted on itunes, so I guess I’m really lucky in that regard!” Seolhee nods. “I think she’s trying to make some extra money now that she’s pregnant. I don’t blame her at all. Alright so, I’ll play it.” She clicks on the play button on her laptop. “I’ll tell you the story afterward about it, but it’s not about anything current. She wrote this song two years ago and just edited it now so I could use it. I’ve got others for the mini-album but one’s a surprise for our anniversary so I’m not showing you now!”

Music was something that always told a story about whoever had written or produce it. All she could remember from the weeks that past were the silents she felt within the dorm she shared with two others. They had all gone away for the rest of the weekend seeing as it was coming up to American Thanksgiving break. Most students if they hadn’t had class’s take off before the break even began, leaving the girl to her own devices. Not truly knowing if going home would do much good. Then there was the fact of Yeri begging her for almost three weeks to get his friend to come to the concert that’d be held soon. So, like a best friend would even though she felt guilt still wallowing up inside. She went. 

Glancing at his hand that gripped on to her own, the witch took in a deep breath.

“I didn’t want to worry you and I knew the minute you’d known about the necklace you’d risk your own life to find it again. I couldn’t make you do that. not with the dream you’d had since a child and almost achieving it at the time.”
