All the other Muslims in the world join the hajjis (pilgrims) in Mecca, in celebrating the Eid ul Adha (Festival of Sacrifice), marking the end of the pilgrimage. On the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, Muslims around the world wear their nicest clothing and attend a special prayer gathering in the morning. This is followed by a short sermon, after which everyone stands up to hug and greet one another. Next, people visit each other”s homes and partake in festive meals with special dishes, beverages, and desserts. Children receive gifts and sweets on this joyous occasion.In addition, like the pilgrims in Mecca, those Muslims who can afford to do so offer domestic animals, usually sheep, as a symbol of Ibraham”s sacrifice. The meat is distributed for consumption to family, friends, and to the poor and needy.The Eid ul-Adha is a major religious event in the lives of Muslims. Usually, communities celebrate this occasion over a period of several days.Who is Ibrahim (As)?Ibraham is a figure revered by Muslims, Jews, and Christians alike as a righteous person who lived over four thousand years ago. His story can be found in the Bible as well as the Qur”an. Ibraham is considered to be the patriarch of monotheism, or “belief in the One God,” who sought a personal relationship with his Creator.He and his son, Isma”il constructed the Ka”ba, an empty cube-shaped building, as a place dedicated for the worship of the One God.What is the Hajj?Hajj is in commemoration of the trials of Ibraham and his family in Mecca, which included Ibraham”s willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, in response to God”s command. It was, no doubt, the most strenuous test for Ibraham; when he finally brought himself together to obey, followed by God”s will to spare the boy and ransom him with the ram.The Hajj consists of several ceremonies, meant to symbolize the essential concepts of the Islamic faith and to re-enact the Divine rituals observed by the Prophet Abraham and his son Isma”il, who were the first pilgrims to the House of Allah on earth: the Ka”ba. It is also to remember the great assembly of the Day of Judgement when people will stand equal before Allah.On the first official day of Hajj (8th of Dhul-Hijjah), the two million pilgrims travel a few miles to the plain of Mina and camp there. From Mina, pilgrims travel the following morning to the plain of Arafat where they spend the entire day in earnest supplication and devotion. That evening, the pilgrims move and camp at Muzdalifa, which is a site between Mina and Arafat. Muslims stay overnight and offer various prayers there.Then the pilgrims return to Mina on the 10th, and throw seven pebbles at a stone pillar that represents the devil.This is re-enacting Abraham”s throwing stones at Satan when he tried to tempt Abraham against sacrificing his son, which is symbolic of conquering temptation. Then the pilgrims sacrifice a sheep, reenacting the story of Ibraham,who, in place of his son, sacrificed a sheep that God had provided as a substitute. The meat from the slaughtered sheep is distributed for consumption to family, friends, and poor and needy people in the community. After the sacrifice, the pilgrims return to Mecca to end the formal rites of Hajj by performing a final tawaf (circumambulation) and walking to and from the hills of As-Safa and Al-Marwa. The rites of the Hajj were designed by God and taught through Prophet Muhammad (S).

To sai dai irin yadda al’ummar ɗin suka fito don kaɗa kuri’arsu don zaɓan shugaban da zai jagorance su alal aƙalla tsawon shekaru huɗu masu zuwa lamari ne da ya kashe gwiwan maƙiya da kuma baɗa musu ƙasa a ido. Wannan wani lamari ne tabbatacce a cikin Musulunci, musamman a mazhabar Shi’a da wannan aƙida da ta dakon mafita take da wani matsayi na musamman sakamakon irin jaddadawar da Imamai (a.s) suka yi na wajibcin dakon mafitar. Wataƙila ma shi ya sa aka ruwaito Manzon Allah (s.a.w.a) yana cewa: Mafi girman ayyukan al’umma ta shi ne dakon mafita” ko kuma yadda Imam Musa al-Kazim (a.s) ya ƙara faɗaɗa lamarin da cewa: “Mafi girman ibada bayan masaniya (tauhidi da sauransu) shi ne jiran dako” ko kuma kamar yadda aka ruwaito daga Amirul Muminin (a.s) cewa: Ku yi jiran dakon mafita, sannan kada ku yanke ƙauna daga rahamar Ubangiji (mafita).Don haka ana iya cewa asalin ‘jiran dakon mafita’ wani lamari ne da ke da asali a Musulunci wanda wannan asali da tushe kuwa shi ne wajibcin fatan samun tausayawa da rahama ta Ubangiji da kuma haramcin yanke ƙauna daga rahama da tausayawa ta Ubangiji.Asalin jiran dako a wajen mu shi ne jiran dakon bayyanar mai girma Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) a ƙarshen zamani a matsayin Imami kana mai kiyaye saƙon wahayi na ƙarshe. Kun hana duniya zama lafiya, kun kasa zama da wanda ya saɓa da ku a ra'ayi, ko dai mutum ya bi ku, ko kuma ku sa a kashe shi kamar yadda ɗaya daga cikinku ya faɗa Sakkwato. Allah ba azzalumi bane, yana a madakata.Kun yi wa al'ummarku ƙarya, kun murguɗa zance kamar yadda kuka saba a tsawon tarihi. Ku sani, Allah yana a madaka. Kun yi na ku, ku saurari na Allah.Yadda kuka ci amanar al'umma, kuka yaudare su, kuka ɗaura su a kan ƙarya, to tambaya a nan, shin za ku iya yaudarar Allah ne?. Allah dai ba mutum bane da za ku iya yaudarSa, bai yadda da zalunci ba, kuma ba ya shiryar da mutane azzalumai. Ba na jin wani abu face cewa ni zan hadu da babana a 'yan sa'o'in nan. Ina so in yi maka wasici da abin da ke cikin zuciyata".Sai Imam ya ce mata: "Yi wasici gare ni da abin da kike bukata 'yar Manzon Allah", sai ya zauna daidai kanta, ya hori wadanda ke cikin dakin da su fita. Sai ita kuma ta ce masa:"Ya dan baffa, ba ka taba samu na da karya ko cin amana ba, kuma ban taba saba maka ba tun da ka zauna da ni".Sai Imam (a.s.) ya ce: "Allah Ya sauwaka, ai ke ma kin sani, kin fi biyayya, kin fi takawa, kin fi karimci kuma kin fi tsoron Allah a kan in zarge ki da saba min. Hakika rabuwa da ke da rashinki sun tsananta gare ni. Sai dai haka wani abu ne da ba makawa kansa. Wallahi kuma kin sabunta min musifar rabuwa da Manzon Allah (s.a.w.a), kuma hakika wafatin ki da rashin ki sun girmama Inna Lillah Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un! Wannan musifa me ya fi ta daga hankali da zafafa rai da bakin ciki!! Wallahi musifa ce da ba ta da makoki, kuma bakin ciki ne da ba shi da masauyi.".Sai duk suka yi ta kuka na wani lokaci, sannan sai Imam Ali (a.s.) ya kama kanta ya kai kirjinsa ya rungume ta ya ce: "Fadi wasiyyar da kike so, lallai za ki same ni mai cika ta, zan aiwatar da duk abin da ki ka hore ni da shi".Sai Fatima (a.s.) ta ce:"Allah Ya saka maka da alheri, Ya kai dan baffa!, da farko ina maka wasici da ka auri 'yar 'yar'uwata Umamah, a baya na, domin ita za ta kasance ga 'ya'yana kamar ni; domin mata dole ne ga maza.".Har ila yau ta ci gaba da ce masa:"Ina yi maka wasici da kar (ka bar) daya daga cikin wadannan da suka zalunce ni ya halarci jana'izata, kar ka bar waninsu ya yi salla a gare ni. Ka bisne ni da daddare, lokacin da idanuwa suka natsu kuma gannai suka yi barci.Sai ta cika wasiyyartaFatimatul-Zahra (a.s.) ta yi sallama da Ali (a.s.) da 'yan gidanta, aka dauke ruhinta mai tsarki zuwa gidan dawwama da ni'ima. Sai mai shela ya yi shelar cewa Fatima ta bar duniya sai Madina ta dauki zafi, zukatan muminai suka buga saboda rasa bangaren Manzon Allah da reshen Annabci. Jin wannan labari, sai matan Banu Hashim, na Muhajirai da Ansar suka taru, mutanen Madina suka yi dandazo a kofar gidan Ali; masu hudubobi suka shiga tunatar da ranar rasuwar Manzo (s.a.w.a) a gidan Fatima da kalmomi bakin ciki.Taron jama'a na jira su ga an fito da al-Zahra (a.s) zuwa makabarta; sai dai Imam Ali (a.s.) ya umarci Salman - ko kuma Abu Zarri, bisa sabanin ruwaya - da ya sallami mutane, ya ce musu Fatima ta hana mutane su shaida jana'izarta kuma kar kowa ya shiga wajen gawarta.
