At the bottom you can see the podium where your friend would have been. Seraphina Rask...gone too soon. Many of you barely even got to talk to the spunky sea artist and now all that's left is a portrait. A portrait reminding you of why you're here. What you're discussing. Her beginning and her end all accumulate into this one room.

The killer is none other than William Greggory Bartholomew ultimate Shakespearean actor aka Dennis Greggory the ultimate Baker.

A blink.

It was dark. He could barely see in front of him. Dennis’ fingers traced along the wall, feeling every cable and bump it had to offer. That was before he reached it, the curtain. The red curtain draped to the floor with ribbons upon ribbons of folds as well as holding back the murmured from his ears.

Greed consumed him as his fingers pried open the red wall between him and the world. From the smallest of gaps he made, he was blinded by the light it held and the hushed whispers followed suit. It was painful as he retreated into the darkness yet, he couldn’t flee as the curtain rose alongside a screeching beep. The crowd fell to silence.

The lights fall dim and only a spotlight remains on the stage. Oh how much he didn’t want for his feet to trail to it, oh how he wanted to flee and run as far as his spindly legs could take him yet, he was entranced. It was a near-white light with a ting of yellow, dust cascading and falling in its presence. He was left with his mouth ajar.

Never was the stage his friend before, more of an ally in his facade. Right now as he stood beneath the light, his mind was completely blank. Was he supposed to do something?

Before long, the crowd became restless. Whispers scattered and fragmented into murmurs all around until they collected back into one. Loud chants of outrage. It was unintelligible to Dennis who was in his own light. Sweat began billowing down his face. He pressured himself to think it was just the light, it was the lights fault yet, he knew exactly what his stress was from. The audience. Their shouts grew louder and louder until Dennis could no longer deny it as they began to throw things at him.

Sweets and baked goods.

They jeered and shouted at him as he covered his head — stepping back from the light. It hurt, it hurt. It wasn’t physical pain but… but their states protected through him, their words stabbing into his innermost pride. He’d open his mouth yet nothing would come out. Wordless gasps for air. He looked up, as though a glare would stop the light’s harsh dictatorship of his consciousness.

What lurked above was not as kind though as a cane ruthlessly plucked Dennis into the air.  His legs flailed, his arms grasping and scratching against his throat. Slowly, the light dimmed in his eyes as the crowd cheered at his demise yet he was dropped.

With a thud, he laid against the floor, the last gasps from his body escaping. His last movement is that of his hand, reaching out for help. The crowd roared in excitement as the sound of a hatch clicked above him. Upwards his eyes flicked to see that of a cake with the words “you tried” within it.

SPLAT.

What a pitiful last thing to see.

With the crashing waves, and the early morning air everything seems right. But that rightness can only last for so long. It was inevitable, you all knew it. Someone was going to die, swept away with the ocean, for the calm before the storm has ended. Despite the way the sunrise flickers on the water, the way the pinks and oranges play together, it's a grim way to start the day.

Just like the tides, your story is changing. Just like the tides, you're being pulled back into the water and pushed back to shore, forced to try and swim against.

Just like the tides, you're being pulled underneath.

In the sand, lies Seraphina Rask, the ultimate sea artist. The girl's eyes are wide open and there's a boat right next to her. The water laps at her hands but there's such a stillness. She's no longer breathing. The first death, and probably not the last.

Don't you wish you were still in bed? Don't you wish this was just a dream? We all wish, but it's not. There's no running now, all there is now is questions that need to be solved.

The prologue is brought to an end and our 20 contestants and host are met with a new addition to the mascots: GAME MASTER

Tail swishing, the host stands in the middle of the poorly decorated stage. The weathered ‘Welcome’ banner waves in the light breeze and maybe, at some point, there would have been confetti sprinkling down to congratulate you on the start of the show. An announcement about your placements, who was to be your winner, set up in the algorithm to get the most viewers. Your relationships, your enemies, all predetermined- or they were supposed to be. But instead of the producer, the director, the staff being there to help you with the start, it’s just K1T13- just like the start.

“Hewwo, everyone!!” She cheers. While she knows things are wrong. That it was strange that she was alone, there wasn’t anything to really...think about. She can’t think. “I guess, I’m running this show on my own this time. Nyahaha...maybe they’re going with a more hands off approach.” Scratching the back of her head, her head tilts to look at the teenagers in front of her.

“But it’ll be alright! I can do this! I know the challenges...Which is to say, that your first one will be-!!” Throwing up her hands in the air, she pauses. And pauses….

There’s a static sound in the air. High pitched as the robot in front of you’s hair sticks up and her position stiffens. It’s unclear what exactly happened- how it happened, what caused it, who could have caused it. All you know is that the cheerful beacon in this mess was paralyzed. It’s a quick moment.

It’s almost comical in a sense.

With a thud, she collapses against the podium, and you’re brought witnessed to who or….well what caused this. There’s a low laugh filled with static crackles as it gestures up with one of the sets of arms. The ball jointed limbs creak as each finger bends- wires protruding out of different spaces. It almost feels like all of the warmth is drained. What is that?

“God that was getting annoying,” it speaks, moving closer to the podium. “All the hiding, and making you all think that you’re saaaafe and that you’re just here for some funsies~” At ‘funsies’ it waves it’s hands. “I’m surprised you all didn’t start freaking out when this cat was the only ‘adult’ figure you had here. Like come on, she’s pathetic. Worthless. Idiotic. A waste of good mechanics and coding.”

Another laugh, it’s clear the voice box needed some work. “So, what now- you may be asking yourselves. What now indeed. Originally you signed up for a metaphorical blood bath, one in which you figuratively stabbed each other in the back in hopes for $1,000,000 or...other things. Isn’t that a bit shallow? You’re shallow people- all humans are- so I honestly shouldn’t be surprised.”

Leaning over the powered down K1T13, it cocks the dice like head of it’s to the side. “Where are my manners. I’m the Game Master. Think of me as your new mascot. For what? Well this is no longer a reality game of metaphorical blood and tears. This is a very real one. Welcome to your deaths, you idiotic humans. This is a killing game.”

Hi there! I was wondering if you actually have two characters with the "ultimate ???" talent or if that was a mistake in the announcement post? (i don't mind either way, I just know that most drrp's only allow a single ??? character)

We do have two character’s with the ultimate ??? talent! We felt like the way the two different muns went about it were different enough that it wouldn’t take a way from either of the characters respective talent reveals! I hope that clarifies things :D!

Hello hello everyone!!! It's been a while since I've last made an announcement here. Due to the world's climate and not wanting to stress our art mods we've decided to do two separate roster drops. Two? You may ask, so let me explain.

We have one set up to be dropped first with pixels that have been completed and the list of character names and talents. Then we have the video that has been in production as well that will be released once it's finished. The two separate drops are to open up the game server to the accepted players despite the actual game still needing a bit to start.

We understand that the wait has been long and hard and we want you guys to know so you can app your characters if needed to other places or just so you can get that anxiety out of the way. But we also don't want to add extra anxiety or stress to our wonderful art mods so this is our compromise.

The set date for the first drop will be one week from tomorrow or Thursday 7/23 at 5 PM EST.

We would also like to share that we have the spectator form done! Fill this out if you would like to be considered to watch the game happen if you don't get in. Spectator's will be allowed into the server a bit after the players and closer to the start of the game!!!

Tomorrow is the extension deadline at 11:59 PM PST ! You guys are doing so great so keep up the good work!

We’ll be allowing you to receive the extra 3 days until the deadline so please let us know! We understand that IRL can be a lot especially with it being during finals.

Stay safe! Stay healthy! And make sure you’re taking much needed breaks from electronics, eating your meals and staying hydrated!!

Good Evening! With that, the grace period is over, and the application period is over. If something came up, please dm a mod and we can consider adding you to the extension list! The only reason we cut it off the prior was to encourage people to try and get it in for the original deadline.

That being said, if you have an extension you have until May 27th at 11:59 PM PST.

Though we will be having a 3 day period afterwards if you contact us and work it out. This is because we know that IRL things can come up and that filling out apps aren't always the priority. In order to get these 3 days you need to contact me, or one of the mini mods and explain out your plans to finish. This isn't a period to start a new app, just added time if you need it because of things that come up.

TLDR: We will be having a 3 day grace period after the extension deadline if it's absolutely needed due to irl circumstances. You must contact a mod directly to get it.

Hello!!! I've come to make a few announcements. 

 The first is that we have decided on power roles and have contacted those who we've decided on! Please don't fret though if you haven't gotten contacted because you'll still be considered for the general cast! We would prefer to not discuss this too much here as it might give away our decisions, but please know that we genuinely enjoyed reading through all of your apps! 

With this, here's a reminder that the general deadline is in 8 days! If you need an extension you can get it in the hopeful server or send in a message with your username/discord username and your name! It's exciting to get to this point and we're so happy so many of you have interest in our game! 

That being said, we know that some people use rping as a way to improve your own writing. We've created a form so you can fill out whether or not you wish to receive an app review after the roster has been revealed. If you are accepted into the cast you'll get your app review after the game has ran it's course! Me, nor the mini mods are the end all be all when it comes to writing advice. Things we may or may not like might not work for others! Take what we say with a grain of salt; though we'll also outline what you did well as well! [DISCLAIMER: If you can't take criticism please be cautionary about applying for these! We want everyone's mental health to be well...healthy! These aren't meant to attack you nor critique you as a person. We are only looking at what we were given to work with in the apps]

[The newest announcement shines bright on your television]

‘Welcome welcome to all the applicants for the 10th season of Island Adventure! We’ve come so far in the application process so we’ve decided to reveal the two little staff members who will be helping out Mx.K1T13 with all her hard work keeping those one the island happy and healthy.

First up, we have AM1-S aka Amis! They’re the latest technology in medical robotics, with the knowledge of how to help with any ailment. They’re here to assist with any injuries that may occur and any illnesses (mental or physical) the contestants may have [They/He/It for pronouns]

Secondly, we have P00N-Y4, aka Poonya! She’s the head chef here to help keep the contestants eating healthy and well! On call 24/7 she’s even there when someone needs a midnight snack. With a catalog of all known dishes and an access to most ingredients, she’ll get a 5-star dish done in no time [She/They for pronouns]’

Meet KIRBY TATSUMA || Ultimate MASK MAKER 

Kirby Tatsuma comes from a small rural town in Japan alongside his mother and father whom both work in a small clinic. On their off time, Kirby would buy wooden masks and paint them with his family up until he decided to try making one on his own from scratch. From then on they had only ever painted masks personally made by Kirby. He can be very standoffish but whoever manages to worm their way into his good side earns his loyalty. Despite his more aloof nature, he's a deeply caring and reliable companion to have! However, he may try to mess with people for his own amusement.

Season 9 plays before you, as Ryoji Minami, ultimate theater actor is announced as the winner. The ultimate theater actor charmed not only his opponents and enemies but also many fans, and managed to snag victory.

 When asked what they thought about it all, he chuckles a bit, "I didn't actually have much confidence in myself. I guess I am glad to have such a wide support from my fans." When asked to do his iconic wink, he simply laugh as he does.

 "Am I winking? Or am I blinking? The world may never know."
