Protection spell jar
This is the instructions for making a simple protection spell jar:
Ingredients:
-Rosemary (protection, warding off the evil eye)
- Sage ( protection, clearing out energy)
- Black tourmaline (removing hexes, blocking evil)
-Mint (cleansing, warding)
- Lavender (to bring good vibes back into your space as well as cleansing)
- petition stating what you want to protect, what you want out of your life/ what is harming you/ what you want to banish
Instructions: During a waning moon (cleansing, releasing, etc.) smudge with protective herbs and after casting a circle, place the ingredients in the jar whilst saying a protective incantation or prayer. I will let you choose your words, but I recommend the following incantation, which I really like:
ā I seek protection, and sound my alarm, my body mind and spirit now safe from harm, my aura a shield to keep me from harm, I now banish negativity and all that is wrong.ā
When you are done, smudge some smoke into and inside the jar before closing it; finishing by sayingĀ āso mote it beā right as you are closing the jar.Ā
This spell should last for around a moon cycle; on the next waning moon I recommend redoing the spell or adding to it to keep its strength alive.Ā
Go to the jar and shake it whenever you need protection. If things donāt get better withinĀ a moon cycle I recommend a stronger banishing spell, or even hex removal. However, I personally donāt like to go full out aggressive for every little issue; generally if the issue is something that can be solved easily a spell jar will do the trick. \
Ā Also make sure to consult your spirits and guides on the matter, as danger, both physical and psychic is very serious and needs to be take care of. Blessed be )O(

What to do when you are too tired for advanced witching
š„ Fire witches:
Light a candle or a stick of incense. Focus on the flame, the burning. Envision bonfires, hear the crackling of wood. Close your eyes and observe the spectacle underneath your lids.
šØ Air witches:
Open your window for a minute or two. Let the wind caress your face, let your lungs be filled with fresh air. Extend your hand through the window and allow it to flow.
š¦ Water witches:
Take a bowl and fill it with water. Bury your hand inside it, feel the temperature shift. Then take it out. Observe the ripples. Imagine the quiet murmur of a mountain brook and the crashing thunder of ocean waves.
š Earth witches:
Water your plants. Contemplate the patterns in which the soil soaks up. Brush the leaves and whisper a quiet āthank youā for providing you with the gift of life. Dip your finger in the soil and smear it across your hand.
šµ Kitchen witches:
Brew yourself some tea. Sit comfortably and raise the cup closer to your face. Inhale the scent of the drink, rejoice in its richness. Taste the bouquet and let yourself be swayed with sensations.

BLACK SALT (also known as WITCHāS SALT) is used primarily for protection, banishing, and repelling.
Those uses arenāt exclusiveāit has also been known to feature in baneful magics, and can be used in uncrossing rituals.
WAYS TO UTILISE BLACK SALT
To protect your property from negative spirits, people with ill-intent, unwanted visitors, and negative energy: sprinkle black salt around the perimeter of your property.
To both banish any residual icky energy that a person may have left in your home, and prevent them from returning: sprinkle black salt on the front step and sweep it away. If youāre feeling more traditional (and brave!) you can throw black salt at the back of someone that is leaving your home also.
To prevent nightmares: use in a sachet and keep beneath your pillow.
To repel negativity, unwanted visitors, and rumours/gossip: sprinkle generously across windowsills and doorways.
To cleanse your home and keep nasties from entering: add black salt to a floor wash and go ham on your floor. Focus especially on high traffic areas.
To undo a curse, hex, or other form of malignant magic that has been cast upon you: use in an uncrossing oil or powder. Learn more about uncrossing [here].
To alleviate any negative thoughts and feelings that you are carrying: add a pinch of black salt to your bath, or to an oil with a similar purpose that you anoint yourself with.

Vernal Equinox 2019

At the Vernal Equinox, we begin a new cycle on the Medicine Wheel of Life, entering the East ā home of the rising sun, morning, birth, beginnings, and the spring season. Spring arrives when the earth is tilted so that the sun is directly over the equator. In the Northern Hemisphere, the first day of spring is on or about March 21. This is the day of the Vernal Equinox. Vernal means spring; Equinox means equal night. Night and day are the same length, each lasting exactly twelve hours on this day. It is at this time when light and darkness are in balance. The forces of feminine and masculine energy, yin and yang, are also in balance at this time, providing a unique opportunity to tune in and find our inner balance, harmony, and alignment. The 2019 Vernal Equinox will occur on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at 5:58 P.M. EDT.
Throughout human history, people in the northern parts of the world have celebrated the Rites of Spring, marking the end of earthās winter sleep and the start of spring when everything is reborn. Ancient cultures connected spring with the return of life to the earth. The return of spring in ancient times was of more consequence than it is to us today because winter food and fuel storages ended, inclement weather waned, and crops could be planted. Pagan customs such as lighting fires at sunrise for renewed life and protection of the crops still survive in South America as well as in Europe.
In China, the Vernal Equinox has always been celebrated as the time of new beginnings, of action, of planting seeds for future grains, and of tending gardens. Spring is a time of the earthās renewal, a rousing of nature after the cold sleep of winter. The life energy, symbolized by thunder, erupts from the depths in early spring to awaken the dormant seeds to new life. The yearly cycle begins in the spring when thunder quickens the renewal of life. Winter still has its grip on the land, but the days are lengthening and the light is growing stronger by the day. Spring is almost here⦠I hope we can be inspired by natureās reawakening to renew our own lives.
