I WATCHED THE MUSICAL AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!  ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️  i have 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 to process ( and i am rewatching scenes to get a better grasp on my opinion of little nuances i noticed ) , but i did enjoy it .  the set was gorgeous and everyone acted wonderfully .  i thoroughly adored let it go .  and yes , some scenes are played out differently or are moved around ( for narrative & transitioning purposes likely ) or are even expanded upon ( or omitted out entirely ! ) , but it was still fun to see the story taken in a 𝚗𝚎𝚠 yet still very much 𝚏𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚛 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖 .

as for h.ans in particular SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS FOR THE MUSICAL , i thought he was great .  i won’t say the film version is superior to the musical or vice versa ; i think they’re both different but with definite similarities and that’s okay .  this version of h.ans doesn’t have his horse with him so it is him physically bumping into a.nna , getting spooked by s.ven ( i guess this version of h.ans simply 𝙳𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝙽𝚘𝚝 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 reindeer lol because he’s startled by him again shortly after ) , turning and realising he bumped into a.nna so he tries to help her , but they both topple onto k.ristoff’s ice ( 𝚒 𝚊𝚖 𝚜𝚘 𝚜𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢 k.ristoff ) .  the meet cute is more explicit here ( the exchange of ❝ hi’s , ❞ a.nna denying h.ans and she are lovebirds because they just met & h.ans being like ❝ but we’re meeting now ❞ and a.nna eagerly agreeing , them saying the same thing at the same time , and he compliments a.nna all before finding out she’s a princess ) .  he seems a bit 😅 with her enthusiasm / passion ( his ❝ really ❞ and ❝ good for you ❞ responses ) , and 𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 in order to ease her own embarrassment , endearing himself to a.nna and lulling her into a false sense of security probably .  another possible tactic is the fact that you can tell from in the background a tiny bit that he might actually be eavesdropping on a.nna and e.lsa during their first disagreement at the party , which would explain why he approaches / initiates conversation right after , as if he 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚜 she needs 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 .  and the conversation leading up to love is an open door is similar ( exchanging stories and bonding over being neglected by their families / siblings ) , but here , they also talk about 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚜 themselves , again another 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 to draw her in closer .  their duet is very , very ... charged ( a.nna drags her hand down h.ans’s body with obvious implications , h.ans kisses her hand after their high five seems to have hurt it , and they smooch ... A LOT , etc ) .  i would say a.nna putting h.ans in charge is rushed too ( she immediately goes after e.lsa instead of talking to h.ans and the duke of w.eselton , so there isn’t this transition of h.ans 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 about a.nna to him 𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚕𝚢 𝚊𝚐𝚛𝚎𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 when she put him in charge ; they only keep his concern for her safety ) .  i’m not sure if this is to 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐓 of h.ans’s villainy , but i personally miss him agreeing a.nna’s ordinary and neglecting to give her his own jacket when they’re cold ( which contrasts with k.ristoff’s care towards her later on ) .

confronting the duke and helping the citizens are expanded upon more since he gets a song / reprise , again humbling himself before the masses and convincing them to trust him because a.nna trusts , and their support impassions him .  h.ans is tellingly in the same clothes as a.nna’s and e.lsa’s father right before he died at sea , so it’s even more of an emphasis of h.ans trying to replace them as the hero and king that a.rendelle needs .  i also think it’s interesting that h.ans does not vilify e.lsa for the majority of his stage time ... but he doesn’t really do anything to reassure everyone of her good character in any way which is probably deliberate ; he claims to not know e.lsa’s motivations ( aka the bare minimum of not calling her a monster like the duke but saying she has ‘ motivations ’ at all implies she had a reason for doing it instead of , y’know , it being an accident ) and that if she is a monster then she will be ‘ dealt with ’ and that a.nna and he will end summer ( again , showing he has designs for getting e.lsa out of the war and the marriage scheme ) .  ironically , he is still adamant about keeping her alive and no harm coming to her and claiming to protect her for a.nna ... 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐄.𝐋𝐒𝐀 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇 so idk I Guess he simply wanted the formality of an execution before taking the throne ( h.ans why ) .  so by the time he sings no harm will come to e.lsa again in colder by the minute , we all know that’s utter bs .  he’s basically asking her to die before trying to kill her himself .  and i have to say the big reveal imo was Also Rushed ????  they spent more time on h.ans’s acts of ‘ heroism , ’ but it’s like they wanted to quickly get 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐘 so they could get to the next song because the betrayal itself isn’t as important as how it makes a.nna feel , which is fair and a plus for developing a.nna more , but i wished there was a little more time to let the betrayal sink in but maybe that’s the point because neither of them were actually in love with each other .  apparently there is another reprise of his titular song 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚖𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 ( essentially what happens in film but in song form ) , but it’s severely shortened here 𝚜𝚘 𝚒𝚝'𝚜 𝚊 𝚋𝚒𝚝 𝚟𝚊𝚐𝚞𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 .  aaaand there is no sending h.ans back to the isles ( at least not on-stage ) .  h.ans doesn’t care that the eternal winter is gone or that a.nna and k.ristoff just smooched .  he’s just mad that a.nna’s still alive , and he is 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐏𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 until the curtain call lol .  even the duke is redeemed when he was the one who was doing all of the fearmongering .  personally , i wish there was more foreshadowing of h.ans’s true character or even show maybe a bit of conflict in the decisions that he’s making , but i get they probably didn’t care about that and 𝚊 𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚠𝚒𝚜𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚠𝚒𝚜𝚝 and so maybe they didn’t want to 𝚛𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚊𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍 .

anyway , despite that , all-in-all , i really enjoyed the musical .  it was fun and i definitely recommend it !  please watch it !  while there are obvious differences and omissions , they created more songs for characters whom i think needed that extra bit of time to convey their thoughts , feelings , & motivations , a.nna and k.ristoff spend quite some time getting to know each other so their 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚕 𝚛𝚘𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 develops 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 , and e.lsa is shown to want to take responsibility for her actions and willingly surrenders herself rather than getting captured .  it’s not a 1:1 recreation of the film version , but i think anyone who watches it will still have a fun time .  it’s still the same story .  there are differences .  but it still has 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 and 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌 .  & it’s all hygge .  😉

... i’ve had a recent uptick in followers , so i thought now would be a good a time as any to both welcome new friends ( hello ! ) and extend my gratitude to those who have stuck around and stayed ( ily all ty ) .  for those who know or are about to , my activity is 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐂 & 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋 at best , and i unfortunately do not have the time or energy to write every second of every day ... but i wholly appreciate and i am 𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚏𝚞𝚕 to anyone who shows even 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚊𝚖𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚝 in me or my portrayal of h.ans .

and the muse = / = the mun .  despite the character that i have chosen to pour my creativity into , i hope that i can be a 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄 to share ideas and collaborate .  the last thing i want to appear to be is unapproachable or intimidating in any way .  i am incredibly shy and painfully awkward , and i am , admittedly , slow .  excruciatingly slow .  iykyk .  and while i adore creating headcanons and exploring new depths to a character and stories and relationships , i can’t come up with things right away .  most days , the only time i can write is at well into the 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 after a long day’s 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚔 in a time zone where most people are already 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚜𝚕𝚎𝚎𝚙 .  i write a character who i can’t say is ... easy ... to put in any given situation or when interacting with any given character , and i don’t want to assume things right off the bat when i follow or follow back , especially because it’s more fun to 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 .  i may know of your character , but i don’t know you , the person and writer .  and i want to get to know you !  while i would like to write with your character , what is more important to me is writing with you .

i want to have 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 .  it can be about our 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜 , and it also 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚗’𝚝 have to be about them .  it can be about 𝚊𝚗𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 .  it can be about 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 ( which will still be something to me ! ) .  i just don’t want anyone to feel pressured when writing with me at all .  we can take our time and come up with things together .  verses , au’s , crossovers , etc ... and if we have no ideas ?  𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐎 !  we can figure it out as we go .  honestly , i want to have fun .  i want silliness .  i want shenanigans .  maybe h.ans can do a little 🗡️ 🗡️ ( no promises ) ... and , of course , i gotta devour my angst too !  this is 𝚗𝚘𝚝 my job , this is my 𝚑𝚘𝚋𝚋𝚢 : an exploration of a character who i feel deserved another opportunity at a hopefully deeper and more meaningful story .  & if you are interested in that 🫣 🫣 🫣 🫣 then you are the Reals Ones and 𝐈 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐘 , 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 .
