I can't believe Skyrim is turning 10 years old this year and we still don't even have a release window for TES VI
I was 18 years old when Skyrim came out... I went to the midnight release at my local GameStop for it... I waited in line for several hours... I'm living on the opposite side of the country now with an entire other lifetime of experience and change and like 2000 hours of Skyrim gameplay between that version of myself and this version of me and there's still no window on the sequel lmaoooooo

While it My not be out yet, do you know anything about it
Really all we know about it so far:
It is still in the design phase, and will not enter full development until after Starfield launches.
It will be running on Creation Engine 2, a next-gen engine built from the ground up that has been in development for years now, and will hopefully fix a lot of the issues the honestly ancient Creation Engine had. Starfield will be the first game to feature this new game engine, and it will be updated with new systems for TES VI, but honestly we won't have any idea what to even expect out of the engine until we see more of Starfield.
It has been confirmed to take place in Tamriel, so, you know. No Akavir, no Atmora, none of that.
They are using photogrammetry tech to scan objects and people for assets.
The setting, as far as the province it'll be set in goes, was decided long before development began. So, it's sort of up to us to piece things together for now, because we really haven't been given enough information to piece anything together yet. This isn't like a pre-Fallout 4 situation where we knew years ahead of time that all things were leading toward the Commonwealth; Skyrim set up a good deal of story threads to follow, and at this point... I think everybody has their own theories on what we'll see next, cross-referenced with the teaser trailer we've already seen. Because whatever land mass we see there... sorta looks like a different place to everybody else, but the leading theories are Hammerfell and High Rock (or a combination of the two, as with TES II: Daggerfall).
Other than that, I mean... we don't know much. I don't think UESP has an actual page on TES VI but the TES wiki has been keeping a pretty good page full of updates.

Day 1119: The Elder Scrolls VI still isn't out yet.
Day 188: All is silent, and The Elder Scrollsflix series or whatever isn't out either.
(I saw graffiti that said "CHIM" today and that reminded me to update this blog lmao)

It is worth noting, I think, that despite the Starfield teaser not really showing anything but a vague sort of vibe, is the final, official confirmation of Creation Engine 2. I think that might be going over a lot of people's heads because it's literally... a line of text.
But they did it. They did it! Bethesda actually, finally made a new engine! I know they confirmed they were doing this a long time ago, but actually... seeing the words "Creation Engine 2" is really something special. Hopefully having a modern engine instead of, like, still using the same shit Morrowind was built on will mean they can make more stable, more consistent, better games.
Also, hopefully it means TES VI can come faster, since they're not fighting the constraints of a horribly out of date framework. I don't know.
I'm sort of vaguely excited for Starfield because space opera is like, by far my favorite genre, but the games industry is sorely lacking in good space operas, especially RPGs. So... more space opera is a great thing!
But ugh other than the general visual language of it, that teaser provided... nothing?
Again: they should have waited a year. If they'd just... done the Fallout 4 reveal thing again, where they drop trailer after trailer after gameplay after trailer in one afternoon, that would have been sick!
Anyway. It's whatever, I'm just glad they have a new engine I guess

Did You Know: Skyrim is now as old as Morrowind was when Skyrim was originally released? Skyrim (11 November, 2011) was released 3,481 days after Morrowind’s release (01 May, 2002). Today marks the 6,962nd day since Morrowind was released, and the 3,481st day since Skyrim was released.

Wow I completely underestimated how badly they butchered the Winx Club. Was this not like... a line of magical girl toys for little kids????? 😬
As someone who saw Netflix butcher the Winx club, I agree with the staying the fuck away.
They’re in the process of butchering The Witcher right now, so yeah I am 😩
I think setting whatever it is they wanna make well apart from any established characters and stories would be a blessing, and Tamriel offers so many possibilities for doing just that, but also I know the chances of it being good / feeling like TES are low and the chances of it lasting longer than 2 seasons even if it is good are microscopic

Day 964: The Elder Scrolls VI still isn’t out yet.
Day 34: I saw some rumors of a TES Netflix series the other day. I steered clear of them! Disgusting creatures. I hope to never see another!
