Well, this wasn't the reaction he expected...He'd expected Derek to be angry at him, but probably the boy was too tired, too desperate, too happy to see his uncle again. He wrapped his arms around the young wolf and held him protectively against himself, tryin to calm him down.

  There was blood on Derek, lots of it, but Peter would be able to smell it was just animal blood. Derek looked over at Peter from his spot on the ground, tensing up. Then he recognized the voice as his uncles. "Peter?" The young male bolted up to a standing position and practically launched himself at Peter, grabbing onto him tightly.

His smirk became even wider at the boy's nervous stutter. Even more so by the coloring on his cheeks. "Isaac. Nice name."

He saw one of the older kids come up with something in his hands, obviously holding them behind his back, probably something to do with tricking the newbies. A newbie...like Isaac. Stepping casually right in front of Isaac, he tripped the 'bully', who stumbled into the wall. Peter turned his head, "Oops. My bad." He smirked, not sounding the least bit sorry at all. He turned back to Isaac, not sparing the other guy another look. "So...You're new to this school, right? First year?"

  The night of the full moon Derek had managed to stray away from the rest of the pack, fully transformed. He was angry, very angry. So when he left and found his way into the woods, he went on a rampage, destroying everything in sight. Mostly trees.

Talia had come to Peter, telling him about the night of the full moon and how they couldn't find Derek anywhere. Peter had scoffed, telling her he told her she would regret this. She didn't tell him he was right, just asked -practically begged- him to find her son. Peter agreed, because he already had an idea of where to find his nephew, on one condition. That he was allowed to see Derek again afterwards.

He found him exactly where he thought he would be. He approached him carefully, not knowing how he might react.

"Derek?" he called out. "Derek. It's me."

Peter looked up at his sister from the couch. "What do you want to talk about?"

"About you and Derek."

"What about me and my nephew?"

"I don't want you around him anymore."

"Why? Because I'm a 'bad influence'?"

"You know why."

Peter huffed, standing up. "Does he know you're doing this?"

"Of course not. If he starts asking questions, I'll find a way to answer them."

"I'm sure you will."

"Leave, Peter."

"You'll regret this."

"I doubt if I will."

That had been weeks ago. Weeks in which Peter hadn't seen his nephew. He had tried, of course, but...Talia and her stupid spies. He hadn't been able to get close to him even once. One time he caught a glimpse of him, but, that was all.

He kind of missed the little pain in his ass. Even if he would have to get killed before he would admit that out loud.

Now he thought even more of him. It was the evening of the full moon and Derek still hadn't learned to have full control yet.

Peter was the only one who could keep him at bay, but, now he wasn't allowed around him, it was out of his hands. It made him worried.

He knew his sister would regret her decision sooner or later...

Derek doesn’t know it was his mother’s fault that Peter stayed away and Peter doesn’t tell him. He just promises him he won’t stay away again.
