So we were having a discussion about politics at the lunch table with my dad. Things escalated, my 32 year old sister, who's had a past with an abusive boyfriend who beat her up almost always, said something stupid to him and my dad insulted her, indirectly called her a whore, and then actually threw the ice bucket at her. Drama ensued, I had a panic attack because of all the flashbacks to my childhood when he brutally beat me almost weekly if not daily. And now I'm traumatized. Welcome to my life
