You Weren't There: Oc Angst lore drabble

PT3 of present lore

TW: Angst, grief, loss, mentions of death, self-hatred, overthinking

Summary: The Great Voices(Locks,Wini,Celine), The Grand Voices(Freyda,Vidra, Sombra) and Support Voice(Silvia) come together to discuss matters regarding Affy.

"I don't understand," said Freyda, solemnly shaking her horned head, "How could he just...die?"

"It wasn't no ordinary thing that killed him," Wini pointed at the records, "See? Whatever that was, it was planned. This wasn't an ordinary occurrence. Something wanted him dead."

"But who would want Affy dead?" Sombra perked up.

"Clearly an enemy force," replied Vidra, "Should I send Yolsh out? Scan the areas?"

"No," answered Freyda, "Because what if that thing gets them too? What then?"

"Should I send message for the biologists to look into the plantation? Those are clearly vines growing from his rotting body. And its not a natural growth either. Looks intentional," Celine notified.

Meanwhile Silvia, The Support Voice, held her face in her claws, shaking her head and mumbling questions that none knew the answer to. She was highly devastated and clearly in grief. The months she had spent decades ago looking into the case with Affy when he was a Whisperer and his leading voice, to discover that he was infact abusing him, and almost getting killed trying to protect him and promising to stay only for the day she looked away for him to die.

"This has got to be some sort of assassination," she mumbled in a lisped voice, "He wouldn't just die. No. Not like that."

"We're trying to look into it the best we can, Silvia," Locks reassured, gently patting her shoulder, "Until then, there's not much we can do."

"I should've been there," she sniffled, "I would've saved him. Stop this all from happening i-in the first place."

"The damage looks like it originated from the inside," said Wini, after gaining a closer inspection, "Look, it starts from around just inside the stomach, see?" She pointed a golden claw at the root and followed it up the vines.

"So there was nothing I could've done?" She questioned, obsidian eyes glazed with tears.

"Unless you can perform stomach surgery in under a minute without damaging the lining or any major parts then no I'm afraid not," Wini replied softly, clearly upset herself.

"One of my partner's friends has apparently seen the death unfold infront of their eyes," Celine mentioned, "I could ask her to bring them around so we can get more detail and figure out what exactly happened."

"Sounds like a plan," Freyda agreed, "I'll sort his Whisperer out. Explain what's happened."

"Do you think Linzer will be as good as Affy was?" Sombra questioned.

"I'm sure, it's politics after all," Freyds replied, getting up to leave, "You're all dismissed," she gave Silvia a reassuring shoulder pat as she went for the door.

Asterisk's average Monday timeline bc yes

Tw: Cults,blood,Cursing, murder, Cannibalism

4:13 am: I don't even know why I'm awake. But I dont like it. Go fuck off until I feel like talking.

6:30: You're still here? Well incase you have no fuckin idea who I am, I'm Asterisk. I'm a mixture of every oc they have killed, I have no stable form, constantly shifting, basically Antisepticeye 2.0 with a dab of Darkiplier.

6:45: Make myself something to eat (Just some person limbs from the fridge. They taste good ngl.). I don't need to get dressed, I'm constantly wearing clothes.

7:15: Off to visit The Elder's Cult. Fairly decent followers. I wish I could have that kinda power.

7:45: I've come back from The Cult. They gave me alot of cool shit so that's nice.

8:30: Woke up from long nap. Time to go bother Puppy

8:45: Puppy let me borrow one of his taxidermy foxes. Little do they know I'm keeping it ><

9:50: Another long nap. Off to terrorise and traumatise some fuckers. See yall in a few hours

12:45: Back from traumatising and I.am.starving. Don't talk to me. I get hangry.

13:15: Had food(more human limb+few organs bc they low-key banging ngl) and now for 4th nap of the day. Yes I sleep alot. So what.

15:46: Woke up. Had coffee+food. Off to terrorise again. See yall in a few hours.

17:15: Back and I am tired. Off to nap.

19:45: Still tired. Gonna find food.

20:12: Found food. I eat. Nomnomnomnomnom.

20:50: Why do I get so hungry and then I eat until I'm not hungry but my dumbass brain thinks not-hungry-anymore-stop-pls gurgles are still bitch-im-still-starving-FEED-THEEgurgles so I eat until Im sick?

Summary: Meanwhile in another scared place, the many that warned them meet together to discuss matters.

It never took to too long for them all to show up. Always exactly 13 minutes. Never later, Never earlier. Always on point.

"Asterisk, I swear if this is another one of your shenanigans I'm not hel-WHy the fuck are they here?" The Puppeter hissed. They were used to Asterisk getting into trouble. They could fourth-wall break so it was much easier to call others out and get away with it.

"Jeez, Puppy calm your tits down, just a meet up," Asterisk replied with a playful smack.

"What have I specifically said about calling me 'Puppy'?"

"Oh shut up, I know you love it-"

"Asterisk I sŴĘÄŘ ŢØ ĢỌÐ "

"You two. Stop bickering like children. You know what you are. Act like it" The Elder's voices spoke with a resonate yet sombre tone.

"Ahh, good you lot turned up, Puppy's getting his tits in a twist." Asterisk snorted.

"Asterisk for the LOVE OF GOD SHUT UP-"

"SILENCE," not a screech or a piercing whine, but a command. And all obeyed. They knew better than to upset The Elders.

"Apologies, Elders, but can you explain why we're here? Is to help with the demonic cult and blood rituals you got?"

"No, no, everything's fine with that. They still believe us luckily. Deofa's already been notified of...them, but everything else is smooth."

"Ya know if ya ever need a cover-up-"

"Yes, Asterisk, we know of your ability already." They sighed.

"So." The Puppeter glanced with their multi-coloured eyes, swirling with madness and intelligence beyond human comprehension, "Affy's dead."

"Yes, we all warned him as much as we could. But boys have a tendency to hear rather than listen." The Elders remarked with a collective nod.

"The only one to actually pick our warnings up was that Finn guy," Asterisk reminded, to which The Puppeter nodded briefly.

"Yes, but who made him collapse? And what?"

"Shouldn't you know this?" Asked Asterisk, "Like, as the know-it-all guys?"

"Asterisk has a point, but if-" The Puppeter began.

"You agree with me?" Asterisk snapped their head to The Puppeter.

"Well, yes but-"

"Oh! I knew you'd agree with me one day you silly little shitface," Asterisk giggled as they ruffled their friend's fur.

"Ok OK, back up, back up. Anyways as I was saying, I thought we should return a little something to Finn. As a warning to everybody in that group." The Puppeter explained.

"To teach them that that is what happens when you don't listen to friends?" The Elders questioned.

"Yes. But you can listen to me right?"

"Of course, Puppeter! We'll always listen. We are friends, after all." The Elders responded with reassuring smiles, but The Puppeter knew there was sinister behind those teeth.

One Day- OC Angst Drabble

OCs: Ruffles, Karija, Celia, Finnian

TW: Implied death, grief, graphic depictions of gore,guts and blood, overthinking, anxiety

Summary: It was only yesterday since, that happened. No one seems to forget. All but one, who doesn't even know what happened.

One day since he died.

One day since he litarally split open

One day since he was left there, ripped open from the inside, guts and blood spilling.

Wake up. He's not coming back. It's your fault for leaving him there. You could've saved him. But no. You left him there to die. To be split open.

It's your fault, Karija. Wake up.

He's gone and it's all your fault.

"Okay Okay, he's not dead, I told you he weren't dead, Ruffles. I told you, just fainted."

Celia's voice. That's Celia. She's not gone. Neither is Ruffles. But Finnian. What happened to him? He passed out before I'd even opened my mouth. Is he OK?

"Ruffles, keep an eye on him," Celia said. "I'm off to check on Finn. Stay here. Anything he tells you, you tell me," she walked over to the stairs before swiftly ascending them.

Finnian. What happened to him? Clearly alive. He's not dead. Stop telling me he's dead

Karija jolted himself awake, startling Ruffles for a second before realising what happened.

"You awake?" He asked, a mixture of relief, concern and worry gleaming in his eyes, "You ok? No faint?"

"Yeah-yeah I'm fine I'm fine, Ruffles, I'm fine, it's just...uhhh...that..." he trailed off, remembering why he was here. Why it felt so empty. The image stuck to his head like glue.

"Yes, I know what happen. Very sorry for that. We're all upset. Apart from Finn-"

"Finnian? Why Finn? Is he okay? What happened to him?" Now he was remembering. Finn had passed out before Karija had even told the news. Unless he can hear while unconcious he doesn't know what happened.

He doesn't know what happened.

He won't know why everyone's so down. He won't know what's happening. He won't know about Affy, unless Celia tells him.

"Finnian's alright. No worry. Just come down with something."

Relief.

Stop telling me he's dead.

"How long will it take for him to get better?" Stop telling me he's dead

"Don't know what it is yet. Potential fever. Not a hundred percent sure yet. We'll find out soon hopefully," Ruffles smiled. He was really trying to keep Karija from remembering what had happened. To stop the spiral. The panic.

"D'ya think it's linked up to the darts or something else?" Karija asked.

"I personally think it was the encounter with Astrisx or The Puppeter. Those definitely left a mark on him. He's just an ordinary guy. Not some superhuman with magic."

Karija sighed. Ever since that Elder Magic spike, the encounters with Astrisx, The Puppeter, The Elders, everything had gone downhill. It started with Astrisx, ended with yesterday.

"Will Finn ever know what happened?" he questioned.

"I don't know, Kari. Only if Celia tells him. We can't. He believes her more than us." Ruffles replied with a subtle shake of his head.

"One day, my friend one day, that friend you so proudly flaunt will fall within your sight. And it'll all be your fault, mark me." Asterisk had said.

"One day, all of you, listen. One day, one of you will die a brutal, gruesome death while another one suffers with the guilt of the cause of it." The Puppeter had warned, "Best stay away from the forests. You seem squeamish."

"Your Day of Doom will certainly be arriving shortly. Your karma from disturbing the birth of a Newling and absorbing it's magic. You hold that power, Karija. However long it takes you to figure it out will decide his fate." The Elders had said.

How could he not figure it out. They were warning them all from the very start.

Asterisk was right. All of three of them were warning both of them.
