Cultural differences between Filipinos
Here comes an interesting topic about our wonderful differences of culture in the world. I am here to discus the differences between my latin culture and the Philippines. we aren't all so far apart ill say a major or the culture actually is quite unique but at the same time not so far apart from one another. as living in such a diversity country here in Canada I can say that i've made quite frankly some awesome philipino friends who have been friends outing and a very helping hand. The one of the major culture ethics we share are that Tagalog of their major languages they speak actually comesd down to some latin (spanish) words in the language which i didnt know ones Spanish was the official language of the Philippines from the beginning of Spanishrule in the late 16th century, through the conclusion of the Spanish–American War in 1898 and remained co-official, along with English, until 1987. Secondly when it comesto family it plays a big rule in our culture. Especially when it comes down to our elders we have a major respect for them and will take care and he a helping hand when we can. We are big families who love to share, eat, and party together, even when it comes to living together. Thirdly religion we do seem to have 80-90% of Catholic within both latin and philipino culture. But when it comes to food yes we are quite a little bit different but not so much i persianlly believe we just use different methods and spices to even the name. There are some foods i cant say i have seen in latin culture or even in the philiphine culture but that comes down to traditional food. But now that we are so open to the internet we tend to borrow and changes recipes that have come from all over the wold. In my own opinion i feel that our culture share multiple things but they arent so far apart which in my case i am quite happy because it makes us in away feel connected and be able to communicate within one another even when we are far from our homes our culture makes us come together to feel a little home even you may be far from one country to another. I look forward to meeting more of our fellow friends and bringing our culture together to making fond memories. Especially to my teacher out there.

Whistler BC
I myself have ben part of these adventures and have brought friends to enjoy the nature and beauty of Whistler...
the duration of a decent stay In whistler is 5-8 days due to the fact that there is a mount of things to try but it just depends of what season you are coming.
I wast there for my birthday on June 2020 I spend a week in whistler.
As an individual to explore your area of surroundings, to explore Whistler BC its approximately two hours away from our point of origin YVR Airport depending on traffic and road conditions. The trip will roughly cost you 59$ one way and same price to come back. The main attraction I would highly recommend as an adventure’s person. Whistler Blackcomb if you’re into skiing or snowboarding like I am I would consider when it’s the right climate to go up in the mountains and a enjoy. Secondly the peak 2 peak Gondola in Whistler it located right in the heart of whistler same location for the skiing and snowboarding. Thirdly lost lake for more of a relaxation and to enjoy the beauty of nature at its fullest I would recommend going for a nice walk or hike around lost lake it was beautiful views. You could even rent a bike and go around the entire lake isn’t big or anything it’s a decent 30-45 min walk / hikes around. Lastly but not least if you are up for the challenge, I would consider trying the Whistler mountain bike park. To experience a beautiful adventure, lie no other. But beware it is a little danger so make sure you dress for the occasion. The overall conclusion I believe the target market that will be more up for these adventures could range from young adults to our mature adults. There are a couple activities for our older generations that is more cautious like lost lake and other views. the site seeing in whistler and amazing for all ages. there are multiple adventures to try in whistler but these are top I would recommend.

The Pod Sydney, Sydney, Australia
The Pod Sydney, it caught my attention because its unique its on the 6 floor/ 396 Pitt street, Haymarket 2000. I believe it sparks interest for easy accommodations especially for backpackers. the pod comes in All room types include air-conditioner, Wi-Fi, personal bedside light, free linen, and free towels. All beds are equipped with comfortable memory foam mattresses except sofa beds. Bathrooms and showers are shared. there are multiple room types from sharing to having your own privacy to big family rooms. There are about nine different facilities such as tv lounge, dining room, kitchen, and baggage storage. The pod provides guest with shuttle service, tour and activities bookings and personal lockers with many more services. The check in time begins from 2pm to 11pm every day, check out is at 11am but you are welcomed to check out before 11pm. I find the pod original considering you don’t see many like these they are unique and targets all consumers. Its walking distance to central train station, town hall train station, and museum train station. I personally would have to say that if I were to every travel to Sydney, I would definitely stay a night or two and have a unique experience staying in a pod. The rating can be from 59$ for 3 night and for room upgrade to either private or family can range from 300$ up to 500$ roughly. It does get pricy but it’s worth the experience considering that we don’t ever hear of pods and its something new that has taken the hospitality community to another leave of having a unique experience.

El Boqueron (Big Mouth) - El Salvador
The historical site of El Salvador’s Volcano… which is located West of the city of San Salvador. The volcano comes with a few peaks such as the Picacho which is above sea level and wild boar. The Boquerón has a diameter of approximately 1,500 m and is situated at 1,800 m altitude, between 700 and 1,000 years ago the lavas of the Boquerón edifice contain more alkali element and iron oxide than the lavas of the san Salvador edifice, allowing for a clear chemical distinction. Coming to the present-day crater was formed in a violent explosion. Giving it the name El Boquerón which means “big mouth “in Spanish. This how it’s been created throughout the years into multiple restaurants along the beautiful areas in the volcano area known as El Boquerón or to the locals it’s the volcán de Quezaltepeque. Top Restaurants located in the volcano are Las Brumas (the Umbrellas), Cafe y Restaurante, Restaurante “Don Pepe” top place to eat a delicious soup of Gallina India “Indiana hen soup”, “Café del Volcán”. The visitor can obtain connection to the heart of the lush nature that El Salvador offer to national and international tourists providing an adventure tourism and ecotourism that protects the environment while helping the community to develop in a sustainable manner. I personally love this environment due to the fact that when I first went to my come country I notice out of all the places around the volcano is such a beautiful community and area to explore being able to see so much history in one place. Fun fact did you know that there use to be a lake there before the eruption in1917… one of its popular attractions is for the planted shade coffee which there is a lovely restaurant/ café up in Boquerón and they serve the coffee grown in the area and it’s so delicious. I visited the umbrellas restaurant and the view from the top Is unbelievable you are able to see the entire city of El Salvador including the field of goodies being grown in the area and out into other restaurants and their creative architecture designs.

BIRDMAN
“The island's most famous prisoner was probably Robert Stroud, the so-called "Birdman of Alcatraz" who spent 54 years of his life behind bars.” In 1909, Stroud was convicted of manslaughter; while serving his prison sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary. 1916, he murdered a Leavenworth guard, was convicted of first-degree murder, and received a death sentence. His mother pleaded for his life, and in 1920, President Woodrow Wilson commuted the death sentence to life imprisonment. prison officials discovered that equipment Stroud had requested for his "scientific" studies had actually been used to construct a still for "home-brew." Stroud was transferred to Alcatraz in 1942, where he spent the next 17 years (6 years in segregation in "D Block" and 11 years in the prison hospital).

PRISON CLOSURE
On March 21, 1963, Alcatraz closed after 29 years of operation. It did not close because of the disappearance of Morris and the Anglins. The decision to close the prison was made long before the three disappeared, but because the institution was too expensive to continue operating. An estimated $3-5 million was needed just for restoration and maintenance work to keep the prison open. That figure did not include daily operating costs - Alcatraz was nearly three times more expensive to operate than any other Federal prison (in 1959 the daily per capita cost at Alcatraz was $10.10 compared with $3.00 at USP Atlanta).

ALCATRAZ

The name Alcatraz is derived from the Spanish "Alcatraces." In 1775, the Spanish explorer Juan Manuel de Ayala was the first to sail into what is now known as San Francisco Bay. Alcatraz is usually defined as meaning "pelican" or "strange bird." By the late 1850s, the first military prisoners were being housed on the island. well-known criminals, such as Al Capone, George "Machine-Gun" Kelly, Alvin Karpis (the first "Public Enemy #1"), and Arthur "Doc" Barker did time on Alcatraz, The average population was only about 260-275 (the prison never once reached its capacity of 336 - at any given time, Alcatraz held less than 1 percent of the total federal prison population). There was an overall attempt of 14 escapes from Alcatraz.
