For those who don't know, Rafah Crossing is closed. Meaning Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are technically not allowed to go into Egypt through Rafah Crossing (with exceptions, like holding a foreign passport) so in order to evacuate, Palestinians need to bribe Egyptian border security officials. The standard price used to be about $5000 - 7000 per person but some Palestinians have been told to pay $10,000 per person just to cross the border, forget other expenses like food and boarding.

For a group of people who are enduring genocide and the complete destruction of their homes that money is impossible to raise without the help of fundraising. That and the collapse of the UNRWA is the reason you're seeing so many Gofundmes nowadays. The entire aid system is gone with the exception of local aid organisations that have limited reach.

So if you see a credible fundraiser, please at the very least share it so it can reach more people. This list by @el-shab-hussein is a good place to start.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.

it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

i've been sick for so long, my cough is terrible and i suspect I have pneumonia with the way everytime i breathe in there's terrible wheezing in my chest. i cant afford to get checked, i know im worse than i can feel

all i care about now are my brothers, 10 and 13 years old. they're still shaken up from losing both our parents and recently our other brother who passed away last month

i have tried to talk to them into giving them up in a shelter to live more comfortably but they are adamant to stay with me by my side, i do not want to lose them either

i still have my cleaning job but i was told that if my cough isn't gone by next week, they'd be forced to let me go as there are already complains from store customers about me and they fear i might be spreading covid. i do not blame them and if i can only afford not to earn money for food and shelter in a day, i would just go myself

every penny we get here are for my brother's food, shelter and medicines specifically my brother ross' asthma medications he needs everyday

we are grateful to everyone who's tried to help us in any way. it is tough to survive out in the streets, my brothers do not deserve this and im disappointed in myself for not providing enough for them. theyre just kids

i do not know what else to do, im sorry to keep asking on here. im just trying my best for my brothers, i want them to have a better life

if you can spare my brothers for their needs, we'll appreciate and be forever grateful. sharing helps us, especially the two of them, to survive
