Disney just announced that they’re making Wreck-It Ralph 2, to be released in 2018, and here’s the first image to prove it!
Wreck-It Ralph is going global, or mobile, or he’s breaking the internet or something, according to the films co-writer Phil Johnston :
“The world of the internet is the perfect place to send Ralph and Vanellope. The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless.”

Went digging through some old sketches I never posted, and found these little beauties! Time for some Wreck-It Ralph backstory headcanons! (Not necessarily related to my WIR BETA AU, but it can be tied in to an extent, considering I’m using my BETA!Ralph design for kid Ralphie here. This is mostly general Ralph headcanon though.)
I’ve always imagined Ralph being raised by a single parent. Some old pieces of concept art from the film show him living with (well, more like moving away from) a guy on a recliner who could be his dad or uncle, but I think he’d more likely be raised by his mom (“I LOVE MY MAMA!”). Here’s him with Mama Wreck-It, who Ralph inherited most of his looks from— especially his face and size. Except for his hands— he definitely inherited his huge mitts from absentee papa Wreck-It.
Although my headcanon is that Mr. Wreck-It just up and left the small family, I can never imagine her bad-mouthing the man in front of Ralphie. It could be because he fondly reminds her too much of his father, and she tries not to take any resentment she might feel towards the man against the bubbly “little” boy, or maybe she just didn’t want him growing up resenting his father for leaving them.
Maybe look forward to more Wreck-It Family sappiness in the future. If anybody has any headcanons of their own, feel free to share!

At first it didn’t seem like the kind of movie I’d like so I ignored it for a very long time until I stumbled upon it on the TV one day and I decided to watch it and boy did I love it! It was insta-charming! I really love all the characters
