I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
Why is it that everyone always forgets that humans are apart of this planet? We aren't some strange entity that infected it. People always refer to us as viruses that destroy the planet. Personally I think we were meant to be the earth's immune system. Figuring out problems and fixing the parts her that need fixing. We plant plants, we help sick animals, when we forage it keeps forests healthy. I think, maybe the Earth has an autoimmune disease caused by colonialism and the scarcity mindset. However, before this we lived with nature and existed within the ecosystem. We are part of this place, we came from this place.
