2 ⧽. if you could sit down and finish any completely new fic without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), what would you write? tell us about it if you want!

This is actually really tough because I've started all of my best ideas and there's not a lot else taking up space in my head right now. If completely new includes outlines that I never started properly writing, I'd really like to have my Pycal/Kyosuke Mamo time travel romance materialize out of thin air. Or a fic in which Bronco is a bodyguard to some other famous character and it leads to him coming into contact with Phoenix's side of the cast.

4 ⧽. is there an au or trope that you haven't written before, but would want to try?

I like both fantasy and arranged marriage but have never written either, so it would be fun to find a way to make it work. I'm not so sure manosouta is a good fit for this, but I could see Frost marrying young Bronco off to a wealthy family for their money. I can't see his spouse being Simeon in that case since it'd be difficult to make it work without entirely rewriting their canon backstory, so I'll leave it on the stove for now.

18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?

The biggest compliment I can get is someone saying the characters are acting and talking exactly like themselves even if they're in situations that'd never happen in canon, so if my fics make someone feel that, it's all I ask for.

Nobody's picked either of those yet! 1 ⧽. if you could sit down and finish any one of your wips without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), which fic would you choose? tell us about it if you want! It would have been Echoes of the Past, but that's almost complete! So it's "Your kiss and I will surrender", the vampire AU that I've been meaning to finish since January, but keep struggling with the story's scope. I have so many ideas for it, but it feels like it's running away from me and becoming more than a simple manosouta story. I really want to keep the spotlight on them, though!

13 ⧽. do you have any writing projects/goals/plans you're working on/want to work on? At the moment, it's finishing up Echoes and then the aforementioned vampire AU! But I really want to finish "When will I miss you?", the ghost au too! I'll probably be splitting my attention between those two once Echoes is finished. Thank you again for the ask!

Oh wow, that’s a tough one! So many of the ideas I have I’ve already started. I’d like to write a  story about  Bronco being stuck in a time loop and trying to find a way to break through it and save himself. He’d go through a whole range of emotions as he realises what lead to his demise

4 ⧽. is there an au or trope that you haven't written before, but would want to try?

I think a role swap au could be interesting, where Bronco’s the one who sees what happened the night the president was murdered and steps in to save Kanis. It could lead to him going on the run, but deciding to ask Simeon to go with him, who hasn’t yet recalled what happened in the car. Simeon’s memories could come back while they’re in hiding together. 5 ⧽. is there a certain kind of fic that feels the most satisfying to finish? any reason why? I think long fics because of the heart and soul that goes into them! Echoes of the Past is almost finished, and I feel so happy and excited for everyone to read the ending. Aside from that, any of the ones focusing on manosouta healing together are very satisfying because there’s so much to tackle between them Thank you again!

Thank you so much for the asks!! I really appreciate it! 3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing? I’m so self-critical that this is a hard one to answer, but I like that I’ve been able to inspire warmth, hope and healing even when things feel lost. There’s so much tragedy in the world, and being able to provide a temporary respite through fiction means a lot.

6 ⧽. if you were to write a part two/sequel to a fic, what fic would you want to write it for? “The last time” I want to show how the kindness Horace showed that night impacted Simon, perhaps with a last minute change to his plans…

8 ⧽. what part of Echoes of the Past is your favorite?

It’s probably still chapter 4 with the big argument and them finally getting things out into the open! It’s such a turning point for them, and is the scene I built the entire fic around. It’s the part I’m most proud of.

10 ⧽. what genre is generally the easiest or most enjoyable for you to write? which is the hardest?

Hurt/Comfort is by far the easiest for me to write! I just want good things for everyone. I think the hardest is when I’ve wrote things focusing on grief, that is always an incredibly emotional experience. I’ve got a lot of ideas for post-canon fics but they’re so hard to write. 

18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers? I want it to feel comforting and hopeful! Like a cosy blanket on a cold winter’s day, a chance of happiness even when things are bleak.

I’d love to write a fic about Eddie and Judy one day, I love them to pieces but I’ve only ever written stories focused on manosouta so far. The worst characters are the ones were you only get like three pieces of lore about them but the lore is so fascinating and hits your brain at just the right angle to have you behaving like a feral dog in front of your conspiracy theory cork board

The last name thing is what I most struggle with when it comes to using the OTL names. I don't want it to seem odd or out of characters to readers for Simeon to be calling Bronco "Knight" all the time when he never does it in game! But it's such an important thing to me, especially when it gets to the moments where he relents and uses his first name I've been wondering about editing my ghost au to the OTL names, but I just love the whole distinction between Knightley and Horace too much. Maybe one day I'll fully switch over... my siren au and Oneiroi both use the new names after all! Also the gun thing was so good... A huge loss to the Bronco community

Imo I still greatly prefer the official translation over the fan translation. The fan translation does have a lot of fun quirks but I think it can feel a bit… overly wordy. I actually prefer that the official translation makes the manosouta moments a bit more subdued.

That said there’s two things I think fan translation is far superior over:

1. Bronco humanizing his gun

2. Simeon never calling Bronco his first name until he’s about to leave.
