Dude, it’s athletes that amaze me. The skill and smarts and coordination it takes, I can’t imagine. The only athletic thing I can do is do backflips onstage during my shows. I’ll probably end up with a bad back because of it, someone told me my form is all wrong. All well. I love watching hockey, it gets really intense and the fight over the puck is always fun to watch. It also makes me want to go ice skating, which I haven’t really done since I was a kid. There was no skating on frozen lakes growing up in Vegas! There are so many interesting people here in LA, actors and athletes and musicians. I love it. You never know who you’re going to run into. I try to be chill but I’m a huge fan of some people I get to meet. I’ll never get used to being “famous.” I’m still just me, you know? Sarah won’t let my head get too big, no matter what happens. Are you married? Single? Dating a fabulous French model? People in LA are so f**king attractive, if you know what I mean. The men and the women. It’s like a singles paradise.

There’s definitely a lot that goes into playing any sport, that a lot of people don’t realize before they jump the gun on calling us, “goons,” “violent,” or “dumb,” or things along those lines because we play a very physical sport. Damn, backflips on solid ground? That’s kind of impressive. To me, at least. I think the only time I can do backflips is on a trampoline or on a diving board jumping into a pool. Otherwise, I’m not flippin’. I’m glad to hear you love the sport, man! It’s definitely a great one to be a part of, I’m so lucky and extremely grateful for all of my opportunities leading me up to playing in the NHL where I am now. And it is very entertaining to watch. I’ve known a lot of people that started getting into watching hockey just because of how entertaining, and intense it is. And I don’t really think it’s a hard sport to learn, and pick up on the rules. Dude, you should totally pick up ice skating again! I think it’s pretty relaxing, just skating around leisurely, and it’s a lot of fun when you get to feeling good on the skates and start zoomin’ around. I’m surprised Vegas didn’t start a hockey team earlier. They’re all about a good party and entertainment. LA is definitely much different than where I live in Ohio. I’ve got a few friends that play for the Kings, so I try to make it out there as much as I can. I don’t know if I could ever get used to living out there though, with how fast-paced it is. That’s awesome that you never let the fame get to your head, man. It’s sad to see how many people let it get to them, and start acting completely different. I don’t think I’ll ever think of myself as ‘famous.’ I’m just a guy who plays hockey professionally - living my dream. If there ever comes a day where I’m just walking around and people start shouting my name or something, I don’t know what the hell I’m gonna do. Nah, not marries or anything, very much single - just looking for a good time. You’re damn right about that one though, man. In Ohio - there’s attractive people, but in LA there’s just like models everywhere and it’s so wild. Eyecandy everywhere. Like, the women are even so attractive to the point where I don’t even bother trying to talk to some of ‘em, because I know I’m not their type.

I never thought i’d see the day. I honestly don’t….but i kinda find it more amusing if i just keep them in random places they shouldn’t be, or just casual decor, so we’ll see how that turns out.

Right, maybe they just think you live some kind of crazy bachelor life to where you’d actually need that much lube. That’s like a damn good compliment. You could start trying to give it out as gifts - like for birthdays and stuff. Someone could either be excited about it, or you could play it off as a gag gift. Oh shit, I never thought of that either. That should definitely be a thing, that’s just about the easiest way to get their name out to the world. Wearing a shirt like that, you’re pretty much a walking advertisement. Now I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t send some shirts, and i’m not even the one who got the package. That’ll be what keeps me up til 3 in the morning tonight, googling whether or not lube companies have shirts. My search history will be very interesting. Situations like this are when the best nicknames are made. I think Lube King is pretty funny, but I won’t go telling the world about it.

Oooh a little guessing game with a prize, I can get down with that. Let’s see.. I know the last time I got super trashed I think I had like, maybe 10 drinks and a handful of shots. I know I’m a bigger guy than you are, so my body weight probably as an effect on it, but I’m gonna go with at least 10 drinks. Unless it was one of those bottomless margarita nights and you don’t even know the number yourself. I swear, those bottomless promotions are dangerous.

Let’s all play a game called, ‘guess how many drinks this cute, little Aussie had that caused her to have this horrible hangover’. The first person to guess right, gets come take care of me and maybe cookies.

It really has just been God awful hot outside. I was in LA for about a week not too long ago, and came back to Ohio to watch some fireworks with some friends - and I thought it was hot in LA when I was there... oh buddy. Yesterday it was fucking ridiculous how hot is was. I felt like my face was melting off. We ended up making an executive dcision and watched the fireworks from the balcony of one of my friends’ apartment so that we could be in the AC a little bit, but still be outside a little bit too. I don’t have to worry about the heat doing anything to my hair thankfully, but I did shave a few days before, because I knew my beard wasn’t going to do me any good in this heat either.

It’s so crazy to be back in LA County again – I’d forgotten how hot it is. I guess we’re all having a heatwave, though. At least my hair can’t get any more frizzy.

I bet that would feel amazing, getting recognition like that just being out on the streets walking around. I don’t get anything remotely like that, unless I’m in Columbus then someone might come up to me and say “Are you Boone Jenner?” or “You look like Boone Jenner” which is all the same to me. I’d be pretty impressed if someone saw me walking around and recognized me enough to just started yelling my name. I would probably be pretty confused though, I’m no famous actress like you are.

When you’re out and about in NYC and you have fans calling out to you from all over the place. I am just trying to enjoy my time here until evening comes, but dang it’s so nice to have fans though.

Sarah and I settled in LA County about a year ago. We bought this cute little house and turned the garage into a studio. We love it so far. We’ll probably stay at home for the 4th. I drop in on my parents when I do shows in Vegas but other than that, Sarah and I like our independence. And what is the Fourth if not a day to celebrate independence? I’ve got a friend who throws down sick beats like it’s nothing, he can inspire me to write a melody and lyrics in just a few hours. There’s a track on my latest album that was written, mixed and produced in less than twenty-four hours. I was high as f*** when I came up with the concept of interdimensional travel and multiverses and Carl Sagan and sh** like that. My buddy had his laptop out and wrote down what I was saying and came back to me a week later, like, “I’ve got lyrics to a new song.” Sh** was crazy. I’m lucky my friends are so talented, they really push me creatively. You play hockey, right? Sucks that the Las Vegas Golden Knights lost the Stanley Cup this year. I sang before the last game, it was really an honor.

That sounds so nice! For now, I’m just in an apartment in Columbus but since I’ve been here for about 5 years now, I think it’s time for me to find a house for myself. That’s seriously awesome that you renovated the garage into a studio! My dream would be to just buy a plot of land and have my house built, but I’ve still got a while until that dream comes true. Probably when I retire. But Columbus has a lot of nice houses in the area, and I actually love house shopping - so I’m excited for that. Seriously, you guys -- musicians as a whole -- amaze me. How you can write a song and then make a beat by this vision that you have in your head. Seriously. Amazing. One of the guys on our team plays the guitar and sings a bit, he tries to teach us how to play here and there and I’m just God awful. But it’s fun to listen to him play once in a while. Holy Shit dude, you’re dedicated! Now you’ve got me curious about this song, so I’m about to download your album and see what this song is all about. I’ve been slacking hard on new music lately. It’s always great to surround yourself with amazing people. I’m thankful to have all the guys on our team as teammates and friends, they’re all such a great group of guys. And we all push each other to be better. Yep, I play for the Columbus Blue Jackets. We were in the playoffs but got knocked out during the first round. That’s right, I remember watching that game and seeing you perform beforehand. I think I was actually at that game, If I can remember it right. But yeah man, it would have been fucking insane of Vegas won the cup. They broke so many records with beating everyone and going all the way to the Final in their first year of being a team. But it’s still pretty crazy that they made it as far as they did. Proud to say there’s some former Blue Jackets on the team as well. Vegas really knows how to put on a good show though, I can only imagine how amazing it felt for you, being on the ice and performing before the game.

I’m still finding it hard to believe that i still don’t know anyone who’s ever gotten this much supply of lube… just cause i mentioned it a few times in an interview - I was clearly the chosen one. Not that i’d be complaining over the likes of some cool as heck memorabilia, but sometimes you honestly never know whats gonna show up at your doorstep. Oh no you’re completely right, i’m stocked up for a long time. So if you’re ever at a loss of lube, i’m your dude.  Thankfully i just flew back from seeing family, actually. So i completely avoided any and all awkward interaction with that one…..but there’s sill gonna be that questioning when i have anyone over, and there’s still a ton of lube.

I mean, I could imagine them sending you a box of lube with like maybe 4 or 5 bottles in it, but a whole box is pretty fucking wild. You really are the chosen one! I bow down to you, lube king. I think the funnier packages are almost better than memorabilia or just about anything else. Sure, you can wear the T-shirts and whatnot, but now you have this amazing lube story that’ll never get old. And you can wear the lube, too. Haha! I’ll remember that, man. If I’ve got a special night planned or something, and I have no lube, you’re gonna be the first person I call. Shit, I might just have to put you in my phone as Lube King just because it’s so funny. I’ll change it eventually. Maybe. Do you have someplace where you can put all of it for the time being? Or is it gonna become a part of your home decor, just random bottles placed around the house.

Can’t say I’m with ya on the wake and bake, but I’m definitely with you on the no-pants required. Whenever I’m at home alone and not expecting company, I don’t even bother getting dressed. If all I’m going to be doing that night is chillin’ on the couch binge-watching a show or something, might as well be doing it without pants. And with how hot it’s been lately, my AC keeps my place on the cooler side, but it still gets a little muggy. It must be so sick to make your own beats and everything, yeah? I’ve met a few country singers, but sadly no rappers or anything like that yet. But I love a good beat to a song, I think that’s what really gets people’s attention. Where are you living at now, man? I was just in LA for a bit - but now I’m back in Columbus for the holiday, so I doubt you’re living out here in Ohio. Mostly just T-Shirts, stickers, memorabilia ‘n things like that, or protein. But some fucking lube would be so sick! You’ll probably be stocked for what, the rest of your life? And with some cookies too?! Fuck man, sounds like the best piece of mail ever. Were you alone when you opened it up? I could only imagine the look on your friends or family’s faces if you opened it up in front of that.

Ever had a company send you a bunch of their products, just cause you mentioned it in an interview ?? no ?? yes ?? Now, have you ever had a lube company send you a box full, just cause you mentioned one time, forever ago that you used it during filming to fit a certain part of a costume on - I don’t know who works at said company, but clearly an employee was catching up on some old interviews of mine and thought i’d appreciate it. That being said, they wrote a really nice message and even placed some cookies in it. I don’t know, but i don’t think any future gift i’ll be getting in the futures gonna top that.

From your description, it sounds like Masterchef. Are they really just regular home cooks or are they like special kinds of bakers? I’m always up for a good cooking show. I honestly think I watch all of Gordon Ramsay’s cooking shows. Masterchef, Hell’s Kitchen, The F Word, Kitchen Nightmares... you could say I’m obsessed. There’s just something about Gordon Ramsay that hooks me in. Well, that and the food. You should totally enter in! Who knows, maybe you’re this amazing talented baker and you never knew?

Does anyone else share my obsession with Nailed It! on Netflix? If you haven’t seen it – which you must – it’s a reality baking show where amateur bakers attempt incredible culinary feats. It’s so good and so funny and I’m considering submitting myself as a contestant… less for the prize money and more so that I can fangirl over the host and eat cake.

There’s just something about making a fool out of yourself in public, yeah? Back in my younger days I was always embarrassing myself in some way or another, so I got over it pretty quick. Now, I don’t care who’s watching me or what the hell I’m doing, as long as I’m having a good time. All of my friends who I’m usually with on a day to day basis are probably wishing I would cut the shit out though.
