Why You Aren’t Losing Weight (Part 3️⃣)
(sorry for the long wait lol. i’ve written this post 3 TIMES and each time I’ve been about 98% done about to post and my Tumblr app crashes haha)
Get ready for some tough love guys <3
You aren’t losing weight because you can’t handle the pain.
This is the biggest, most frustrating reason for anyone not reaching their weight loss goals and it honestly makes me so sad.
Things that are worth it take time. Things that are worth it and take time are never easy. Weight loss takes time and effort, and as you can guess, it’s hard af.
I try to make the concept of weight loss on my blog as abstract and easy as possible to understand the science of it. But do not get science and effort confused. The basic concept of weight loss is simple (calories in vs. calories out) but the effort it takes to put forward those changes is not easy. At all.
1. You are going to have to sacrifice. The typical fast food diet is not ok anymore. Pizza dates and brunch are no longer an option. You might start to feel isolated from everyone else who eats for other reasons than nourishment.
2. You are going to be in pain. Your body will fight you. Your brain will lie to you through hunger and cravings. You’ll have more to worry about on a daily basis.
3. You are going to have to stay disciplined. Every single time you cheat or binge adds another day, another exercise, another delay to the road to your UGW. Every day you look for an excuse is a day that you fail yourself.
4. Your behaviors are going to have to change. Food cannot be the comfort you seek anymore. The foods you can eat won’t be as readily-available. Sitting on your ass every day after classes or work won’t give you the shape you want. Not drinking enough water, sleeping enough, taking your supplements, and keeping up with your health won’t fly anymore.
You need to sit down and brace yourself for the sacrifice, pain, discipline, and change that will be 100% required for you to fully reach your goals. Expect that it’ll hurt a lot, because it will. But the amazing thing about our bodies is that we can adapt. Give yourself a month of suffering, grueling workouts, strict diet and nutrition, and by the 4th week you’ll start to feel different. It’s not because weight loss got easier: you became stronger! You know why? It’s because you are capable of anything you set out to do, and I really mean anything.
So if I’ve ever made it seem like weight loss is easy, I’m sorry. The concept is easy. But we’re people and we’re complicated af. And if no one’s ever said this to you today, or at all, here you go:
Shut the fuck up. Stop bitching. Do what needs to be done. Get the fuck up and move. Stop eating garbage. Stop failing yourself over and over.
I love and believe in you.

If you considering adopting a pet, I suggest getting an adult or senior animal!
Those animals need good homes and are less likely to be adopted than babies.
I know babies are cute but please, seniors especially need good homes.
