Chapter Preview:

Peri gave Timmy a light bump with his shoulder. “Scared?” He asked, half-teasing.

Timmy managed a smile. “Sort of,” he admitted. His grip on the strap of his tote bag tightened. “What if they hate my work?”

“Then you’ll find another publishing firm that won’t,” Peri said firmly. “Relax. It’s just a job interview.”

“Right, right…” Timmy took a deep breath. He didn’t look very reassured. Before Peri could try again to comfort him, though, Timmy continued, “I’m glad you’re here. But are you sure that you don’t want to talk about D—?”

“I’m sure,” Peri cut him off before Timmy could finish Dev’s name. As terrible as yesterday had been for him, today was about Timmy. “I’m here to support you. You’re going to nail this interview.”

Timmy glanced at him then, smirking. “Yeah, well, between you and me, I’m kind of hoping to ‘nail’ something else today.”

Peri snorted, unable to suppress the goofy little smile that came to his face. “We’ll see,” he said lightly. He reached down, taking hold of Timmy’s hand and giving a squeeze. “Get through this interview first, then I’m yours for the rest of the day.”

new au: featherfall, a demon x angel au

Oh yea! Here's one on the backburner, named— featherfall, an angel & demon au

Originally was concepted for us to write rps, but we didn't get really far with it.

Shinichi gets into an accident, breaks his wings and can't fly back up to heaven. He tries to ask for help but he's due for a vacation anyways, so everyone just tells him to take a break on earth. A dove spots him sitting in a park and goes to find its master to help.

The dove drags over a demon (Kaito) to help this angel because the dove was once hurt, and Shinichi helped it. Kaito begrudgingly offers him a place to stay until he can leave. (Demons live on earth, coexisting with humans and tempt them to fall into sin. While angels tend to be more of miracle workers (?) that answers prayers and dips in and out. I suppose.)

In this verse, angels and demons know of each other, but they try to stay out of each other's ways. They're enemies but hurting the other would result in some kind of big war.

It's an archangel meets archdemon au, except they believe the other is just a low ranking angel/demon and don't think of each other as a threat. Ofc, there's a big reveal later that involves some kind of betrayal of identities but at least this is the gist of it. x)

Kaitou Kid-- a mercenary Robin Hood-like thief who fucks up large guilds that monopolize mana elixirs. He steals from them and distributes it to the commoners. Has the element of wind, rank A.

Spade -- solves crimes committed by Agents (who abuse their awakened powers); joins the police force as a detective but awakens with an ice affinity once he's attacked. B-rank + growing.

Their love square is complicated, idek how to explain it.

probably won't write for it, but there are unfinished tidbits and doodle ideas for this...!
