I love this place so much! It’s amazing how a little beach hamlet a world away from your home town can become so deeply special.

Oh so much happiness! Give me these girls and Constantia Glen any day, and it’ll be the best day. Also went for a jog by 18 St James and Boyes Drive, and took a dip in the frigid tidal pool!

Beautiful day out in Rye. First time to Sussex! Mermaid Inn, rambling, sunshine, Chaucer pottery, and seagull dive bombing at the Old Bell (ca. 1390)

Started the morning at the surprisingly immersive Viking Sorceress (Völva) exhibit at the National Museum (plus dollhouses and rooms documenting each era in Danish history), then new potato and beef tartare smørrebrød, then walking to leafy Frederiksberg to make bracelets at Smykbar, then tasty dim sum in the meat packing district

Rosenborg Slot. Unhinged castle painted, stuccoed, and lacquered to the hilt. Featuring a 17th century mirrored room (adjacent to the king’s collection of erotica), the trap chair (weight-triggered farting noise and wetting), and thrones made of silver and narwhal tusk. I loved it! Also wandered to Christianshavn then Katja arrived for wine and Kong Frit because all kitchens were closed by 10:30pm

After a whirlwind of weekend travel and severe gastro distress, I am once again on the road. This time, solo (for now) in Copenhagen! Saw sunny Nyhavn, then had the best burger of my life at Gasoline Grill. Wandered around, ended up at Gråbrødretorv for a sunny evening wine, then Thai takeout
