My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.

The way to broaden the outlook
of the very narrow-hearted and prejudiced, and to make them listen to a wider teaching, was by showing towards them
the greatest kindness and love.
The example of our lives
was of more value than words.

The Valley of Search
On this journey the traveller abideth in every land
and dwelleth in every region. In every face,
he seeketh the beauty of the Friend;
in every country he looketh for the Beloved.
He joineth every company,
and seeketh fellowship with every soul,
that haply in some mind he may uncover
the secret of the Friend,
or in some face he may behold
the beauty of the Loved One.
Baha’u’llah, The Seven Valleys

O Thou divine Providence,
pitiful are we, grant us Thy succor;
homeless wanderers, give us Thy shelter;
scattered, do Thou unite us;
astray, gather us to Thy fold;
bereft, do Thou bestow upon us a share and portion;
athirst, lead us to the wellspring of Life;
frail, strengthen us that we may arise
to help Thy Cause and offer ourselves
as a living sacrifice in the pathway of guidance.

Selfish action imprisons the world.
Act selflessly, without any thought of personal profit.
At the beginning, mankind and the obligation
of selfless service were created together.
Through selfless service, you will always be fruitful
and find the fulfillment of your desires:
this is the promise of the Creator.
Bhagavad Gita, ch 3, v9-10

Action
Therefore strive that your actions day by day may be beautiful prayers. Turn towards God, and seek always to do that which is right and noble.
Enrich the poor, raise the fallen, comfort the sorrowful,
bring healing to the sick, reassure the fearful, rescue the oppressed,
bring hope to the hopeless, shelter the destitute!
This is the work of a true Bahá’í, and this is what is expected of him.
If we strive to do all this, then are we true Bahá’ís, but if we neglect it, we are not followers of the Light, and we have no right to the name.
Abdu'l Baha, Paris Talks
