blog post (reflective journal week 6)
Collaboration tools!
I have used a couple of collaboration tools mostly google drive and one drive. I have used these for coursework I have done in some online courses and now this course.
One Drive I like very much. I have used it and to have on hand the course guide notes. As well as this I save my assignments here, any photos or videos that need to be attached later to an assignment. The thing I like the most is being able to access one drive on my phone, iPad, pc or laptop so I can add to my assignments at any time. It’s a fantastic feature which helps me as I do chop and change which appliance I do my work on. It’s also easy to save work on word or PowerPoint through one drive so I know where it is. Doing this makes it easy to submit assignments by uploading from one drive to Moodle almost anywhere. To use one drive you need a membership to office 365. We have one for home which we pay yearly but I also have access to a tafe account which is included in the school fees.
Google Drive I had to use to hand in my assignments for my online course. This was annoying in the fact that using word to write the assignments then saving to google drive it wouldn’t format the document in the same style as word would. I would have to triple check it a few times to make sure it looks ok. I would also get my results back through google drive. My kids use google drive at school along with other google applications and they find it very useful to share projects with each other to edit or so on. If I couldn’t use one drive anymore due to finances I would happily use google drive instead. All you need for google drive is a gmail account.

Teams blog post (reflective journal week 6)

Group presentation for west Gippsland toy library.
In my group we had Chantel, Jess, Kirsty, Maisa and myself. As a group we were all respectful, listened to each other’s ideas. We all used each other’s strengths to compliment our group. Kirsty’s amazing memory in regards to policies, chantels way with words, maisa knowledge of art, Jess’s graphic designs and my experience with a Facebook group. After agreeing to the policies we then delegated out tasks that each of us were comfortable with. From the setup of the page, how we wanted the security of the page and for seeing any issues that could arise from a group page was all discussed and agreed in class then we would all have tasks for homework each week to set the page up and to think of informative posts and upcoming events we each add to the group. All up it was a laid back friendly group, easy to communicate with everyone and to finish without any issues. Happy to work with them all again. xx

Blog post (Reflective journal week 5)

I joined and used the discovery site Mix.
I did find it interesting, being able to choose what interests me and them finding similar groups that may interest me. Through those groups or people I can search for different groups and similar interests.
It seems like it’s very new so it has limited amount of strange groups that I like. I honestly had forgotten I had the app until it emailed me the weekly insights. I think I will keep it with hopes of it becoming bigger as it seems like a useful tool.

BLOG POST (Reflective Journal Week 4)
News site review..
Daily mail - The daily mail is a trash news site that steals articles from others sites without acknowledgement. The editing is atrocious, terrible spelling, grammar and constant repeating of the same sentence. Although frustrating you can always rely on the daily mail to be the first to report on any given situation, yes the articles are always wrong and tacky. They are constantly bullying Megan the new royal and love the Kardashians and Donald trump, they invade the privacy of almost everyone who may be famous or who wants to be. The best thing about the Daily Mail is the comments through their own site and on their facebook pages. If in need of entrainment and a reminder that yes you are intelligent reading these comments gives you a glance on how the trumpster was elected.
The Daily mail webpage can be easily to navigate until they decide to place massive adds on each page mostly for a new tv show or movie, this slows down the page to the point the photos won’t load and its impossible to read the trash. Normal adds that pop up are things you have been searching for which is bloody annoying when you have been searching for Christmas presents.
The mobile version of the site is easier to use when it comes to adds but its harder to search for articles you saw on facebook earlier but lost, also really hard to read the comments on this version, if I have to use my phone to look at it on webpage view instead of mobile version.
I generally look at articles that come up on my news feed through their facebook page only because the quality of comments are far better :p

BLOG POST (Reflective Journal Week 3)
Media sharing.
Facebook - Facebook is the social media I use the most to share. I love sharing posts form other users and groups. I share photos of the kids to my dad. I share memes gifs and videos mostly of the humorous kind, cats, sometimes medical and historical. Things that I find interesting I like to share to others. If I don’t share I will tag others on the page so they can see the item. At times I have facebook live video but generally I don’t as I don’t want to get other children in the videos.
YouTube - Love me some youtube. So easy to watch silly little things to zone out, past tv shows clips, music videos, crime and mystery channels. I love to read the comments while watching the videos too, the comments are generally really funny written by like minded people. If I find something really interesting I end up sharing on facebook for others to see. When the kids want to know about a certain subject or we want to catch up on any launches from NASA we watch on YouTube and defiantly share with others as its amazing to see such things so simply. Sharing these events on facebook makes sure certain people who normally wouldn’t know how to access these events can do so at a click of a button. On facebook I’ve watched kittens and giraffes be born live, my husband may think I'm insane but having such access to such events and watching it live with so many others around the world is pretty amazing.

BLOG POST TEAMS (Reflective journal Week 2)
10. Ask Yourself “What Would My Hero Do?”
This question jumped out at me because we have such a diverse group of individuals in our class no doubt the collective group of heroes we could combine would by eye opening but very humorous and insightful.
We tend to get stuck on what age we are and what computer skills we have, this tends to bring the class to a halt while conversations go off the rails. Instead of fixating on what you do or don’t know the question could be put how would your hero deal with the situation, would they wallow in the hardships of learning something new or would they jump at the chance with hands on their chin listening to every word being told with brightness in their eyes! It may help in diverting people’s minds from going back to old habits.
6. Bring it to Life
Ah. If I was a child now days I would of been diagnosed as having a learning disability. All good this such diagnosis would of made my life a whole lot easier, knowing I wasn’t stupid I just learnt in a different way.
I find mind mapping a useful tool. A way to draw out the worries or problems in your head by putting them on paper in the form of drawings in a diagram. This as the question states brings the problem to light but can also help show visually what you are trying to say. It would be a wonderful team tool to use, helping those who find it hard to express themselves verbally to show their ideas but for others to understand what they are trying to say.

IT Skills (Reflective Journal week 1)
Social media applications I use are :
Facebook - this is the most common applications I use on a daily basis. I have strong control over the privacy in the last year due to finding my own mental health not dealing with knowing so many peoples private information without reacting to it. I have dropped over 400 friends, removed most school mothers and have just left friends and family I actually like and communicate with in real life. In doing so I now enjoy facebook. I like pages with things that I am interested in, crime groups, Melbourne groups, cat groups, doctor who groups, comedy groups and so on. I have maxed my privacy so only profile pictures and timeline photos are shown. I also use facebook to keep in contact with my dad. He loves facebook for train groups and to keep in contact with people from England where he was born. Lately he has been wanting to get rid of facebook due to scam problems on his account and sending to all his groups. We also communicate mostly on Messenger.
A few years ago I was thrown into a larger social media pool due to wanting my son to meet mat smith who played the 11th doctor who. He was coming to Australia and at that time I wasn’t financially viable to pay almost $2000 for my son and I to meet him, given we had a few weeks notice. My son loved doctor who and helped him with his health issues so this was a big thing. I started up a facebook page at 1am in the morning and sent it out to friends and a few facebook doctor who groups. Next day there was over 100 likes, the following day after messaging groups we had a 1000 likes. It was suggested to bring this mission to twitter, instagram and tumblr, hence this account. I had no idea how to use them, still kind of don’t but they helped to get his facebook page to 18000 likes and thankfully fundraised enough money to meet him.
I use twitter only to keep up with certain celebrities who refuse to use facebook. I may check up once a week. Instagram I have kept my account open as my year 7 year old son now has it and I like to keep an eye on him.
Snap chat I just downloaded for filters to take cute photos with the kids.
Redit I started using with the website websleuths as that was the forum they used. I now use Redit for similar reasons to facebook to connect with things that hold my general interests.
YouTube I have been using more lately due to connecting to the tv, love watching history documentaries, live cat videos and crime videos.
I use facebook and youtube the most nowdays and would easily use them daily, the others is just whenever the need arises or and completely bored.
Due to bullying at school in the olden days I make sure I do not put myself into the position of being bullied. Only times where I have is on facebook posts from daily mail when I make a comment on a Donald trump article. I set it up and let them go off like a bomb, job done let them show their true nature and I guess when it comes to Australian politics too I may be guilty of doing this also. Very hard not to respond personally when they attack you personally.
