Here in Texas everything is a coke until you specify what flavor you want. Calling them soda is also common.

Just read the ask about Cola vs. Soda and I'm currently living on the coast of Washington state. Here in the pacific northwest, all these people call it pop, whereas in California where I'm originally from it's all refered to as soda. :)
