I felt like I needed to share this story today very badly. I was lucky enough to have a first-hand experience with Andrea Swift. When Taylor came to the Super Bowl pre show in New Orleans in 2010, my friend and I drove out to just stand by the fence and get a glimpse at her. We didn’t have tickets or anything. There were a few other people standing around, not very many. We saw Taylor, she had on a silver glittery dress. And after Taylor waved at us and got in her car, we saw Andrea Swift. Not many people knew who she was, but we did. When she heard us calling her name, she came over to us. When everyone saw that she had wristbands in her hand, we got completely TRAMPLED by everyone around us. She made sure she didn’t take her eyes off of us, and handed us the wristbands to the private show and told us thank you so much for being such dedicated fans and supporting them. She saw that we had been waiting for hours just too SEE Taylor walk out of her car, not expecting anything. It was because of her generosity and sincere kindness that my friend and I got to see our favorite singer in person for the very first time. And not only that, but we got to see first-handedly genuineness and selflessness of Momma Swift. We were even on the local news. I will never forget this day as long as I shall live. It was in 2010, and it was the hilight of my senior year. Now, here I am 5 years later and I’m sitting at work and I read that Andrea Swift was diagnosed with cancer. My heart sank. How could someone so nice and kind be forced to face this? My heart goes out to the Swift family. So I just wanted to say Thank You Momma Swift, and I pray God heals you very quickly. You’ve done so many good things for so many people. It’s your turn to get it back. “Cause there’s someyhing in your eyes that says ‘we can beat this.’”
