WORDS
They say , “Actions speak louder than words”. But it isn’t so always. The bullets fired out of one’s mouth decimate the other person mentally. Hurtful, tormenting, mean and embarrassing words leave nothing but pain and misery. Word is a coin with two faces. Mythology and history has set several examples. The Mahabharat, The Ramayan and even The Bible has several examples stating the same.
Words can kill you with no bullets. It should never intimidate a person. The insidious effect of the negative words can be directly on the psyche. Sticks and stones may just break the bones but words can wretch the soul.
What if we can think better before we actually express? What if we can stop the damage even before it takes place?
Indeed, words need words to explain. We can have thousands of beautiful words in our own native languages to amuse others. To console them who are in distress. To instruct and inspire at the opportune moment. Feels much better and is ripple effect. We can add our own experiences in the form of a quotation which can be valuable message to someone else. Words can become a general store of knowledge as ascending the ladder of success in life and to kindle the young talent.
Your life can be radically changed in an instant through the power of words. Next time before you speak ask your mind to re-think. Because if your heart feels better it instructs your mind to think better and speak better.

TIME IS A GREAT HEALER
“Time is a dressmaker specializing in alterations” - Faith Baldwin
Time has a power to change the journey of a man’s life. The jounery which can have wrong turns , U turns and may be also prone to accidents that might cost ones life . Time takes us for a journey from the space where the bitter incidents took place and leave us in a new space of happiness. This is because every experience in our life teaches us a great lessons which gives us a chance to be a better human being tomorrow than what we are today.
Yes, Time is the Greatest Healer, It depends on the nature of wound how long would it take to heal. It is human nature, his present forces the past to the back ground.
Take for example how many people know what they had studied in their 6th class "exactly", only a blurred vision is left. Mind keeps that are required & drops the things that are not necessary. It does so by the image you hold in your mind. If you constantly recall or remember in your mind some event, does not matter good or bad or worse. It will glue with you & impact your perspective too. So, its all decided by the duration you glued to events. If its gradually fades away with time we say it "TIME IS THE GREATEST HEALER" or if you decide that i will not keep that memories, don't want to have any visualization of that memories & expel them out from my mind we say it "ABILITY OF HUMAN TO MOVE ON" .That's all science behind it.
As and as time passes it gives us solution to our unsolved mysteries and problems. This 0 element brought ape to human evolution. Time also brought inventions like cultivation, discovery of fire etc,.The evolution in time changed the woman’s life. They broke the old schooled traditions and fought for their freedom for girl education , empowerment and their rights .
What we need to do is that give time its space to work and thus we are assured with great miracles. Many a time what we feel is that we can’t come out of our bad time and it is the end of everything but still there remains hope and time to have wonders happening. This healing power of time allows us to grow up , reflect on myself, and learn to survive in this society.
Although the process of healing is painful, one can medidate his past and learn from it. Life is tough but only by extracting unfortunate and all kind of experiences , one can grown up mentally and shape his mind to face any kind of life.
Caterpillar must endure a process of struggle before it becomes a beautiful butterfly - and the process it’s about time.

Art holds a very special place in my life. I draw, paint, sing and write.Truly blessed, indeed. Imagine a life with no colours , no music , no dance , no drama already sound very robotic and lifeless. Why? Because art has an overwhelming strength of power to evoke our deep emotions. It is an exclusive piece of creativity to express emotions, understanding and knowledge. I believe India is home for various cultural arts. Our clothes define our rich heritage and great history. A beautiful seven yards stretch of fabric called “ saree” can be draped in endless ways serving different purposes. Women wore saree to wars to weddings. Walk in the streets of Madurai and you will come across centuries old gigantic and complex sculptures on the vibrant temples that will awe you.
The beauty of India from North to South , East to West you will come across various forms of art in nook and corner of the country. You certainly need not have to travel in search of art. Sit at home and look around your space , you will observe art everywhere. The beautiful patterns of kolam , furniture, books , the weaves , embroidery on clothes, the vibrant tribal art on the wall , the language you speak, art is everywhere to inspire us. Art is unlocks creativity , satisfying, therapeutic and calming. It creates a special interest in life. New experience, new learnings , new beginnings, new creations , new hardships and new solutions.
Years ago, the Indian mythological narratives were hand painted on a long stretch of fabric known as Pattachitra Katha. One of the most popular living art forms, and people in Odisha practice it to this day. All the ingredients used for painting the piece of art is completely environment friendly. The colors and visuals are absolutely intriguing and easy to understand with through mythological illustrations. The impressions are hard to erase from mind. Not only pattachitra Katha , we have several other paintings belonging to different regions like Madhubani , Warli , Cheriyal , Gond , Kali Ghat , Phad , Kalamkari , Kerala murals, Picchwai are some to name.

Every household religiously every morning draw a beautiful symmetrical patterns in the front yard and it said to be drawn to announce auspiciousness and that all-is-well in the household while its absence implies otherwise. The kolam consists of regular household items like rice powder, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals which is sensible, economical and ecological. Human body is also a piece of art. Every person has his or her unique characteristics. We must be great full of our existence. The nature too has its own symmetry and symphony. The landscapes, flower shapes, sizes, colors and patterns are rhetoric. Many artists get pensive and elated in nature’s majestic grandeur that inspires their own imaginary world. Beauty also lies in imperfection is applicable to art as well. The crude version of art has a creates a rustic vibe to it. In traditional Japanese aesthetics, sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" , popularly known as wabi-sabi. Imperfections create new perspective and different insights.
Source of Entertainment Before the age of technology, one of the most amusing and entertaining form of art was Puppetry , Indian Classical Drama and Classical Dance. All three are usually based on dramatic literature and performance. Spontaneous dialogue narration with no takes is an art indeed. These dramas are played even today in theatrical performances. Art of healing. Music is therapeutic. The Indian classical music is rich tradition that dates back to the sacred Vedic scriptures over 6,000 years ago where chants developed a system of musical notes.
The primary elements are the Raaga and the taala. The art form is further divided into two parts
1. Hindustani classical music 2. Carnatic music
Many studies have proven music therapy can help in healing progression. Our body has 7 chakras where each one is related to a music note. There are various ragas which are sung on different hours of the day. Raga Bowli is chosen to promote relaxation and prevents the effects of chronic stress.
Shadjam – The Mooladhara Chakra – Associated with the Energy of Survival- Element is Earth / Prithvi As mentioned, each note is connected to each chakra in the body which further helps in removing all the blocks in the Sapta Chakras, thereby ensuring physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual well being to the human society. Art is where life and creativity are inseparable. India is known for its rich culture and art. The nation imbibes the age-old art and culture that had been once a part of ancient India. The younger generations must know the value of their heritage. It is our responsibility to learn, preserve and promote the Indian folk, dance, music, clothing and all the other forms of art that belongs to us.

Pickle Engineers
Pickles are jewel of our nation. The art of preparing the pickles is an ancient procedure. It is part of the culture and history for more than 4,000 years. Our meal is incomplete without it. Indian cuisine is the best example for people who take food as their passion. When it comes to Indian food, nothing gives a homely feeling other than “achar / pachadi ”.
The delicate flavors of our rich spices is the gimmick of our pickles. The avakaya recipe is the king of Andhra pickles since ages. Avakaya is amalgamation of two different words. The word ava means the thick mustard paste and kaya is simply any raw fruit or vegetable. In this case, it is the bite- sized chunks of raw mango well coated and marinated in thick mustard paste and sesame or peanut oil with local and simple home pound aromatic spices giving unbeatable taste to the flesh inside with maximum shelf life.
A fine balance between sweet, hot, spice and tart. Yum!! I am not having any superlative degree to describe it. Every district has it’s own regional special , simple and seasonal achar. The pungent aroma would leave you mouthwatering and spellbound. We love to carry our trunk full of pickles when travelling. This humble, age old recipes are our ancestral wisdom to keep us alive even during the crisis. Its not just a flow of recipe but also needs dedication and tender love to prepare and care for it. We are full of emotions and so do our pickles.
The best part of pickle is it has nothing to do with economic status. If deep pockets enjoy it with biryani then the other might enjoy with it simple roti. Can be enjoyed by everyone. It is a mode to continue our culture to keep it alive for coming generations. Pickles keep us stuck to our roots. It reminds me of my summer vacations and my family. It has all the flavors which we have in our life. We have something for everyone. In fact, they say it was India which introduced pickles to the world. It stood as a means to survive during sea voyage and probably tradition of pickling may have also developed a solution for the hard times of food scarcity and seasonality of produce.
Who knew that simple fermentation of vegetables will be a topic to write someday ? Am sure each one of us have their own stories and importance of pickles in their lives like i had in my hostel days! Would you like to taste them too ?

Altering Perceptions Of Reality
Instagram is deception for personal gain. People thrive to seek attention in order to frame a perception which could be far away from their reality. Why? Social media is a platform for many people who could display a complete false image according to their choice since it is impossible in to do so in real life. I am so exhausted to see my friends showcasing their fake lifestyles on the cost of appeasement or publicity. Vacation must be fun and not just photo centric for the sake of being relevant amongst your followers. Where does this fake lifestyle and attitude come from? And being a so called “influencer” is another fashion. Wearing clothes that you own in several unique ways is a talent in deed. But what makes this an influencer? There is an ocean of opportunities if one is really willing to influence people in a positive way for development at any possible level. Spreading fake positivity, Diverting the reality, setting fake body standards , toxicity etc is right now all over the social media! Anything beyond a limit is poison.
Why cannot one feel or look beautiful without makeup and non- labelled clothes? Does a farmer not feel confident enough in his attire? Why is here external beauty given more importance than feeling beautiful from within. A slow motion video , with shiny silky hair and some good lighting and you are sorted. The followers are in unimaginable figures.
It is high time for people to who would they like to follow . A good looking face with or without wit or a worthy person with real talent, knowledge and skill.

“ The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people.”
No two people look alike. The fact has now been muddled by some social media influencers.
Everybody wants to have an “ Instagram Face”. Typically clear blemish free skin, tight pores, chiseled checks , almond eyes and sharp nose, plumply lips, narrow waist and broad hip. Why do we want to be photocopies of wrong beauty standards and fall prey to it? Why do we want to limit ourselves and forcefully fit in? What’s the problem in looking real? Why people want to accept the unfair and unreal standards ? It is because every body wants a flawless and perfect face with filters and “tweakments” are pretty much accessible. Everybody is running after unattainable, and unrealistic beauty goals.
The world is enormously huge. There’s diversity found in everything. “ we’re all in all different shapes and sizes”, cliché but true. We must strictly embrace the ethnicity we come from. We can be Fair, medium, olive, dark and anything in between. We’re all rare beauties. Our eyes, hair type, body is unique to our identity.
There have been many applications accessible to retouch the photos to one’s liking. This further promotes fad diets, dangerous gummies and exercise routine. Nothing on this earth can every help one to shrink and exaggerate the body proportions. Ultimately, even if one achieves the goal, it can only be for shortest span , this can blow out our of proportion, drastic impact on physical and mental health. Why do be so hard on yourself when you can be happy and healthy in your own skin?
Self-love is everything. Anything one’s lost cannot be regained. One small error in the process can give you a major blow. Mistakes cannot always be corrected neither life nor on health. Better to look after whatever we are gifted with.

What you reap is what you sow.
As they say “Spare the Time or Spoil the child”. A child’s innocence is as pure as the driven snow. They are fresh and delicate. They are unbiased and lovingly. These delicate buds need utmost care and affection. I see many new age parents sparingly spend time with their little ones. If dedicating time for children so hard , then why to go for kids? A good parenting reflects in every action of the child. Indian parents have always stressed on “ Sanskar ” (multiplication of virtues). If left loose with no guidance, they may get wandered in a directionless path.
In this digital age, children naturally get attracted to what’s appealing to the eyes. Not everything that shines is gold. Right? A mother and a father play a pivotal role in a child’a mental development.
Monkey see monkey do. It is natural human tendency to observe things around. Children observe and learn from the actions of their elders; keeping this in mind, the elders should behave accordingly. Don’t preach when you cannot practice. Don’t expect what you don’t practice. The elders should set an example by exhibiting good qualities such as respecting their parents, talking politely with everyone, respecting everyone, paying gratitude etc. When the elders are disciplined enough to teach their children ,every family is an ideal family.
Spending time with further creates a strong bond. It creates a scope for nurturing the child. Children are naïve and innocent. The bias is unknown to them until they step in to the real world. They require attention and guidance. Teach them to pray as soon as they wake up in the morning and pay gratitude to God for showing all that he has been blessed with.Train them to be accountable to their own actions. Teach the difference between the right and wrong.
This would logically help them to make better decisions. After all the toil in sowing, watering the plant we certainly expect the flower to be bright and healthy. Children are essentially here compared to flowers. They are now tiny buds , once they are prepared to bloom , the vibrant colours spread joy and peace alike flowers.

Grow your own, be sure
Look around yourself. It is mostly concrete and tall structures everywhere. We lost the touch with nature. We do not know how grass feels under the feet.We do not know where the food on the table comes from. We almost forgot what fresh air feels like, lost it to pandemic. In all this deep pessimism, we all need a break from our quotidian life. Let us relive once again, mask free in our garden.
While stuck at home during this pandemic, I found gardening to be an a way out to rejuvenate myself. Let’s unfold further. Studies have found merely looking at a garden can affect blood pressure, heart rate. It in a nutshell, promotes feelings of serenity and calm, making it therapeutic in nature.
Why do we feel so much better sitting around the garden ? Why is it so calming? What’s the secret behind?
In 2015, researchers from Stanford study the neural activity of the people who had been on a 90 minute nature walk versus people who had been on urban walk. The study shows those who walk through the nature had a decreased anxiety and rumination, decreased heart rate, blood pressure gown down, adrenaline levels change. Just playing with soil changes so many things in the body.
The size of the space doesn’t matter. One can grow a small garden anywhere even in a limited outdoor space. Start small. Pick your choice herbs . Get a good container for your plant and soil rich in nutrients.Start your self with a small plant and you may or may not succeed in your first trial. But keep going. We humans are part of the nature. Spending some quality time in the green space generates positiveness towards life. Scientists say, the symmetrical patterns, and lines on the plants, flowers reduce the stress.
Get your hands dirty, sit under the sun, enjoy the work, smell your flowers, check your plants progress, communicate with them. And all is well.
Grow your own food
It is outrageous to spend money on something which you can grow at your own space. The produce we purchase from the supermarket need not have a superior quality. Often to retain the freshness and for shelf life reasons the fruits and vegetables go through a deep pesticide bath. We cannot eat or feed toxic chemical to the family. The chemicals can cause a sever damage to the nervous system and it has been linked with development of intelligence and behavioural problems in children. Not only for children, but for soil, water table and environment too.Plus the plastic used for package and bags add up to the environmental damage.

We live in a fragile ecosystem, the insects are dependent on each other. Eliminating any of these from the cycle will ultimately disturb the complete eco-system.
So what is the solution?
Compared with conventional techniques, organic farming uses fewer pesticides, reduces soil erosion, decreases nitrate leaching into groundwater and surface water, and recycles food waste , animal wastes back into the farm.
Conclusion
Collectively the action of each one of us can create a change and help reducing the damage caused to the environment . Gardening for an hour can burn 200-300 calories. Maintain a good family health and save your money. Small change, big difference. May be something we all can definitely practice. Inspire and educate others about your journey of self sufficiency.

If you want to be happy for a lifetime, plant a garden
Gardening and it’s wisdom
Growing your own food gives you a sense of satisfaction, sentiment and contentment. It is beyond farm to fork. Gardening can impart some very valuable life lessons. Plants take a hard knock from the changing weather conditions. Not everything happens as we expect. But sometimes the plant manages to pull up itself in spite of the odds and remains to stand tall. We humans lack to pull up our courage in our weak moments.
Ever thought of owning your own vegetables at your backyard? Whether your a total new comer, a brown thumb or a seasonal green thumb it doesn’t matter as long as the right path is chosen.Try extending your arm towards the earth and Mother Earth will take you into her arms. Initially, you might kill a few plants. But don’t stop there. Your mistakes allow you to grow better, next time. But after a course of time, you will be a proud gardener.
Patience is key. A seed can take a few days to a few weeks to show up on the ground. But do not keep waiting! Things will happen on its own pace. Good things take time. Magic cannot happen over night.
Even the smallest growth is to be appreciated and celebrated. The tiny green seedling will bring you a sense of hope and satisfaction you have been waiting for. In life, we ignore to appreciate smallest things which we relearn here.
Nature is therapeutic. Our bodies are made of dirt so forget your worries and dig in with your hands. Relish the time for your mental health and soul. This instantly connects with the soils touch. This is the most underrated emotion and bond. Nurture your plants and they will look after you. Big or small space doesn’t matter. Turn your empty lands into a resourceful one. Now you can save some money on your groceries.
You home grown vegetables and fruits taste much better and delicious with less cost and less food wastage. One has a complete control and what kind of manure to go in. Taste the freshest ingredients from your own garden everyday.Your family’s health and wealth is now in your hands.Your hard work pays off.Be thankful for what you eat.
Make it a life style. Restore the seeds from the last harvest and share your wisdom to your children. Educate them. Let them know, what you gained from your experiences, mistakes, life lesson and how enduring it is to plant them at your own space.Self sufficient even during the crises. It is outrageous to buy something when you can grow at your space. How satisfying it is to watch something you’re helping it grow daily.
Share your surplus with your neighbours and friends. Tell them it’s organic and then you’re in the state of “contentment “. Sharing is caring.

My Grandma’s Kitchen
Whether you eat rice or roti, your food is your proudest identity. Did you notice what old school kitchen looks like? Our great grandmothers and grandmothers never used non-stick cookware or Teflon. In India , cooking has several cultural aspects. Women entered into the kitchen only after a shower , worship the holy fire, one of the divine forces before cooking begins. It’s pure gratitude, science and hygiene. In olden days kitchen equipment were mainly classified into five categories namely :
Stone
Clay
Ceramics
Wood
Metals
Stones :
Imgae Source: www.ancientcookware.com
This heavy stone equipment is specifically used for grinding and pounding purpose.
The wet grinding stone is fine grinds the lentils and pulses. The mechanism of the stone is a heavy arm workout for strong arms.
The dry one is used for pounding rice grains, chillies, turmeric, salt and other spices.
Further, soap stone variety is used for general cooking purpose like any utensil. High cooking time.
Retains the heat for longer hours.
The life span of the utensils was unbeatable. We still preserve and cherish using ancient traditional cook wear. And Many memories are associated to it. Cooking was definitely a lengthy process but not unhealthy. Each level of process enhanced the taste and added nutritional value to the final outcome.
Clay :
Clay, even today is one of the major sustainable part of the kitchen. The vessels, lids, pots, tumblers, chulha etc., were made from this very basic, economical and ecological ingredient.
It has high level of porosity. The water is stored in the clay pots during summers to keep it cool. The clay sucks in any impurities. Curd is stored in the container to add the “earthy“ flavour.
Mineral content in clay vary from region to region, but many contain high levels of calcium, iron, copper and magnesium.
All the above are vital part of human diet.
Ceramics :
My fond memory with ceramics is the pickle container. It ranges in many different sizes. Pickles, salt and pound chilly powder were stored and preserved for the rest of the year.
Ceramics are toxic-free, eco-friendly, culturally appropriate, heat resistant , best to preserve, non stick and aesthetically pleasing.
Wood :
The traditional rolling board and pin , spoons, ladle, utensils, oil press machines. Basically, a log of wood cut into different shapes to serve various purpose.
Its non-conducting nature of heat, makes it easier to use in kitchen and to serve hot meals.
Previously oil were extracted in an equipment where the vessel could be wooden or stone. The grains were crushed between the wooden logs and oil were extracted. ( cold press technique). Today, similar process could be found for extracting sugar cane juice.
Metals :
This is my personal choice of preference. The major part of kitchen is usually metal. Copper, cast iron, gold, silver, bronze and stainless steel. The tumblers, ladles, vessels, spoons, knives etc ., Each kind of metal has its own properties and so should be used for specific purposes only. If properly used the metal will enhance the flavour of the food prepared otherwise would be equally harmful or poisonous.
Copper
This metal is widely used to store water in kitchen, for drinking purpose and holy practices. Copper water is simply water that has been stored in a copper container. This allows for safe amounts of copper to leach into the water. The leached copper to kill bacteria, the water must be stored in a copper vessel at least overnight or up to 48 hours.
Strengthens immunity system by helping us produce new cells.
Copper has very potent antibacterial properties, if bacteria come in contact with copper, they immediately get killed.
Cast Iron
For nearly two decades the markets was fled with Teflon coated pans and vessel. The Teflon simply won’t let the food burn on the bottom and are non stick. The cast iron are absolutely non replaceable. They are nontoxic, rough and tough, zero maintenance.
The cast iron immediately reminds me of dosa tava. They are efficient , uniformly, saving fuel because it is a good conductor of heat.
It is believed, the cast iron would leave a minute amount of iron into the food which is an added nutrient.
Corrosion is the only downside of this particular metal. It is always better to keep away from the wet ingredients and moisture. Save it in dry and clean area.
Stainless Steel
No introduction required to this metal hero. We all have many stainless steel plates, tumbler, spoon, jars in our kitchen.
Safe to use, cheap, no fear of rust.
Gold:
The most attractive and one of the most expensive metals. Not everybody can afford to buy gold cutlery and vessels. The metal is usually used for auspicious occasions. Gold is not only beautiful but also packed with high benefit.
Asthma and Breathlessness
Strengthens the nervous system
And increases stamina
Silver:
Silver has proven antibacterial properties, which is one of the key reasons food is served in it.
Silver is an antimicrobial that protects the body by preventing flu and aiding wound healing.
It also has skin benefits. Silver will also shield us from harmful electromagnetic radiation. It is Immunity booster, nontoxic, free radicals and many more benefits.
Bronze ( Kansa ) :
Kansa is madeup of copper and tin.The freshness and aroma of the masalas kept in kansa jars cannot be sustained in plastic containers. Kansa retains the quality of our masalas, food stuff, pickles etc. Investing on these jars can cost you more bucks but they are sure to last for a lifetime that plastics don’t. Kansa is now a new find in the beauty industry for face message. This is one such traditional metal mentioned in our ancient scriptures, particularly in Ayurveda texts, wherein elaborate accounts of use of bronze kitchenware are given. One such text to quote is the ‘Rasaratna Samucchaya’.
We previously had different metals used for its own and distinct purpose.Today, each one has some deficiency in the body which is further compensated by pills and not food. Again another blunder committed.
We damaged the foundation of the basic kitchen sciences. We trusted in attractive yet deceiving television commercials. It took us decades to fall out of the trap and go back to our roots for better health.
The modern cook wear could be convenient and easy, but is it healthy? Opting for fast track routine could be harmful. We better walk slow and steady. Life is not a race. We have made enough progress and damaged the environment. Making some of the the above life style changes would be beneficial for human health, saves energy and environment. Lastly, smart choice is not picking the right technology, it about making the right and wise choice.

The Big Indian Platter
“Food is not rational , food is cultural, habit , craving and identity” - Jonathan Safran Foer
Indian Meals
A jumbo sized plate full of sizzling hot dishes, tantalizing flavours, dollops of clarified butter, aromatic spices and just the right amount of dessert is satisfyingly suffice to fall in love with the great Indian food. No wise man would ever leave his plate incomplete without his portion of sweet.
India has a wide varieties for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and all across the country, every city, district and state has fabulous flavours to offer. And how can one miss to have pani puri, chole - kulche, vada - pav, pav - bhaji, samosa, aloo chat, aloo tikki , biryani, kachori and so much more .
Streets Style Magic
We curated our own style of Italian and Chinese cuisine. Everything we do and eat shows the love for spices we have. Home made food is an ecstasy for everyone. The love and hygiene is incomparably divine. The items may vary from region to region though.
“ Highway on your plate”
There’s a different fan base for Dhabe ka khaana. Those who choose to travel by road would never want to miss a massive blast of flavours dancing in their plates. The atmosphere is homely, open air, huge trees and breezy . The dhaba style preparation is usually rustic and village styled. Usually offers regional speciality meals, served piping hot as soon as you place your order. Tempering is the embellishment . Nothing over the top or fancy.Though restaurants try to offer the best with the interpretation of food and fancy, it can never be comparable to the typical Indian dhabas. Yes, I am biased. The set up of the dhaba is a vibe in itself. Beautiful simplicity.
Home made meals are broadly cultural, traditional and of course delicious. It is regionally customized and hence each family has its own recipes. In here, everything we practice has a touch of divinity. In one of the ancient Hindu Scriptures called Taittiriya Upanishads, the Sanskrit phrase Atithi Devo Bhava holds sacred meaning and translates to ‘The Guest is God’. The Great Indian hospitality is all about comforting the guest , of course, with food. The host , warmly welcome the guests minimum with a glass of water, chai or coffee. And then the food is celebrated on the tables. The genuine love, respect, warmth and reverence, is obvious through our food.
The little things that mom do where good translates to love and caress is mouth-watering, satisfying, appetizing and never boring. Indian meals are always well planned, wholesome and healthy. It is not about cooking and eating a meal together. The home cooked meal is an emotion and contentment in one plate. We all work hard to eat, feel and live well. Enjoying a good meal keeps all problems and illness at bay.Consider the sense of satisfaction and smile as energy to bring all the family together at the table.
Alan D. Wolfelt says “Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate” and so is my situation to describe more about my authentic Indian food.
