What's up, I'm Nixie. As you hopefully know. I'd be genuinely concerned if you couldn't tell by now.

So over this.
I'm having a hard time understanding why, exactly, people from around here find is so necessary to just shove by you on the sidewalk. Some people have trouble keeping balance as it is, now this? This is exactly why I prefer the sea.

A feeling of shyness from Emma suddenly arose in the air after Nixie's comment. She lifted an eyebrow skeptically at the girl, but quickly let it go. Something about the blonde clamming up at the mention of her friend's name was quite adorable. "Fantastic. I'll have to get down there sometime soon. On the other hand..I need to find out more about this wall..and..did you say a tentacle? What's that all about?"
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then. It's really beautiful." God, Emma would be so screwed if her suspicion about this girl was wrong, but there was only one way to find out, and of course, it was the hard way.
Nixie wasn’t about to give herself up, yet she wasn’t going to let the blonde’s suspicions grow more if she denied to go to Mako. As long as she was perfectly careful, there was no harm. “Sure, yeah, no that’d be great,” she replied in a slur. Anything to throw Emma off of her trail, right?

Nixie couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow at the situation Emma was describing. This was something completely unheard of before now. At least, that's what she had originally thought. "Hm..well, your friend," she threw in a taunting smirk, "seems very interesting. I've never heard of this..stimulating a full moon with nothing but powers..that's unheard of." It was pretty obvious by the way Emma spoke about Rikki that she had a little something going for her. "I'd like to meet her. And the others. I so need to see this."

A rather devious smirk appeared on Nixie's lips as Emma snapped her reply out. It was quite entertaining to see her jealousy peaking through, though, she did feel bad. Being left wasn't exactly a new feeling to the brunette. Clearly, Emma wasn't in the mood to discuss further details, so Nixie left it go. Barely without a warning, the blonde sitting across from her suddenly froze the wall rather abruptly. She wondered the reason for this nearly immediately. "No, no, do go on. Was there something you were expecting it to do? It's just, I've never had the idea of stimulating a full moon before using the actual wall."

Maybe this was the girl Emma had been talking about. Or one of them. Though, she wasn't exactly given any details about looks, just personalities. So far, this girl could only match the one personality Emma seemed to dwell on; Rikki. Nixie did find it quite weird that they had never run into one another after all these years. Maybe it was just a game of chances. Nixie, Lyla, and Sirena were never really given the job of protecting the moon pool until a year or so before. So that may have something to do with it.
Disregarding the last statement about demanding Nixie to leave, she studied the girl for a second longer before replying. "You must be Rikki," she said certainly. Electric blue eyes, blondish white hair, tiny frame. It must have been her. A faint feeling of excitement and accomplishment at the same time came over her as she finally was able to meet the infamous girl. "Nice tail," Nixie added, examining her expressions carefully. What if she had gotten the wrong girl? Maybe it was foolish to just blurt it out like that, assuming it was her name.

This girl seemed to be quite bothered by something, yet Nixie couldn't peg exactly what it was. She seemed..as if she was longing for something. Nixie was never one to dwell, so she let that go for the moment. "I have a sense you are not particularly fond of this new comer, Bella was it?" The brunette asked with a hint of curiosity. Changing her sight of path Nixie looked to the wall that Emma was reckoning to. "Ah, yes. Moon rock. All of these pieces of jewelery can in fact stimulate the full moon. Though, I'm not exactly educated on how to use is one hundred percent right.."
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then. Nixie + Rikki; Small Ocean After All
Just hours ago, Nixie had discovered there are a lot more land mermaids than she had originally thought there to be. She wasn't necessarily sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Wasn't that the reason she had come onto land in the first place? To get rid of Zac, a land merman's, powers? This was different though. These four girls were not mermen, therefor there should be no issue whatsoever. They weren't dangerous like mermen. In fact, Nixie had actually been looking forward to befriending these 'new' mermaids.
It was just another casual Saturday morning on the Gold Coast. Get up, get a smoothie, watch David and Sirena go ga-ga over each other at the Ocean Cafe, take a swim, go to Rita's, repeat. Only this time, Nixie was in on a newly found secret. An unkept secret. It was probably about lunchtime by the time Nixie made it to the water to take a swim. Nixie hurried down the shallow stairs in Rita's secret hideaway and dived into the water, eager to get to Mako and relax. Her legs formed together into the familiar tail as she darted off to Mako Island. After a few short minutes, Nixie was welcomed by the opened moon pool entrance..and another tail. A smile came over her face as she swum through the entrance and to the surface. She was sure it was Sirena, completely forgetting there were now other mermaids on the premises. As she surfaced, Nixie was welcomed by a very unfamiliar face. She jumped a little bit and raised her eyebrows. "Who exactly are you?"

Nixie rolled her eyes playfully at the comment from the girl across from her. Emma reminded her more and more of Lyla, just by her challenging demeanor. The girl's eyes traveled downward to the blonde's pristine locket dangling from her neck. Three original mermaids..Nixie finally reckoned she was referring to land mermaids generations before them. "It's beautiful," she added, admiring the piece of jewelery. "I haven't earned my moon ring yet, kind of happens when you are kicked out of the pod." Nixie bit her lower lip gently and grinned lightly. "Hey, I'm working on it. It'll happen. I hope.."
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then. Nixie examined the girl's expressions carefully. Something seemed to be bothering the blonde, deep down. The way she moved showed it. Shaking it off, Nixie ignored this behavior and made a slightly disgusted face. "Gross, having legs 24/7 is just..no," Nixie replied with a small chuckle. "Yeah about that. Sirena used her moon ring and it worked instantly." After a second, the brunette realized Emma probably was unaware of what a moon ring exactly was. "Oh yes, a moon ring is basically a ring that can stimulate a full moon. It's..complicated. So Rita insists, at least. I'm a pro at it by now," Nixie said sarcastically at her last statement.
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then. "Funny," Nixie replied teasingly with a smirk, reclining against the cool moon pool rocks. It wouldn't be a bad thing to try, right? They were already banned from the pod anyway. No, it would not be right. Shaking her head, Nixie listened thoughtfully to Emma. "Oh god no. That would be a little too awful," she replied, slightly taken aback by Emma's conclusion. "Our plan was just to drain his powers. But there's a few problems. One, we don't know how, and two, we don't even know if the pod would return. I keep telling the girls it's hopeless, but," Nixie shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm growing to like this whole land thing."
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then. Nixie grinned and shook her head at Emma's disbelief. "Hey, you'd be surprised," the brunette replied in defense. Nixie could practically keep a list of all of the mischievous things she has done, especially since she has been on land. "Yeah, that's kind of a problem," she replied, tilting her head to the side in thought. "But, most died during the war. Now, the only merman in existence, that we know of at least, is Zac."
Emma knew that tone of voice all too well. Her underlying interest for the girl peaked, and she flashed her a friendly smile. "Well, I should take you out there some time, then.
