My Daily Update 2
Well, guys, it is June 12, 1730, it is a sad day today. Not only did my daughter Anne die a couple of weeks ago, but also my son Richard died today. He was infected by his sister Anne. They both have died and my family is extremely sad. The good news is that Matilda is finally pregnant again, it looks like she is 5 months pregnant. She is both happy, and sad today. All I can hope is that she will feel better today because our past few attempts have been unsuccessful. I hope you guys reading this are better than us today. Hopefully, we will soon be happy when the tobacco crops fully grow out.

Disaster has struck
Although the title states that we are building a new ship, it isn't exactly what we want. Unfortunately we have been hit by a large Hurricane. The abundance of rain and extremely fast winds have brought devastation to our colony. Not only have farms been ruined but so have ships. Specifically, the ship Oscar and Thomas have been working on has been destroyed. Oscar seems shattered but Thomas wants to get back out there and repair it. Many houses have been blown down leaving multiple families homeless. We have offered to take in a family and help them until they can find a new permanent place to live. The nearby and oh so popular trading post, the Aptucxet has been destroyed. However, it seems that it will be able to get repaired. As for us, nothing has been destroyed except Thomas and Oscar's ship. We will work as hard as we can to build it back up again.

Their first day of School
Today was Jessica and Thomas’ first day visiting the schoolhouse. She told me that she had a wonderful day. They started off their day with prayers. She and her classmates quilted so Jessica brought home a scarf for her mother. They also cleaned and cooked food. Thomas, although, didn’t seem to enjoy his day as much as Jessica did. He was required to work in the garden and chop wood. He saw other children fixing things and using tools, which he would have preferred. Although, he did enjoy flying kites and playing hopscotch. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for Thomas and that Jessica will enjoy it as much as today.

Shopping Spree!
We spent our day today visiting many merchants. For myself I purchased a few coats, they weren’t too expensive, a couple pounds of fish. James and Reece also enjoyed purchasing some Tricorne Hats for themselves. Margaret found a couple of leading strings for Adam. She also bought a gown for herself. Thomas eyed a waistcoat so I decided to purchase it for him. We also bought a couple pairs of stockings to go with a couple of breeches that we purchased.

Adam’s first Sunday Worship
Adam has entered the world in perfect health. He was born last night at 11:32 with help from our neighbours. It’s perfect timing too because today is his first Sunday. Today we will be worshiping with prayers in many different ways. We visited the local church and spoke with the citizens about God. We also read the Geneva Bible and discussed it. Then we will end the day by singing two different psalms after the preacher reads a sermon and discusses his conclusions. Every Sunday we visit the local church and follow practices devoting our lives to God, we also do not work at all on Sundays.

Family Dinner Time! Once a week we all try to gather together in the kitchen and have a nice supper. We have beans, corns and plenty of fish to feed the entire family. After we all eat, I like to bring some of the leftovers to other families in the town.

I’ve taught them right. Oscar and Thomas are finally getting the hang of building ships. One day, they will have their own family shipbuilding company and teach their own children.

It’s Oliver Jones
I’m Oliver Jones, a 22 year old shipbuilder who helps farm in his spare time. I just got married to Margaret and we’re about to have our tenth child. Adam will be joining Olivia, Bethany, Oscar, James, Reece, Lauren, Victoria, Thomas and Jessica. My family also strongly follows Puritanism.
My father, George Jones arrived here first. I was then born some years later. Most, if not all of his income made from growing corn. He taught me at a young age hoping I would follow in his steps when he passes away and here I am today with my own family on the same land I grew up on.
