How to love yourself//
1. Keep yourself busy//
Keeping yourself busy means you’ll have less time to dwell on how you look and instead you’ll be focused what you’re doing in the present moment
2. Drop comparison// Just because you find beauty in others, doesn’t mean there’s an absence of your own
3. Don’t seek a partner to love what you can’t// Take the time to complete yourself. Don’t depend FULLY on a loved one to make you feel good about yourself.
4. Take care of your body// Adopt the mindset of ‘NOURISH NOT PUNISH’. A healthy diet and regular exercise encourages a healthy mind
5. Actively choose to move on from your past// Any bad experiences you’ve endured need to be acknowledged and moved on from (as best as possible). Try not to dwell on the past too much and continue to sink in your sadness. Choose to grow from the experience
6. Surround yourself with people that will help you grow// There’s no point in investing time into people who won’t support & encourage you to do the things you love. They’ll just drag you down & stop you from achieving great things
7. Excel in the things you’re passionate about// doing something you love will make you feel good about yourself
8. Invest in a few cute outfits// Sometimes it’s as simple as wearing something you like! Wearing clothes that you’re not comfortable in will make you feel less confident
9. Learn to be happy in your own company// Feeling happy in your own company is liberating! This will enable you to be independent and focused
10.Be Kind to others// By showing others kindness you are reflecting your own personality, and in return you should start treating yourself the same way… with respect & kindness
11. Marry yourself and marry yourself right now// Make a long-term commitment to yourself & DO IT NOW. Don’t say I’m only going to love myself when I drop 10 KG’S. Don’t say I’m only going to love myself when I get my braces off. Don’t say I’m only going to love myself when I can keep a boyfriend for longer than a month.
NO. Walk yourself down the aisle for who you are now. And for better or worst, accept your entirety.
12. Love yourself how you’d want to be loved// Every vow you’d make to your boyfriend/girlfriend husband/ wife or future partner… Make to yourself. Understand that what you expect from a significant other- should be the way you treat yourself now.
13. Focus on your strengths// Stop criticizing yourself based on your weaknesses. Focus on your strengths and in return you shall flourish.
14. Accept that you’re going to have bad days// Nobody is perfect. Even the people you idolize have bad days where they don’t feel good about themselves. Just remember you are human & tomorrow is a new day!
