but i feel people go down these slopes so quick. yes, caiti could have moved when she got up. i believe in that ! in owning situations and making them comfortable for yourself when you are not !

she shouldn't have to ? she should be able to sit in a couch normally, and get up and sit back down as many times as she wants. she should be able to sit and cuddle with george comfortably even !!! without implications !!! but she was never given the chance to have an opinion on what to do

she shouldn't have to tip toe and be put in complicated uncomfortable situations where she has to decide whether to move away for her own comfort, or continue suffering because she's scared of hurting a man's ego

the issue is the consent of it all !!! the issue is misogyny and expecting women to conform to men !!! the issue is him. he's the problem. how he didn't gauge the situation, how he didn't ask, how he in his entitlement made it worse, how she was scared of making a scene because she didn't feel safe moving away

she absolutely could have moved. but she shouldn't have to. she should have been able to enjoy her night and that's it. blaming her is making her responsible for a situation that, no matter what she does, she is still being hurt. that night, at no point in time, was she in control of her own comfort. it was all at the hands of a room who didn't give enough of a shit to check on her

she's being proper victim blamed when no matter what she did, she was going to be hurt. the only people who could have prevented that did nothing. the guy directly responsible for the worst of it has more accountability of what he did than some people speaking about it now
