I’m glad people are leaning into deku’s selfishness more because that was such a fundamental part of his character. he has never been an ‘everyman that loves all equally’ type, and the “he would’ve done that for anyone” argument against anything he’s done for katsuki is so tired, because no he wouldn’t.

the final arc, epilogue, and 431 trying to wedge in and insinuate that he’s always been surface level when we just saw him go absolutely ballistic over katsuki’s corpse and no one else? lmao.

sighh post-war bkdk where they're literally all over each other anytime anywhere without question as if its the most normal thing in the world. izuku sitting on the couch of the common room while playing games when katsuki shows up and wordlessly stretches his legs onto izuku's thighs. or katsuki who's sitting on the floor during movie night with izuku leaning back against him like he's a pillow. one time kaminari asks them if they're dating and they just look at him weird.

then one day the class notices them being more distant with one another. katsuki and izuku reach for the soy sauce at the same time, their fingers accidentally touch, and immediately they pull away like its hot and mumble out awkward 'sorry''s. another time they end up sitting beside each other on the couch, shoulders barely touching but izuku somehow still ends up falling over the armrest while katsuki's shoving sero towards the other half of the couch. them being unable to function during team battles not because they're fighting but because they can't say two words to each other without turning red and stuttering.

"did one of you finally confess or something?" kaminari jokingly asks. he gets his answer when he sees katsuki's face twitch, the immediate blush creeping up his neck and burning his ears. "..oh damn."

"their feelings became one" is so bittersweet when you think about it. from childhood, middle school, to highschool, izuku and katsuki were never on the same wavelength; they've come close multiple times, but they always had some differences. it's during this fight that, for the first time, they understand each other as a whole. this is why they were able to fight together so well with little words said, and why katsuki despite himself actually gets emotional for izuku post-war.

its bittersweet bc they remind me of perpendicular lines, because despite how far apart they start off, they will always end up intersecting at a singular point in time

one headcanon i don't play with is smoker izuku. he was influenced by hawks who offered him a cig during the vigilante arc and he's been smoking ever since. it's definitely lessened as the years go by but once in a while, whenever he's particularly stressed, he'll smoke one or two. people around him HATE it, but he can just never fully quit no matter how hard he tries. of course as a pro-hero and a UA teacher he has to be discreet about it, so he smokes on the balcony, in alleys, or uses bathroom breaks as an excuse.

I love the headcannons that Katsuki is a morning person and Izuku likes to sleep in.

Like Katsuki being so put together at the ungodly hour of 6 AM is so funny to me. There’s also something super charming about Izuku indulging in sleep.

They both seem like the kind of people to be on top of sleep, but for different reasons.

Katsuki is probably super health focused, like he knows if he doesn’t sleep it’s going to seriously effect his performance in school which will hurt his goals of being a hero. Katsuki seems like the kind of person who takes really good care of his body and has a strict sleeping schedule, meaning he HAS to be in bed at a certain hour so he can wake up at the exact time the next morning.

Izuku on the other hand—like it’s not that he doesn’t take care of himself and isn’t health focused. He’s obsessed with keeping up with his exercises so he can be a good hero as well. But Izuku also has a tendency to overextert himself, which we see in canon.

I feel like sleep would be the one act of self care Izuku does for pleasure. It’s less about taking care of himself and more about self soothing. (If that makes sense?)

Like if Izuku is forgoing sleep, it’s an active act of self harm—he’s pushing himself way too hard, like in his vigilante arc. Or it could be a sign of stress.

So when they start dating/sharing a bed, their dynamic is so cute.

Katsuki sets an alarm for 6AM and Izuku grumbles the entire time that his warm boyfriend is trying to get out of bed.

“Kacchan, five more minutes.”

“No way dumbass, you already said that five minutes ago.”

“Nooooo, you’re so warm.”

“You’re lucky I’m not dragging you out of bed with me!”

I’ve seen other people say stuff about them wanting to be romantic while also competing to be the caregiver. So Izuku has plans to wake up early to make Katsuki breakfast, but doesn’t realize that Katsuki has already planned to get up even earlier than usual. So by the time Izuku is like “haha I’m up first >:3” Katsuki is stepping back into their room with food.

(And he’s super smug about it while Izuku is pouting/eating his food, which tastes amazing btw because Katsuki made it and is a way better cook.)

Anyways yeah I love their dynamics and now I wanna write some domestic fluff.
