It's been a long time since I posted on here, but I need you to hear me out. 

This platform remains incredible important to me, as it is where I had the chance to meet the love of my life and my now spouse Vero (verovex @ ao3, former copplepotcrimefamily on tumblr). Gotham fandom brought us together by us both writing fics and encouraging each other, and I will forever cherish that.

We are both still writers and have projects and dreams, however we both also suffer from chronic illness and mental illness.

I see them hurt every single day both physically and mentally. They used to do so many things, write, spend hours on gifs and fanvids with so much thought and heart put into it. Because all that come from them is filled with emotion. However the brain fog of the pain makes it impossible to continue to and I know how much they miss it. 

Vero is in a very tough spot where their endometriosis has gotten so bad that they cannot function on a daily basis. This combined with other symptoms we do not know the origin or cause which make it all the more scary with how severe it is. 

I see them suffer every single day, turning and clenching their teeth in pain just trying to survive. 

They moved to Sweden to be with me, but with the country's system they are not eligible for health care here yet and even if/when they do get it, it's very inadequate care which has failed every single person I know including myself. 

We are already drowning in bills and medical bills. And it's still a long way to go. 

We found a clinic in the UK that could help but the cost will be insane. 

If you have ever read and loved work by verovex, or had the pleasure to talk to them – you know they are the most wonderful and kind person there is. 

They just completed their masters in global sexual reproductive health and rights, and are looking for work and a position that allows them to see their project fruition in improving health care for trans people.

I have seen these kinds of posts floating around on Tumblr before but I beg of you, please help us. I don't want to lose my spouse and I fear the longer they go without care the bigger chances I will.

bring back the habits that made you happy as a child. there’s no reason you should ever have to give up harmless things that bring you joy. you don’t have to age out of having fun. finger paint. write mediocre fanfiction and questionable poetry. put chocolate chips in your waffles. sing in the bath, and while working in the yard, and while washing your hands. hammer tunelessly on a piano. spin in circles until you fall down. climb a tree. just because you’re now in charge of your life doesn’t mean you’re expected to give up on the things that make life feel worth living

Emmy-winning actress Jessica Walter, arguably best known for her role as icy matriarch Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development, died on Wednesday at her home in New York City. She was 80.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica,” Walters’ daughter, Brooke Bowman, said in a statement to our sister pub Deadline. “A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off. While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre.”

Walter was also providing the voice of Malory Archer on the FX’s long-running Archer.

Additional TV credits include TV Land’s Retired at 35 (opposite the recently deceased George Segal) and 90210 (the reboot). She won an Emmy in 1995 for her starring role in the short-lived NBC drama series Amy Prentiss.

but anyway!!!!! if you’re tired of period dramas about white lesbians in forbidden love, just watch more movies about wlwoc!!! our movies exist! our stories exist!!! just because they don’t get as much hype as carol/poalof/ammonite doesn’t mean they don’t exist!!! do your research and support more lesbian/bi/trans women filmmakers of colour! support dee rees! support cheryl dunye! support desiree akhavan, maryam keshavarz, sydney freeland, alice wu, tracey choi, shamim sarif, gazal dhaliwal, isabel sandoval, vera egito, vicky du, nisha ganatra, nahnatchka khan, zero chou, just to name a few!! yes it sucks that white stories are given precendence over theirs, but complaining about it while doing nothing to support them isn’t going to fix the problem. we shouldn’t just wait for the content we want to be spoonfed to us. it’s important to seek it out.
