Description: This photo was taken for a magazine. Im pretty sure they used a green screen to make it look like she was really in a desert looking place. im sure they edited the colour of the pictures as well.
I think we were supposed to notice the photo-manipulation because, we know that they usually use green screens for backgrounds like that most of the times. also the colour is popping out much more than it should. I think the best category to fit this would be Aesthetic because they edited and used a greenscreen to make it look much better than it would in a raw picture.

Descripton: This is a photo that has been edited for a magazine. My guess is that they took multiple photos of the women and later, edited three of them together to make it look like a nice, cool illusion. It is for a fashion ad so they had to make it look very nice and colourful.
I think we were supposed to notice the photo-manipulation because its a magazine, everyone knows they edit magazines. I think they also want us to see how hard they worked on the editing and pictures as well. I think the best category that would fit this picture is Aesthetic because they made the picture look much better than it would without all the editing.

Descrption: In June of 1994, in the midst of OJ Simpson’s murder trial, both TIME magazine and Newsweek featured Simpson’s mugshot on their covers. This was a magazie cover for a trial but I misunderstood it because of the title. I thought it would have bee a story on something bad that had happened.
I think it was meant to be noticed of the photo-manipulation. To make people think the photo was for something else or just to make us think different things.I think the category that best fit this would be Creative because of how we can think its other hthings but it is really just one thing.

This picture was a New York’s Aids memorial. It was to remember the times that we went through with Aids and the people who were affected during those times as well. Peole say it was a signifcant picture and was very nice. Everyone was impressed by it. I think it was a a smart thing to do, especially for the times of Covid-19 that we are going through right now.
I thinnk there was no manipulation in this photo. I believe it was very raw and was not really planned. Maybe the man standing there was apart of it? But I think thats not harmful and overall, the only thing that was to be notived was the meaning of the picture. But, before I read the headlines of the picture, I had no idea it was for the memorial. I thought it was just a nice picture. That is a example of the contect outside of the frame changing the meaning of the photo.
I think the best category for this would be Creative because I thought the picture was just a picture but it was actually meant for something, and that made me think of the picyure in a new way.
(2. The content/context outside the frame would change the meaning. )

Description: People think that “the boy in Syrian bomb factory” was staged. By the looks of the photo, it does looked quite staged. In my opinion, It just looks like the boy was smeared with dirt on his body and ut dirt on his clothes to make it seem likeer has been doing hard work. People ask £where is this workshop with such great lighting?” which they do that a great point in that. Mostly all workshops are dark and dont have great lighting.
I dont think it was meant to be noticed that it was a munipulating photo because they wanted us to belive that this boy was actually woriking in the workshop for hours and they dont want us to think they are fakers because that is not good publicity for themselves. I think the purpose of the photo was to be deceptive (to make you think something is true when it’s not) because so many people arelready think its not true and there is some signs that is not true so this category fits the best.

In Knightbridge, London, England
This photo that was captured looked so trippy to me. It impressed me a lot when I seen how balanced the lights and colors were, even on a moving object like that. The glowing, bright yellow-ish lights forming a shape was so smart to think of. It's extremly radiant to the eyes. The yellow mixed with the orange-ish and brown-ish colours as wells;  so fawless to the touch.

Summary Notes;
-Get close. Make sure you get into the action. Standing to the side is nothing more than what people usually see as a normal bystander. Jusr try to get involved
-Wide lenses; Make sure it is not super wide, nut make sure its not telephoto.Once you start pushing past 50mm the background compression is such that you lose all context of the shot. While you are getting closer to the action, pull out a wider lens to add context and impact to your images.
-Show a different poiny of view; To stand out and add value you need to position your work away from the pack
-Continuity;If you are putting your images together in a series then it is worth keeping similar focal lengths.If the images jump from 17mm to 200mm then it is harder to connect with the story.
-Compositon; Find a spot of interest, frame your shot up, and wait for something to happen. In doing this, you are far more likely to capture an amazing moment with great composition. Patience is your friend.

Summary Notes;
-When dealing with flash photpgragy, there are two exposures happening. One is exposure for the ambient light ans one is your flash exposure that relies on you aperture.
-Using a slow shutter speed helped with maing the motion blur for the lights. The photographer also swung or rotated the camera.
-To make sure the subject is not blurred, have an on camera flash the fires to freeze the motion of the subject.
-The flash is what makes ure the subject is visible and sharp
-zoomed flash is how to achive the spotlight effect.
-For rear curtain sync when you press the shutter button, the shutter will open, the sensor will gather ambient light, and just before the shutter closes the flash will fire.
-The more lights you have in the background, the more streaks you have, and the more chances you have of those streaks covering up your subject.
-We can use this to our advantage by keeping an eye on where our subject is in the frame, in relation to the background lights.

Summary Notes;
-Exposure; One way to control the amount of light coming into the camera is by changing the size by opneing the lens.
-Where aperture is a measurement of the size of the opening, shutter speed is a measurement of the that time light is permitted through.
-Aperture and shutter speed both work together to help determine how your image will be exposed.
-Shutter speed can freeze time and capture dynamic motion.
-When shooting with very fast shutter speeds over 1/1000 of a second, you can capture very fast moving objects with a little blur since the sensor is exposed for a very small fraction for the subjects movement.
-When shooting with very slow shutter speeds with 1 second or more, it show more motion blur than ever, since the sensor is exposed for a longer period of time.
-Shutter seed will also determine how much motion you will see from any movement of the camera.
-When using shutter speed, it is impied that you should make sure the camers is sturdy so try to use a tripod.
-Shooting at 1/1000 of a second or faster is great for shootin handheld and capturing fast moving action with no motion blur.

Movement here is quite easy to capture. I asked my friend once again to do some kind action so I can take the picture, and she decided to spin. I captured Her spinning and it turned out looking like she was turning in a slow motion way. her hair looks like its flowing in the wind and it looks like a professional picture as well.

This picture is my friend running down the ramp. I decided to take a picture of her and is turned out well because it also shows the aspects of motion. You can see that it is blurred but that is because she was moving quite fast but, it did turn out to look like she is moving in slow motion as well.

It’s easy to see that the subject is moving in the photo. In this situation, she is running away from the camera, up the ramp. Her loose sweatshirt makes it look like she is running in slow motion in a way and her long her swaying to the side makes it a little blurry, making the slow motion effect look better.The ‘Sports’ mode on the camera helped with me capturing this photo and showing motion in still pictures.

This photo is my favpurite photo I have seen on tumblr so far. The way the background is unfocusd and how the train is moving so fact to make that effect is amazing. I lok how it is focused on the girl but also has that blurry effect on her hair as well. The photographer reall out did theirsleves and achived the look of ‘movement’

In this picture, the man is clearly riding his bike and is showing that he is moving as well. it does give a blurred effect but I think the photograper was trying to achieve that look, however in my opinion the photo would look better if the bicycle rider was in focus and the background was blurred.
