one thing i never get tired of in songs is when they include some sounds from the recording booth like a laugh at the end, a âwas that good?â or like, the sounds of the guitar being put down, a chair creaking. itâs nice how music can be used as an escape but also something that ties you right back down to earth. it will affect you so deeply & then ur like wow⌠you just played that. itâs grounding & magical & just one of my fave things ever!
2014: Wow I love Supernatural and Destiel so much! Sure they never TALK about Destiel but if you look at the colors in this scene and the way Dean looks at Cas here, maybe someday they will be cannon. I know itâs a long shot though.
2024: âIf the CW hadnât been so homophobic, Dean and Cas wouldâve been balls deep.â
i think we should remind musicians they can absolutely make up little stories for their songs btw. it doesnât have to be about them at all. you can invent a guy and put him in situations to music. time honoured tradition in fact.
starting a conspiracy theory that misha collins came out as bisexual because he experienced so much workplace homophobia on the supernatural set that he momentarily forgot he was actually straight
Iron Man 1 really said "the actual bad guy is the white capitalist who is selling arms under the table to both sides in order to extend the war and make as much money from it as possible," and Iron Man 2 really said "the white capitalist who gives a platform to people with bad intentions in order to make a buck is the reason the bad intentions have the opportunity to prosper and cause untold damage," and Iron Man 3 really said "the real terrorist is the white capitalist who will create and use fear to manipulate governments and the public in order to sell a product," and I really don't think enough people recognise this.
Hannah Montana is fucked up because its entire POINT as a show is that children should be protected from fame and exploitation, but it stars a REAL little girl that's being exploited. Nearly every episode carries the looming threat of Miley being outed as Hannah and losing her peaceful teenage life to the ravages of fame. Her father in the show (played by her own father in real life) wisely protected her from the trauma of fame by making her wear a disguise and live a rather quiet, interview-free life. Meanwhile the REAL Billy Ray Cyrus sold his daughter to Disney Channel when she was 11 and forced her to read dialogue about how terrible it would be to face the public eye. Like... Jesus, dude. The fictional Robby Ray is 10x the father, and it's not even close. (It's also IMMENSELY funny that her dad doesn't use his real name in the show, while she does. Almost like he wanted a bit of a disconnect between his identity and his character. Something Miley didn't get.)
