Project Proposal

I would like to use collage and let people know the importance of emotions, among which I would like to announce the importance of sadness. In the film Inside Out, Sadness was hated by other emotions because she made Riley to feel sad and cry, the main character of the movie. And Sadness and Joy were on a longterm memory trip, where they met Riley’s imaginary friend Bing Bong. And Sadness listened to Bing Bong and cried together, and Joy could not understand the situation. I would like to make this situation with a collage and let people know the importance of Sadness. Also in the ending of the movie, Riley acted impulsively when Joy and Sadness were not in the headquarters, and after they returned, Riley ran to her mom and dad to tell them about the things she had been struggling with tears. In that part allowed Joy to control Riley's feelings for Sadness, which also shows that Sadness is important to a person's feelings.  Lastly, I want to let people know that people don't have to try to be happy unconditionally. There are moments when everyone wants to cry and moments when they get angry, and every time they do, they don't have to try to look happy with a forced smile.

I've never thought that Disgust was a positive influence on Riley and other emotions while watching the movie Inside Out. On the Inside Looking Out, written by the Lovelystart, is a fanfic that shows a friendship about Disgust and Sadness. Sadness did not laugh, she always looked sad, and Joy told Disgust that she always looked sad. And as Sadness continued to touch Riley's memory ball and change it from happiness memory to a sad memory, Joy asked her to play the game with a white circle of chalk around her and the game was for Sadness not to come out of the circle. Disgust felt bad watching Joy and Sadness. Four different memories, Anger, Disgust, Fear, and Joy had never liked Sadness before but thought that didn't mean that she needed to be humiliated. Disgust, who felt sorry for Sadness, unwittingly erased some of the circle around Sadness and said to her, "You don't have to stay here. I uh... I broke your circle." After clearing the circle, Disgust was confused with the thinking of what other emotion should explain when they see their actions and don't know if what they did was right. When I watched the film Inside Out, I thought Joy can feel only happy, Sadness can feel only sad, and Anger can feel only angry, but after reading the fanfics, I changed my mind. They could feel friendship, gratitude, sorry, and love for each other. If you've seen Inside Out, I hope you'll read this fanfic because it helps you see the movie in a different view, and not just the relationship between Riley and emotions, but also a relationship of five emotions.

At first, I was a little surprised to see it. Fear was holding a Disgust and she was drinking tea in his arms and their cheeks were red. In this regard, they seemed to be in love, but I didn't think that emotions could fall in love with each other while watching the Inside-Out movie. When I saw this art, I looked for more fan art and many people were painting the love story of emotions. I was surprised at first, but the more interesting I was to see it, the more I could see it in a new viewpoint. While watching the movie, I thought Sadness only felt sad and Joy can felt only happiness, but this picture allowed her to think about something else, for example, different feelings, they could also like each other. The background color was also expressed in yellow and pink, which also helped understand the picture that Disgust and Fear liked each other. And I got a question after watching many fan art. In many paintings, five emotions were expressed as either female or male, and Fear was sometimes expressed as female or as a man in. So while seeing this picture, I thought that there was a possibility that Fear might be a woman. And I liked the purple color of the dust scarf and shoes. It was better because purple, the color that symbolized Fear, was good because it was a scarf and shoes of the Disgust and it seemed to mean they were intertwined.
