The grossest mischaracterization I’ve seen in fanfics is the idea that Katniss hates kids and that’s why she never wanted to have any. If you think that is the case, you have WILDLY misinterpreted the entire reason why katniss foreswears having children throughout the trilogy. It’s the complete opposite; she loves kids so much that she couldn’t bear them suffering the inevitable pain that comes from living in Panem. She would rather not have children at all than have them be subjected to that. Throughout the series she consistently shows deep care and love for children (prim, rue) and that is such an integral part of her character. She is inherently maternal and she knows that’s one of her weaknesses. I’ve seen fics where katniss looks at a kid and thinks ���wow what a brat kids are so smelly I never want to have any” and others where she’s pregnant and is thinking “im only really having this child for Peeta, I don’t even know if I’ll be capable of loving it as much”, just so that they can eventually have a scene where she gives birth and is like “omg I love this child so much wow I was so wrong to not want kids!”. NO!! YOU READ THE BOOKS WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED!!!

Hi! Oh my god, the Fourtris post…it was so spontaneous, I literally finished it in half an hour, lol. I do not write divergent fanfics, it was just a one shot that I had to write cause I loved the headcanon. I do write fics for The Vampire Diaries on ao3, though, and my fics for Star Wars, The Mortal Instruments, and Harry Potter are all on Ffnet. My handle for both those sites is the same as my username. Thank you for saying you liked my writing, it means a lot!

hey there, I really like your fics! Your 1920s au is sooo good, i loved it! I was going through your wip wednesday posts, and I especially liked the ones of the one you called 'excerpts', if i'm not wrong. any progress on that one? 🤞😊

Hi! Thank you for reading my fics, I'm happy you like them! (And honestly, I have to say I'm a little surprised, I've never particularly thought my 1920s au was one of my best works, lol, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!)

As for the progress report on excerpts, I'm happy (and slightly terrified) to say that I've only completed half of it. I'm at 26k right now, but I'm moving much slower than I thought I would, because I'm simultaneously working on the next chapter of ATSBT and a harry potter au (which seems to have gotten out of the 12k limit I had set for it and has grown far more than I had expected. Ah, fics and the minds of their own they seem to spawn) so I'm a little behind.

If you want to know what it's about exactly, I can tell you that. I had read a lot of human au fics with klaus and caroline that were so freaking amazing, like they had everything. Good storylines, drama, angst, good grammar, plot twists, etc, etc. Basically, what I wanted to write was a human au, but one that would seemingly have no end. Imagine Seinfeld, if you've ever seen in. The writers and the characters basically describe it as a show about nothing. At it's core, Seinfeld is basically days in the lives of four core characters, and the events they go through. There are no major plot twists or long storylines, barring a rare few. It's mostly just snippets. Which is what this fic is, if I can even call it that. It's like a huge collection of drabbles in human au which have some association with each other. They're all set in the same universe, but each drabble is approximately 2k-3k long. There are storylines, however, long ones that extend. It's a human au, at it's core, so it's going to have the essential things of a human life--college, dating, married life, work, kids...the basics. The drabbles, to the name are literally...excerpts of life. Snapshots.

I do hope I get to finish it soon, though. Sorry for the paragraph, lol, I absolutely did not mean for this ask to get out of hand.
