Narinder's mind
TW for relating to hallucinations and stuff
Yet again, our dear cat guy had a vision of himself in a nightmare, waking up made a sea of anxiety and sobs, he managed to compose himself and draw something that looked somewhat like this
Tumblr media
Poor Narinder, still feeling like a puppet to the older, bigger self that trapped him in his own body to get his selfish goals.
Mori will never understand why all of the owners they've been through them all have a kind of problem that makes them end up worse than they were
...
Who's Mori?
Tumblr media
Surprise! Here in this AU the crowns are on hold to a new owner, and Memento Mori (along the other copy of Cayn's world) are the last crowns of the Okd Faith Lands that have power and are active

What do we do on tuesday nights?
WRITE A TON OF OUR CULT'S THINGS!
Tonight my fellas, we're talking about our canon events, this list may be actualized in the future when I actually buy the game and play again (bc I was playing with PS Plus and recently got cut out from the family budget, thus leading to cancel it)
Random color code:
Bold names are exclusively for important characters (Leshy, Heket, Narinder, Abel, Cayn, Shamura, Kallamar)
Italic names are for ocs or other implied characters
- Leshy and Heket firstly didn't got along (still they don't), and while our dear frog girl was in her turn of the bar, a very drunk ass moss worm atarted pressing her buttons. One punch lead to another...
Heket lost and fucking died.
(No worries! She revived right after that by Abel's word)
- Calix (soon to talk about his lore) was one of the cult's healers, the best at his job, he would not hesitate to save someone's life, thus making him get eaten by a recently revived guy...
When Abel took care of the threat and revived this dear cat of the cult, what was his first request?
"Leader, KILL ME. DO IT ON THE NIGHT SO THERE ARE NO WITNESSES."
(Currently, Abel's trying to explain Leshy (his lover) how did he fucking died next day of being revived.)
- Love's in the air they said to Abel, but little they expected that something else would float when a guy implied that his former husband Ramses wasn't being loyal to him.
(Fortunately, the poet was good food.)
- What was the most sudden plot twists of the cult? Kallamar has the trait 'Lustful', but surprisingly, no partners match him. Leshy took the place of the cult's sex worker. So, at night, kissing random people and dragging them into more sin, at day, hitting the kitchen to bake delicious food
(Abel wants him to burn one of these days...)
- When Cayn firstly met Shamura, they were slightly creeped oht, but the former bishop fell deeply in love. Little the spider expected, that the new goat had already a lover. In a meticulous plan, they trashed the lover and made their way to them. After marrying successfully and developing feelings, they confessed that... And surprisingly, they weren't freaked out.
(They found it hot.)

It's nothing and thanks! I like to add tons of angst to me lore (and just Abel's the tip of the iceberg)
As for me I would also have it down on two weeks or so
(because the moss worm already drained my brain and I'm working on adapting the lore to my AU...)
But yeah take your sweet time because the art you do of CoTL's amazing!! :D
Again and over, it's nothing at all, thanks to you!!
5 votes are enough to motivate me so let's get this party started 🎉🎉🎉
Using these to get out of artblock and kinda as warmup so they're gonna be a bit simple lol ^_^
First up is the lamb!!
Tumblr media
(Next one will be linked once it's published)
(My lamb lore is under cut)
The past and pre sacrifice:
Lamb (real name unknown to everyone but her) was born into a small secluded town near the outskirts of Darkwood. This community was mostly occupied by other sheep folk so the species's culture was always very well known in their life and they treasured said culture deeply. She remembers vaguely growing up as a lively young girl, surrounded by friends, and always taking a leader position when it came to anything teamwork. They often stayed out late at night collecting plants and bugs, and learning everything around the world around them was their passion.
They always yearned of opening a shop to call their own, one they could sell knickknacks they found in the forest in. As soon as she became an adult, she got a job at one of the towns shops in order to save enough money to open said shop. However, before she could have the chance to open said shop, word began spreading about the mass killings of sheepkind that the bishops of the old faith began doing across the lands of the old faith. Although most of the sheep folk in the village belived they were far enough and hidden away enough to be spotted, others left, looking for better hiding spots to trully be secluded away from the public. Lamb was one of these travelers, donning a cloak and traveling constantly from place to place so they wouldn't be able to track her down
However, eventually, they found her now as she travelled and they dragged her back to Darkwood, were the very last killing of lambs would take place, and she was set to be the last lamb of the whole ordeal to be killed. They dragged her to the place for the execution, took away all the belongings she had with her, and sheered her of all her wool, which was incredible painful mentally because it was one of the few things that gave her a sense of Individuality. (Also, at least in my au, a sheep's wool is extremely important to their culture as well, as most sheep make their own clothes out of their own wool). They then were dragged to the line of 30 or so fellow sheep folk that were destined to meet the same fate as her, only that they were killed before her. As such, for the last few moments of her life, she saw all her fellow sheep folk die, their decapitated bodies tossed asside, leaving pools of blood. A species and culture so lively now dead and it probably will stay dead for the rest of millennia.
The present
Being able to play god (and later on even become god), was both a good thing and bad thing for the lamb. On one hand it gave them a sense of power an control that they hadn't felt in a long time, one they had been missing since they ran away to better hide from those hunting her down. On the other hand, the shock from appecting her faith to death only to be brought back without warning and knowing full on well that there wasn't ever going to be a person of the same species as her kind of really drove her a bit mental. Most of the choices she made during this time weren't out of strategy but out of a "fuck it, why not?" mentality, and they seemed to be on a power trip most of the time. Although they did seem to be gentle to their fellow followers, the savage way they pierced trough their enemies, bishops, etc proved that they were still rather full of rage at what happened. Everything had to be extreme wild and dangerous, otherwise she woudlng fee like she was truly alive
Their relationship with Nari has always been incredibly complex. To her, at first, he was this grander force, a force that played deeply in her salvation, and was the sole one for keeping her alive, and she did see him with respect first. However, as time went on and he kind of just let her do whatever with the cult, she found his initial grandeur disappear and just slowly began seeing him how he was "a sopping wet cat" eventually, when he was defeated and at her mercy, she saw him like a plaything. Something she could poke and prod to see what it would do and how it would react. Through all of this she was truthfuly enamored by him, but her feelings shifted from "thank you for everything you have done for me, I will give myself up for you if you so asked because you save my life" to "you have no right no question me, I am your leader, you are merely a pawn to me. Don't you get it? You're the follower now"
She married Narinder and made him and the other bishops disciples not out of trust, but to keep close tracks on them to make sure they didnt do anything funny (okay, maybe she did marry Nari out of love but whatevahh!! It doesnt matter). She tries being nice to them, but its very obvious she's faking it. Obviously, the scars from the trauma still burn.
the lamb presents themselves as a vessel of chaos, and they quite immaturely do whatever the hell they want. And who’s in the right mind would stop her? This is the kind of freedom she was destined for after all.
The Future
At the end of the day, the lamb is doomed to a lonely, cold future. The trill of adventure and dangerous descisions can only cary for them for so long. As they say "the last god is a lonely god" and as much as they don't want to admit it, it is true. They are so so so lonely. Not litteraly, but more like spiritually. Either people love them because they are blindly following them, or they hate them because they serve a different mock deity or still follow the old faith (somehow), and the lamb just came and destroyed everything they knew and loved about their own faith. People die faster than she can ever register them living. You think that having such power over the people off these lands and not caring much about mortality would sent the lamb absolutely mental and have them have a big power trip, but she has just become more disconnected from life more than anything. They’ve done it all. They have tried it all. And now there’s nothing more to do.
the only thing that keeps them going is somehow being able to revive the lamb population and sheep culture , but it’s proven a hard task. They are only one sheep after all. She can’t always guarantee to deliver a lamb into this world. And that lamb can’t guarantee bringing their own lamb into the world, and so on and so forth. The task seems pointless, but they cling onto it, as a fruitless lass resort of hope to keep them going and keep ruling over their disciples and have them keep their head up and not succumb to cynicism. The lamb, goddess of death, has become nothing but a shell of emotion. They don’t feel anything strongly if they feel it at all. Anything and everything is just a routine for them they always have to go through. It seems that only Narinder can get them to feel anything during these times
Hopefully that’s enough to keep the lamb at bay.
(yap session over stay tuned for Nari next up)

It's no problem, and yeah, that's something that matters a lot because heck, mine's unfertile and the last of his species, no eonder why he's constantly overworking and deeply traumatized HAHA, it's complex and interesting too how you developed even the future!!
Btw on my knees asking very very please do to this of Narilamb swap because mine's a trans guy with little to no gender expression and it would be rlly fun 🙏🫠

HEADCANNONS THAT MAY HURT
Visit my other acc @voidcxltist bc this is only as a extra blog!
Tw for blood, explicit mention of some things and graphic scenes described, as well suicide mentions
-----
During the attack of Narinder to all of his silibings, he did serious injures, but, two three things,
1. I'm implying that their crowns were too tired to do the job they do in the original game (Leshy uses it as eye, Heket uses it as voice, Kallamar uses it as ears, Shamura uses it as part of their brain)
2. I'm also implying that the crowns couldn't do that job that day,
3. This is based to match on my AU's story plot, being slightly different to make it, angstier and darker
So, steel yourself.
What hurts the most is that;
- Leshy was basically a "godling", recently becoming a Bishop, and probably the most hurtful is that he never got to see if his silibings were more hurt than him, that until he saw it across the Crown, but for the days the crown rested, he was basically stumbling and tripping, with no one to help other than his 4 disciples (the witness & bosses of Darkwood)
- Heket's a frog / toad essentially, so she has gills, she can breathe with only sinking in a little water, but she was basically drowning in her blood, now being able to scream or plead for help, all being heard was a bubbling sound and gags and gaspy breaths (to rub salt only, she knew sign language, but no one else knew it, so she was basically doing senseless signs to them)
- Kallamar never heard the rest's screams, sobs and pleads, only seeing them talk, but nothing else, his heart pounding on his bleeding ears, everything quiet, but his body was loud. He most likely covered himself, trying to evade the horrid sight. Not even bothering on trying to reach to his silibings
- Shamura was the one who knew recipes and medicines, but with part of their brain gone with their skull, they couldn't remember them, leaving more pain and not meeting the expectatives of their poor younger silibings, mostly of Leshy, who baselessly clamed that they were being selfish for not helping anyone.
- Narinder was also hurt, realizing too late he'd done a mistake, seeing the blood filling his hands as he stared around, no one daring to look into his eyes. How coukd a young child do such atrocity? He fell deep into a hole, trying to unalive himself at the moment, but the crown, tired too, didn't let him. After that day, tension rised, but no one mentioned it openly until trapping him.
- While being trapped, the cat pleaded, screamed, sobbed and unconsciously swinged his claws to the air, trying to grasp at something.
"I know I was bad! Please! Don't leave me alone! I am your silibing! Sorry! Forgive me— Shamura, will you say something?!"
- Shamura didn't.
- While the punishment continued, Shamura felt more and more guilt despite them being the mastermind, so, they brought Aym and Baal to Narinder and spoke to them in the Purgatory, that until Narinder snapped at them, and tried to jump to attack them.
- Narinder tried several times to unalive himself with constant pleadings to the Red Crown, it didn't heard. After some time, Narinder's mind snaps and shatters into the twisted, "stronger" self: The One Who Waits, this name being taken from a phrase told to Narinder while Shamura left
"You'll always be waiting. Waiting a forgiveness no one will give you. Waiting for someone to hear you like I tried to do. Once you become the one who waits to a miracle to save you it's not fun, hm?"
- In fact, Aym and Baal pretended they didn't, but they heard Narinder sometimes sob and plead to what's somewhat of a hallucination of Shamura that he meant no harm, he was just too scared
