HelpingHand (Week 11)

For this week, we successfully presented our UI design. The panelists gave us lots of feedback and suggestions, and we appreciate it as it gave us more ideas to make our website better. The presentation was quite nerve-wracking but we managed to finish it with no major problems. As soon as the presentation was over, I immediately applied and did all the suggestions and added more stuff so the flow and design of our website will be better.

HelpingHand (Week 10)

For this week, we have been preparing for the UI presentation. I applied the suggestions and feedbacks of my instructor, and I'm happy with how it turned out. Though, I'm planning to improve it in the future.

HelpingHand (Week 9)

For this week, I added the settings page in our UI design. Not much was done, as I was busy with other subjects. So my focus was mainly on our research.

HelpingHand (Week 8)

In week 8, we had to make chapter 3 of our research paper and revise chapter 1 and 2. I also made plans regarding our UI, so I can apply our instructor's suggestions and feedback regarding our website.

HelpingHand (Week 7)

For this week, I updated the Home Page and created the Shop page for the sellers. We have also been doing chapter 3 of our research paper.

HelpingHand (Week 6)

For this week, I've been making the help page, and profile page, but it's not yet finalized. I've also been brainstorming ideas for good designs, hopefully I'll get it done before the next week comes.

HelpingHand (Week 5)

This week has been the busiest. We started working on our research paper and other activities. We did our own fair share of work so that everyone can contribute. And because of teamwork and communication, we managed to finish it before the deadline.

Besides the activities, I've finally began finalizing the design of our UI after many tries and experimenting. I decided on this one because I think it fits the vibe of our website. There is more to be done though, such as, the Help page, Profile page, and more. I will work on that when I have the time.

And thankfully, we haven't encountered any major problems, so far.

HelpingHand (Week 4)

For this week, I worked on the layout again and started experimenting with stuff. Our front end and back end has also started their work and we are now discussing about our next step to work more efficiently. The progress is slow, but we are getting there.

HelpingHand (Week 3)

For this week, we finally started to work on the website after lots of planning and thought. As for myself, I've started to design the layout of our UI, particularly, the sign up page. I'm not sure with the current design yet and I'm planning to improve it in the future. We also decided to regularly update about our works in our group chat so we can make the necessary revisions and changes and also to avoid cramming. It's been a slow and steady process, mainly because we also have other subjects to worry about, but we are doing our best. And so far, we haven't encountered any major problems yet.

HelpingHand (Week 1 & 2)

WEEK 1:

For the first week, we were giving suggestions to each other about what our business proposal was gonna be about. After lots of thought, we finally decided on a website that only allows students to sell their products and services, in order to give them a platform that can help them make extra income while also eliminating big name competitors. Since we are just testing the waters, we decided to make the site exclusive for CDO students only. After collectively agreeing on this business proposal, we started making our PowerPoint presentation and also our survey in order to hear the opinions of students about our proposed website. And so far, the reviews have been positive.

WEEK 2:

For this week, we began discussing what features we should implement to our site while also keeping in mind our strengths and limits. We also began assigning roles (front end, back end, deployment, UI) so that we can research what we should do and familiarize ourselves with the work. We put all the related information in a singular pdf file in order to keep track of things.

As for myself, I am responsible for the UI, so I've began familiarizing myself with Figma so I can get started as soon as possible, and also do my work in an efficient manner.
