I'm a really big superhero fan, I like teen wolf, & often make strange nosies for no reason. My personal aesthetic is dad hats, bees, naps, & supporting my friends.
In the name of the Warrior, I charge you to be brave. In the name of the Father, I charge you to be just. In the name of the Mother, I charge you to defend the innocent.
I don’t think The Magicians writers understand what they’ve done. How deeply Quentin Coldwater resides in queer and mentally ill people. How so much of his struggles mirrored others. How so real he was. How much it’s going to take to mourn someone you put your hopes into when you couldn’t put your hope in yourself.
Okay but listen y’all… listen. Q stepped through that doorway into unknown fucking territory and anything is possible. And I need you all to give me your fic where him stepping through that doorway isn’t his end. It’s only his beginning. Regardless of where this show goes in the season(s) to come, they can’t take these characters away from us. They can’t actually take Quentin away from us. We can give Quentin the beautiful life and ending that he deserves a thousand times over. He can step through that doorway of death back into life. He can find Eliot again. He can find Julia again. He can find Alice again. Quentin Coldwater is a character that belongs to all of us, and the true power of fandom is to transform something devastating into something beautiful. Please give me your stories. I am going to need them. We all are. And I am going to do my very best to give you mine. <3
I think the thing that makes me angriest about this episode is that it was beautiful. The cinematography was stunning and the acting was incredible and the campfire sing off should have been a perfect wrap up. But a pretty coat does not truly cover up the hurt they have inflicted upon their viewers.
