I learned many things in this subject. But the lesson that struct me the most is how we connect our ideal self and our real self. Because before i start this school year i am different when it comes in dealing things at home, school and even on my friends. But this lesson teaches me to connect the ideal self and the real self. It really helps me a lot in obtaining the balance of life. It really woke me up. I really understand myself more this is one of the reason why i choose the course Bs Psych. Compatibility Mode
I learned that i am a Visual, Musical,Logical and Existential so i am more of a Introspective with analytic type of person. I am a fan of displaying an aptitude for numbers, reasoning and problem solving. I am a person who typically do well in traditional classrooms where teaching is logically sequenced and students are asked to conform. I can also learn well through songs, patterns, rhythms, instruments and musical expression. It is easy to overlook children with this intelligence in traditional education. Also i learn in the context of where humankind stands in the "big picture" of existence. They ask "Why are we here?" and "What is our role in the world?" This intelligence is seen in the discipline of philosophy

Self Care
I manage my stress thru doing the Stop, Think and Move, these steps can help me regain consciousness in what i am doing. I am obese and i admit i lack in self care when it comes to my body but i am happy because i learned to love myself more and make diet easier because i discipline myself. I am well motivated because i love this course and i am much more willing to learn more about it. I need to improve my self when it comes to fiteness. My body needs more excercise. I should avoid eating unhealthy foods and i should avoid toxic people in my life.

Long-term goal
I have many Goals that i want to achieve but theres a Goal that i really want to achieve and that’s making my Parents proud, Giving my soon wife and children a very convenient and comfortable and to be a Successful investor/business man. I will achieve my Goal thru studying hard and working hard, Also make Good and wise decisions. I am very lucky because my Parents can provide and can invest in me because they know that i have a skills and passion in what i do. I will use that as a resource in my growth to achieve my goal in life. I need to finish college as soon as possible because the earlier i graduate the more chances and more achievements i can achieve. Life is meaningless without a Goal. Whats the purpose in life if you dont have a Goal. If all goes to plan i can finish college at the age of 24. I will work hard and really do my best to achieve my goal before i turn to 30 years of age.

What are the things that you like about eastern concept? And when other nationalities be little you . how would you respond? How would you defend your race?
Eastern concept focuses on meditation. They value ones life before and after death. If i was forced to pick one of the eastern religion i would pick Confucius because of his saying “Do not do unto others what you don’t want done to yourself.” This values me because my family believed in karma specially the bad ones in the simple saying don’t do things that you might get angry if you were the one who is the victim. Just like my mindset every-time i am seeking for something like revenge or letting my grudge and words out. I wont gonna do things if i might get hurt of the karma According to my research he also said “let the ruler be the ruler, let the subject a subject, a father a father and a son a son” it simply says giving respect and knowing your place specially in an argument.

Ivan Kent G. Sombilla. BS PSYCH 81A
What are the things that you did in the past that you think you need to apologize to yourself? And what are the things that you would like to commend yourself about? Write a letter to your self.
Dear self,
I am sorry if a made you feel worthless drowning in the dept of sorrow, learning how to regain self love and self care.i am sorry if i making you feel like you are begging for what you deserve. I know life is hard but please be strong to me. My greatest regret is letting my self drown and expecting someone to rescue me.Times are dark staring at a window thinking whats my worth and whats the point of living when you have nothing or anyone to lean on. . But then i realized no one can save me but myself. Yes that’s the achievement that i didn’t value until now. I wanna commend myself cause i successfully recovered from depression, anxiety and being ungrateful of life. I wanna commend myself for being strong and not giving up on times that i need help so bad.

Ivan Kent G. Sombilla. BS PSYCH 81A
As i said in my previous blog i was raised in a very religous family, with a religion of Roman Catholic. My father Andresito F. Sombilla is a manager and a banker for almost 30 years now. He has a sideline business of a truck and car repairshop in General Santos City (My hometown). My mother Charlotte G. Sombilla is a business women, she has a minimart in our subdivision and it is famous because we sell cheap and affordable products, and she is the President in our GKK (Gagmayng Kristohanong katilingban) for almost 8 years now. My family is known in our subdivision (Deca Homes Mintal, Davao City) as being a model family because we are active in the church Papa (my father) is a Layminister (kaabag) who serve communion in the chapel. I am also a altar server in our church back then. I have 3 siblings i am the youngest and the cutest. Me and my brothers name starts with “ivan” because ivan is a russion word means john. The meaning of john in the bible is God’s Gift. My brothers names are Ivan kirk G. Sombilla, Ivan Karl G. Sombilla, Ivan Kyle G. Sombilla and Ivan Kent G. Sombilla (me). My oldest brother Ivan Kirk Sombilla is a Doctor in Australia (anesthesiologist). My second elder brother is a Graduate in BS IT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology) and now working in a Bank just like my father. My third older brother is Ivan Kyle Sombilla he is a gradaute in BSBA major in marketing. My mother is born in Sogod, Southern leyte. My father is born in ilo-ilo city. They both met in cebu city they both go to the same College (university of cebu) . My mama and papa are married for 30 years now. They have been together for a long time but the sweetness and the support that they show to eachother is so limitless. My father always tells me that no matter what happens mama is always right and mama is the boss. A quote says “kung unsa imo makita saimo ginikanan mao ang imong masundog” thats why me and my Girlfriend are almost 6 years now. But behind all those values and my family background there’s a ton of things that’s going on theres no perfect family. We also have our negative sides because my papa is a banker and a boss in the bank he tends to bring his attitude to home. Some of it can cause trouble and make things easily heated. My father is 51 years old and my mother is also 51 years old. But still i am happy with my family i admit i am spoiled sometimes but still they discipline me in ways that can help me grow.

As what St. Augustine said, a man's soul is imperfect --and for it to be perfect we humans must yearn to the divine. I can really relate to his philosophical views because I was raised in a religious family -- we are Roman catholic to be specific. We believe that when we die, our body will remain here on earth but our soul will be judged by the divine. If we don’t repent, we'll surely go to hell but if we yearn and praise his presence, we'll surely go to heaven --wherein our soul can live a long and happy life.
My dad always tells and pushes us to do good deeds, because earthly things can only be remembered here on earth but the good deeds is like investing things in heaven. Our family priest also told us that if we donate things or give things whole heartedly, its like we're building a house above; If you give a carpet you will also have a carpet in heaven but it’s more beautiful compared to the ones you gave; If you give and share even if it's just a small amount, God will repay you 10x fold of it.
In conclusion, my family believes more in the essence of the soul, rather than the body itself. That's why I really admire how St. Augustin perceives oneself --not just because I love the idea but because I grew up on that concept as a human.
